protect protect This water-based, forms an invisible, protective, layer delivering a unique anti-microbial barrier that kills bacteria immediately on contact and offers long-term protection. It has been rigorously tested in British Laboratories and has been shown to destroy up to 99.9999% of bacteria, mould, fungi and viruses, including spore-forming organisms such as C Diff. Tested as effective for more than 90 days against microbes such as MRSA, C Diff spore and Legionella, the performs like a magnet attracting microbes onto the treated layer of product. When the bacterium comes into contact with this layer, the cell is ruptured, electrocuting the bio-chemicals within and killing the microbe on contact. ULTRAmicrofibre consists of very fine threads of polyester and polyamide that combine to form a single thread. One ULTRAmicrofibre is 100 times thinner than a single strand of human hair. ULTRAmicrofibres are so small that they can attach themselves to even the smallest, most microscopic dirt particles, ones that normal cloth fibres crudely brush past. The physical process by which it achieves this is called van der Waals force after their discoverer, Nobel-prize winning Dutch chemist Johannes Diderik van der Waals. There is a microscopic amount of van der Waals force between the ULTRAmicrofibre and dirt particle. As there are millions of ULTRAmicrofibres in a cloth, the overall force of attraction is magnified dramatically. Hence dirt and dust are hoovered up. Use the Ultra-Microfibre cloth with water alone to clean your fabric upholsteries safely, without clogging up the surface with soap and spoiling the stain resist. Use the MACROfibre cloth to efficiently clean vinyl and faux leather upholsteries with or without a mild non-alkali soap as necessary. Sturdy, long and tough, these brush-like MACROfibres have chiselled ends which access the tiny crevices of hard surfaces where dirt hides and lifts it away using nothing more than water. Their unique size and shape ensures that captured dirt is rinsed clean away for a fresh finish.
