Page 3 SPRING AUCTION, 2015 The spring Auction was held at the Lake Crab Tree Park, Morrisville, NC (Beech Pavillion ) on April 26, 2015. It was a chilly day BUT, were any of the orchid bidders deterred by a little thing like needing gloves for an auction? NO, not even the auctioneer! Harry Gallis and Sidney Cox were our auctioneers. There was an excellent selection of orchids for bidding and some very determined bidders. We had a lot of fun and some good laughs as the competition heated up (something had to since the day was not doing it). Often spontaneous applause broke out after a particularly vigorous bidding was successful. The silent auction was also a huge success and many happy people came away with the orchid(s) of their dreams. Many members and former members came to the event. It was great seeing so many familiar faces. Visit our website at: www.triangleorchidsociety.org
