Merchandising General Merchandising Checklist Walk the entire garden center to check watering needs and prioritize tasks. Find a Team Leader and determine daily game plan Water any dry product Remove and dispose of damaged product. Check for any new deliveries Empty the top shelf of any carts Merchandise the front curb appeal Restock all end caps Consolidate and organize all of the inside tables for replenishing Check all signage and make sure all items are signed properly Take any empty carts to the back of the store to the designated location for pick up Clean and sweep up your work areas Walk the entire garden center to double check everything
Watering and Toss Watering is preventative work Should be first task done daily With consistent watering, plants stay healthy and fresh Toss plants that you would not buy keep the display fresh! Take time to water so you can prevent unnecessary toss!!!
Signs needed on each display Accurate signs for each product Timely ad signs to maximize promotions Signs and Ad Signs Customers are frustrated when they can t find the price of products.

Place carts up front on curb appeal in an organized fashion Consolidate and remove top shelf of product. SIGN and WATER!!! Use carts to display product during the busy weeks One cart w/7shelves = 6.56 pallets
