Brunei Darussalam XXL Bio Green Energy Testing Area: Wasan, Brunei

Project Wasan In October 2013, XXL team collaborated with Pehin Dato Haji Mohammed, a local paddy farm owner in Wasan Brunei Darussalam, to test out the effects of XXL Bio Green Energy treatment. The soil recondition test was conducted on a type of paddy known as Paddy Laila on Pehin Dato Haji Mohammed 2 plots of land. The test duration was from October 1, 2013 to November 26, 2013 and consist of 8 treatments in total. The main purpose of XXL Bio Green Energy treatment is to recondition the soil which has been severely damaged by long term exposure to chemical pesticides, fertilizers such as lime stone, urea and other foreign substances introduced into the soil. All treatments were administered by Pehin Dato Haji Mohammed and his workers. By the end of the 8 treatments, there is a significant improvement on the plot of land compared with the other plots which was not treated by XXL Bio Green Energy.

Before Treatment Before XXL Bio Green Energy treatment, Pehin Dato Haji Mohammed paddy field was not able to produce large quantity of Laila paddy regardless of how much effort and investment he has committed throughout the years. The Liala paddy plant was infested with pest such as the Cnaphalocrocis medinalis (Ulat Gulung) / Scirpophagea incertulas (Ulat Pengorek Batang), snails etc. Therefore Pehin s paddy field was unable to produce much grain. Hence, Pehin Dato Haji Mohammed had to rely heavily on chemical pesticides which in turn damages the soil condition resulting in lesser and lesser grain produced over the years. Cnaphalocrocis medinalis / Scirpophagea incertulas Snail

How XXL Bio-Green Energy Work? The humus and clay minerals in XXL Bio-Green Energy when combined will form a new structure called aggregation. It will improve soil stability and enhance soil water infiltration and gas exchange capacity. The application of XXL into soil can prevent soil cracking and also prevent moxibustion which will caused crop roots to heat burns. As natural organic substance is not water soluble, soil which contains high humic acid is less likely to have erosion problems. XXL is a very active microbial substance which it will help in the absorption of nitrogen, phosphorous and iron and many other trace elements. It also can combine with metal, minerals and other soluble and non-soluble organic compound. The interaction of the nutrients between these compounds will convert into a manner which can be directly absorbed by plants.

Total Different Results With and Without XXL Bio Green Energy within 8 weeks time.

Soil Comparison BEFORE and AFTER 1 time XXL Treatment Before After Soil at tested plot (1st October 2013) Before Treatment Soil at Tested Plot (15th October 2013) After 1 treatment

Important root system to the plants The principal functions of roots are anchorage, absorption of water and minerals, and synthesis of nitrogen compounds and growth regulators such as abscisic acid, cytokinins, and gibberellins which have essential roles in shoot growth and functioning, Root play a role as sensors if water stress which causes them to send water to the plants whenever it feel the plant overheats.

Root Comparison WITH and WITHOUT XXL ~ October 29, 2013 Without XXL Treatment Soil without XXL treatment, as shown on the left, doesn t promote healthy secondary roots or hair roots growth. Consequently, the paddy plant is unable to receive nutrient and water efficiently from it roots. Therefore we saw overburn mark which prove that the root unable to distribute water very well to the plane.this will in turn affect plant growth and reduce the plant s immune system to defend itself from diseases With XXL Treatment The paddy plant shown on the photo, grown on soil treated with XXL, shows healthier root growth. The plant also has no burn marks which we can conclude that the soil is well treated and it enable the root to distribute water and nutrients to the plant at all time. It make the plant and the leaves growth healthy. The treatment boosts higher plant immune system and stronger plant development which will result in higher productivity.

Paddy Growth WITHOUT XXL ~ November 19, 2013 The paddy leaves are not in healthy condition as the leaves are drooping and are not strong enough to survive let alone produce grain. Unhealthy leave blade on untreated paddy plot

Paddy Growth WITH XXL ~ November 19, 2013 Paddy plants treated with XXL treatment has greener and more luscious leaves compared to other plots which was not expose to XXL treatment. The leaf blades are much stronger and are growing upright instead of drooping. Very healthy leave blade with strong growing upright

Paddy field WITH and WITHOUT XXL Treatment ~ November 26, 2013 Without XXL With XXL Paddy not enough nutrients and left blade not strong enough to support the paddy to growth Paddy growing very well and very strong due to better soil to provide enough water and nutrient to plant.

Panicle Growth WITH and WITHOUT XXL Treatment soil ~ November 26, 2013 Without XXL Less growth of panicle in untreated farm With XXL High growth of panicle at XXL Treated plot

Paddy field WITH and WITHOUT XXL Treatment ~ November 26, 2013 Picture above shows that the plant is unhealthy due to its low immune system and is suffering from pest and other diseases. This will result in more dead panicles which causes the plant to produce less grain and low yield during harvest time. Picture above shows that the plant immune system is strong enough to prevent from worm or any diseases. As advised by Mr.Pehin, the paddy growth on the plots treated by XXL treatment is much healthier and stronger compared to other plots of paddy plants on his farm. Healthier plant growth will result in high yield during harvest time.

Summary The Wasan Project serves as a testimony to the effectiveness of XXL Bio Green Energy treatment to condition even the most severely damaged soil to promote healthier plant growth and increase productivity. The XXL treatment treats plants from the roots, promoting stronger and healthier roots to better distribute nutrients and water to the plant. Healthy plants will in turn produce better quality and quantity harvest. Without XXL With XXL

Return on Investment Normal Harvest After XXL Treatment Increment (%) Different (with & Without XXL ) Return On Investment 660 kg 990 kg 50 % BND 528.00 4 seasons of paddy 660 kg 1320 kg 100 % BND 1156.00 2 seasons of paddy 660 kg 1650 kg 150 % BND 1584.00 2 seasons of paddy 660 kg 1980 kg 200 % BND 2112.00 1 season of paddy The results above is calculated based on the Wasan project testing plot. Normal harvest result based on previous record. After XXL Bio-Green Energy treatment results calculated based on 2 plots only. ROI calculated based on XXL Bio-Green Energy treatments 1 through 8 sessions. Cost of XXL Bio-Green Energy is BND 98.00 per kg. A total of 2.5kg of XXL Bio-Green Energy was administered on 0.5 hectare of land. Laila paddy price in Brunei is BND 1.60 per kg. XXL Bio- Green Energy treatment is administered every 3 months once.

Extra saving after using XXL Bio-Green Energy by reduce use of pesticide, fertilizer and other Pesticide usage can be reduce as plant grown on soil treated with XXL has higher immune system as proven in Wasan paddy fields. Fertilizer can reduce up to 30% usage as XXL soil can store nutrient and chemical fertilizer better after treatment. Cost of maintenance and fertilization of soil by fertilizers such as lime stone, urea and other micro product can be omitted totally as XXL acts as soil maintenance. Farmers can maximize harvest from their farm lands and do not need to increase land capacity to increase productivity. Increase on crop quantity and quality. Produces better taste with better grade.
