TIMBER Liquid spills should be removed immediately. Regular dusting with a cloth or feather duster. Avoid leaving objects for an extended amount of time. Use coasters under cold, hot or damp objects. Under no circumstance should an abrasive cleaner be used. Occasionally, lightly buff the surface in the direction of the wood grain with a soft lint-free cloth. Avoid exposing to direct sunlight, radiators, air conditioning, vents, humidifiers or fireplaces.
LAMINATE/MELAMINE Clean with with a soft, lint-free cloth in warm water mixed with diluted mild detergent. For heavier removal of food oils or stains use a mixture of warm water and diluted mild detergent. With a soft bristle brush, lightly brush the surface using circular motions. Rinse thoroughly and dry by gently buffing with a soft lint-free cloth in a light circular motion. Do not allow water to pool on a laminate or timber edge. Use of polishes or sealers are not recommended. Steel wool, hot water, solvent or an abrasive cleaner should never be used.
FABRIC Frequent gentle vacuuming is advised. Occasional thorough cleaning should be carried out by professional cleaners. Quickly address stains and spillages according to the substance. The following methods are most appropriate for the cleaning of nonremovable covers: Hot water extraction, on-site dry cleaning, shampoo cleaning. PLASTIC Clean regularly with a lint-free cloth dipped in a mixture of warm water and diluted mild detergent. We highly recommend the use of a protector such as Armorall on components such as chair bases, outer backs and seat shells in strict accordance with manufacturer s instructions.
STONE/MARBLE Regular dusting with a cloth or feather duster. Clean stone surfaces with a few drops of ph-neutral cleaner, stone cleaners or a mild liquid dish washing detergent and warm water. Do not use products that contain lemon, vinegar or other acids on marble. Rinse the surface thoroughly after washing with the soap solution and dry with a soft cloth. Do not use scouring powders or creams as these products contain abrasives that may scratch the surface. Blot spills immediately.
GLASS Dust surfaces regularly with a feather duster or a lint-free cloth. Frosted, sandblasted or glass with a film are prone to finger grease residue. Extra cleaning will be required on these surfaces. Use a recognised glass cleaner (such as Windex) and adhere to the manufacturer s instructions.
FINISHED LEATHER Dust regularly with clean, dry lint-free duster or cloth. Dust before cleaning. Keep away from direct sunlight and do not dry in sunlight. Keep away from heating sources and weather. Immediately wipe all moisture and liquids off surface with clean dry cloth. Do not use foreign non-specific cleaning products (ie: Shoe polish). Use proprietary leather cleaners only in strict accordance with manufacturer s instructions. Frequently clean contact areas such as arms & headrest to avoid a build-up of body oils.
VINYL Clean regularly using soap and warm water. Dry with a clean lint-free cloth. To remove persistent stains, gently wipe the affected area with an alcohol based solution (e.g., isopropyl alcohol), rinse with warm water and dry with a soft clean cloth. Use vinyl cleaners in strict accordance with manufacturer s instructions. Keep away from direct sunlight, heating sources & weather.
ANILINE OR NUBUCK LEATHER Remove all spills immediately using a clean dry cloth. Keep away from direct sunlight, heating sources & weather. Make sure the cloth you using is dry. Do not use cleaning products other than proprietary leather cleaners. Do not dry in direct sunlight. Do not scrub the surface. Use cleaning products in strict accordance with manufacturer s instructions. Frequently clean contact areas such as arms & headrest to avoid a build-up of body oils.
METAL Stainless Steel Regularly clean surfaces with cotton-wadding polish to remove dirt build-up, polish dry with a soft, lint-free cloth. Power-coated Metal Regularly clean surfaces with a soft lint-free cloth using mild detergent and warm water. Polished Aluminium Routine clean using cotton-wadding polish to remove dirt build up, polish dry with a soft, lint-free cloth. Apply a soft wax paste onto the metal surface as this will help prevent tarnishing. Cotton wadding polish is recommended for routine cleaning.
