Check ongoing validity of certification on-line: www.eurovent-certification.com GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS UNICO TURBO FL: air cooled liquid chillers for outdoor installation equipped with oil-free centrifugal compressors with magnetic levitation bearings, flooded evaporator and microchannel condensing coils. The machines are made with weather resistant materials and suitable for outdoor installation. Framework with sections of thick steel for high resistance to the greatest stress during handling and transport. Machines supply fully assembled with refrigerant charge and control systems. The installation requires electrical and hydraulic connections only allowing high costs and time reduction. Final assembly on all machines before shipment including running test, reading and monitoring of operating parameters, alarms simulation and visual check. Design, assembly and test as per the Company Quality Assurance program in full compliance with ISO 9001. RC Group has been the first Italian company in its segment to get the ISO 9001 in October 13 th, 1991 with certificate ICIM 0018. The machines are in full compliance with European Norms 2006/42CE, 2006/95CE, 2004/108CE, 97/23CE and subsequent amendments. ANTIFREEZE MIXTURES Machines can work with antifreeze mixtures although not necessary, because the machines do not accept outlet temperature of the liquid cooled below 4 C, the use of glycol mixture is a generic antifreeze protection, for machines not in operation during the winter season. STORING TEMPERATURE If the machine is not installed on receipt and is stored for a long time, store it in a protected place, at temperatures ranging between -30 C and 50 C in absence of superficial condensation and direct sun light. COMPONENTS FRAMEWORK Base, self supporting frame and panelling in steel plate with protective surfaces treatment in compliance with UNI ISO 9227/ASTMB117 and ISO 7253, and painted with epoxy powders. Colour: RAL 9002 textured COMPRESSORS Twin-turbine centrifugal compressor, oil-free type, optimized for R134a refrigerant. The term "oil-free" refers to the total absence of lubricating oil within the compressor Magnetic levitation bearings. REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT Components for each refrigerant circuit: Electronic expansion valve that allows high performance and system efficiency thanks to a timely and accurate response to changes in temperature and pressure. valve by-pass for start-up. Electronic by-pass valve for compressor start. Non return valve on by-pass line for compressor start. Economizer for model 280 T1E, 560 T2E, 810 T2E, 1070 T4E, 1120 T4E, 1200 T3E, 1500 T4E. The system includes: - Copper brazed plate type with cover plates, plates and connections in AISI 316 stainless steel. - Anticondensate insulation made of polyurethane. - Intermediate electronic expansion valve. Sight glass. Filter dryer on liquid line. Service valve on liquid line. Service valve on gas discharge. Non return valve on gas discharge. Safety valve on low pressure side. Safety valve on high pressure side. Pressure transducers with indication, control and protection functions, on low and high refrigerant pressure. High pressure safety switch with manual reset. Refrigerant circuit with copper tubing with anticondensate insulation of the suction line. Plastic capillary hoses for pressure sensors connection and cooling line of the compressor R134a refrigerant charge. ELECTRICALPANEL In accordance with EN60204-1 norms, suitable for outdoor installation, IP54 enclosure class, complete with: Main switch with door lock safety. Fuses for each compressor. Magnetothermic switches for fans or water pumps (if scheduled). Contactors for each load. Transformer for auxiliary circuit and microprocessor supply. Panel with machine controls. Power supply 400/3/50. CONTROL SYSTEM Microprocessor system with Touch Screen graphic display for control and monitor of operating and alarms status. The system includes: - Voltage free contact for remote general alarm. - Main components hour-meter. - Integrated Data logger function for the recording of events and alarms. - Non-volatile Flash memory for data storage. - Menu with protection password. HYDRAULIC CONNECTIONS OF HEAT EXCHANGERS The heat exchangers threaded hydraulic connections are available up to a diameter of 3 " included, and correspond to ISO 228/1 G M. The pipes threaded hydraulic connections are available up to a diameter of 3 " included, and correspond to ISO 7/1 R. The hydraulic connections with flange (FL) are supplied as standard with counter flange. OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES The descriptions of these additional components can be found in Chapter OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES. GPU or GPU LN pumping group (see relevant chapter for technical data). The pumping group includes the chilled water safety flow switch. LNO Kit for a reduction of the machine noise emission (see relevant chapter for details) OTHER ACCESSORIES Isolation mounts: RC GROUP recommends installing the machine on continued support, for example rubber slab. Rubber shock absorbers. Spring supports are not allowed. Chilled water flow switch Special protective surface treatment - acrylic painting TK-PRO that achieves a high resistance to atmospheric agents, while maintaining the same conditions of heat exchange capacity. ELECTRIC DATA MAXIMUM ELECTRIC ABSORPTION CALCULATION This chapter is showing the maximum electrical absorption calculation of unit (A), corresponding to extreme working conditions. The involved components are the following: Compressors electric motor Condensers fans electric motors Water pumps electric motors (if present) The electrical data of the various components are indicated in the relative technical data sheets. MICROPROCESSOR CONTROL SYSTEM The microprocessor controls the machine guaranteeing on the one hand a precise and punctual temperature regulation, on the other hand integrating the safety functions relative to all fluid-dynamic circuits. The microprocessor controls the outlet temperatures of the chilled water through two set parameters, xk1 e xk2, as outlet temperatures from the evaporators, with possible remote commutation through voltage free contact. In any case, the microprocessor will modulate the electric input to the compressors motors to guarantee the maximum temperature precision in respect of the working range allowed by the centrifugal compressors. For any working condition, the control will cleverly manage the number of compressors to be activated in a combined optics of safety and energy saving. The system includes: Compact controller for DIN rail mounting 24Vac 50/60Hz 32-bit microprocessor 2 +2 MB flash memory (retains data without power) and memory RAM 512kB Integrated Data logger function for the recording of events and alarms. The motor rotation control is obtained with the EC system (Electronic Commutation) that manage the motor according to the 0 10V proportional signal coming from the microprocessor control. The versions equipped with LNO KIT having the following characteristics: Set of the working parameters. Specific settings for the control of ventilation Sound insulation of the compressor casing Isolation of the suction. The LNO KIT allow 3 different type of set: LNO KIT 100% No air flow reduction. Isolation of the delivery pipe, for the stretch from the flange on the compressor to the manifold. LNO KIT 85% Reduction of air flow to 85% of the nominal value reported in Technical Data Isolation of the delivery pipe, for the stretch from the flange on the compressor to the manifold. LNO KIT 70% Reduction of air flow to 70% of the nominal value reported in Technical Data Isolation of the delivery pipe, for the stretch from the flange on the compressor to the manifold. SUPER SILENCED VERSION Special versions may still be required to meet more stringent requirements on noise, not achievable with the devices described above.
