Imagine RBC 2010 The Plan
Creation of New Space The creation of a new Student Center will greatly relieve the demands on existing space. Currently 1,700 students, including both RBC and St. James Grammar School, share one gym. The new facility will more than double physical education space, will add a needed fitness center, two state of the art classrooms, locker rooms and storage space, which is currently non-existent, and will house the Alumni Hall of Fame and Trophy Room in a proper venue. The magnificent building will also serve as a focal point for the plan which creates a true campus. Highlights of the New Structure 31,000 square feet of space Allows for several, diverse physical education classes to take place simultaneously, allowing us to serve more students 2 state of the art classrooms equipped with advanced technology which can be combined to create a larger group meeting space 2,200 square foot fitness center equipped with the latest training equipment 2 physical education locker rooms 4 team rooms with 100 lockers each Tradition Hall - Our Hall of Fame A concession stand A potential $14,000 annual savings for St. James Grammar School which rents gym space for athletic teams Infrastructure upgrades including a new heating system for the entire plant. This was completed in September 07 and is expected to result in significant savings in heating costs.
The creation of this building calls for a reconfiguration of the parking lot. The plan addresses safety issues including a more efficient traffic pattern; a new, safer plan for boarding buses which also helps to ease local traffic; and designated pedestrian walkways. The campus will also have common areas and landscaping. Project Cost : $12 Million Projected Completion Date: 2010 Funding Source: Capital Campaign Greetings From Florida Red Bank Catholic Alumni living in Florida greeted Imagine RBC 2010 with typical Casey Spirit. Securing Additional Space: A Partnership with the Community Red Bank Catholic is located in a culturally rich community. We looked for opportunities for our students within the town. We were able to secure exclusive daytime use of the beautifully renovated YMCA Cultural Center on Monmouth Street. Our Fine Arts classes are scheduled there every day and the flourishing Dance Program uses the upstairs which is a designated performing arts space.
This is our moment to be idealistic in the best sense of the word. Every generation has a responsibility to leave RBC better than they found it. We are resolved to get it right and that will take financial strength. ~ Robert Abatemarco Principal
