The space was unusable in its original condition, but Wentworth Property Company committed to utilizing the existing building infrastructure, believing that the building could be redeveloped into a modern Class A office building. The transformation of the building included opening the interior space to create a 171,000 SF open floor plate and soaring 26-foot exposed ceilings with steel beams. The once disjointed building is now a user-friendly building customized for Ditech Financial. The project included substantial site renovations comprising of underground retention, a new parking lot, significant shell improvements, a new building facade and monument entrance.
In less than one year Jokake Construction transformed a 1980 s lab space into a Class A office building designed by DAVIS. Complete with an open, flexible interior floor plan creating public and private workspaces with an abundance of natural light and access to the outdoors, the new office appeals to the 21st century workforce. The 28,000 SF office takes many cues from nature by incorporating a variety of shapes, bold colors and light.
