Product Specifications Seamed Roman Shades For shades wider than the fabric width, shades will be made with a varying width center panel. Side panels are seamed to a minimum* of 9 wide on both sides. Varying Width in Center Panel *Side panel width is determined based on the following. Standard deduction allowance applies. 1. If the difference between shade and fabric width is less than or equal to 18, the width of the side panel will be 9. 2. If the difference is greater than 18, the width of the side panel will be the difference divided by 2. Care & Cleaning Roman Shades Cleaning Option 1 - Dusting with a feather duster or soft cloth lightly on the surface. Do not use abrasive materials. Option 2 - Vacuuming with a soft brush attachment lightly on the surface. Do not use strong suction or an abrasive brush. Option 3 - Use a damp cloth/ sponge with lukewarm water for spot cleaning on the surface. Do not use a cleanser or an abrasive brush. Silks Cleaning: All of our silks are Dry Clean Only materials. The best way to keep your shades clean is to lightly vacuum them periodically. Use a hand held vacuum or a vacuum attachment. Do not use your upright vacuum. Wrinkles and Ironing: If your shades are wrinkled, allow them to hang for a few days as most of the creases will usually disappear naturally. Avoid using water or steam press as there is a risk of water spotting and shrinking. Sunlight: Silk is a natural fiber and can be damaged by direct sunlight. Silk is made of the same protein that our hair is made of and it bleaches and breaks down in sunlight. Our standard lining will help protect your silks from moderate UV exposure. If your window receives heavy sunlight you should consider using the blackout lining. Water: Avoid getting any water on the silks as it may leave a permanent water spot on silks. Cottons Cleaning: The best way to keep your shades clean is to lightly vacuum them periodically. Use a hand held vacuum or a vacuum attachment. Do not use your upright vacuum. You may spot clean the fabric using cold water and mild detergent. Leave the shade on the window and allow it to air dry. Do not use dryer. Wrinkles and Ironing: Depending on your preference, you can steam your shade on the cotton temperature setting (medium to low). Sunlight: Like all materials, cottons will fade over time. Darker colors will show fading more noticeably than lighter colors. Water: Water and mild detergent can be used to spot clean the shades. 13

This should include the window frame and overlap (minimum recommended overlap is 1½ - 2 per side). 2) Measure the exact height the shade will cover. This should include the window frame and overlap (minimum recommended overlap is 1½ - 2 per side). Inside Mount 1) Measure the exact width inside the window opening in 3 places. Use the narrowest dimension. The factory will take a deduction of 3/8 for operating clearance. 2) Measure the exact height inside the window opening in 2 places. Use the dimension. 3) Measure the sill depth of the window opening to determine the mounting requirement. 14
