Design Shades Fabric Summary Style & Colour Options
Important Information Design Shades SETTLING OUT All blinds settle out after installation. The fabric type, and the size, style an weight of the blind all affect the degree to which a blind settles out, and environmental factors also come into play. The process of settling out is a little unpredictable, the final drop of the blind may vary LIGHT BLEED All blinds allow light to pass around the sides of the fabric (even when Blockout fabric is used). This is because a small operating clearance must be left around both sides of the blind. To reduce light around the sides: If practical make the blind wider than it needs to be (when face fitting) so that the blind covers more area around the window.
Important Information Design Shades PUCKERING Puckering is completely normal and should be expected with all fabric blinds. Puckering results partly from the tension that the fabric is placed under when pockets are stitched into the fabric, and partly from fabric shrinkage. BLIND LENGTH +/- 5mm is our standard manufacturing tolerance for widths and drops. We cannot accept claims for blinds made less than +/- 5mm outside the ordered make sizes. CLEANING Design Shades are made from high quality anti static fabric making them naturally repel dirt and dust. A light vacuum or dusting is all that is required to keep your window furnishings looking beautiful.

Chain Safety - Corded Internal Window Coverings Trade Practices Regulations 2010 Important for Safe Installation & Operation In the sales process inform each customer of December 2010 ACCC National Safety Standards & our requirement to fit safety labels and for our installer to fit safety cleats. We PROVIDE a warning label on the chain or cord to highlight the risk of strangulation to children. We INSTALL chain safety cleats to prevent the possibility of a cord forming a loop 220mm or longer at a height of less than 1,600mm above floor level. We SCREW chain safety cleats to the wall or architrave to remain securely attached when subjected to a force of 70N (7kgs) applied in any direction for 10 seconds. Sales consultant should recommend to keep cots and furniture away from window coverings, cords/chains, to install & use safety devices that remove the cord loop or reduce access to cords
