IN CASE OF EMERGENCY INVOLVING A MAJOR SPILL, FIRE OR POISONING, CALL 1-800-327-8633 (FASTMED) PRODUCT INFORMATION HERITAGE MAXX Fungicide is a broad spectrum, preventative fungicide with systemic and curative properties recommended for the control of many diseases on turf. HERITAGE MAXX Fungicide may be applied as a foliar spray as part of an integrated disease management strategy for turf on golf courses and commercial turf farms. Cultural practices such as appropriate choice of turf variety, nutrient management, proper cutting height, thatch management, and proper watering, drainage, and moisture stress management, should be integrated with the use of fungicides to increase turf vigour and reduce susceptibility to disease. Consult local agricultural and turf authorities in your area for guidance. CAUTION: HERITAGE MAXX Fungicide has been shown to be extremely phytotoxic to certain apple and crabapple varieties. HERITAGE MAXX Fungicide should not be applied where there is the possibility of spray drift reaching apple and crabapple trees. DO NOT use sprayers used to apply HERITAGE MAXX Fungicide to spray apples or crabapples. DO NOT graze or feed clippings from the treated area to livestock. DO NOT apply HERITAGE MAXX Fungicide with silicone-based wetting agents due to possible phytotoxicity. DIRECTIONS FOR USE As this product is not registered for the control of pests in aquatic systems, DO NOT use to control aquatic pests. DO NOT contaminate irrigation or drinking water supplies or aquatic habitats by cleaning of equipment or disposal of waste. Field sprayer application: DO NOT apply during periods of dead calm. Avoid application of this product when winds are gusty. DO NOT apply with spray droplets smaller than the American Society of Agricultural Engineers (ASAE) medium classification. Boom height must be 60 cm or less above the crop or ground. Proper adjustments and calibration of spraying equipment, to give good canopy penetration and coverage, is essential for good disease control. The higher rates, in the rate range and/or shorter

Page 9 of 17 spray intervals, may be required under conditions of heavy infection pressure, highly susceptible varieties, or when disease conducive environmental conditions exist. DO NOT apply by air. DO NOT apply through irrigation equipment.

Page 10 of 17 DO NOT apply through any type of ultra-low volume (ULV) spray system (less than 30 litres per hectare). Buffer zones: Use of the following spray methods or equipment DO NOT require a buffer zone: hand-held or backpack sprayer and spot treatment. The buffer zones specified in the table below are required between the point of direct application and the closest downwind edge of sensitive terrestrial habitats (such as grasslands, forested areas, shelter belts, woodlots, hedgerows, riparian areas and shrublands), freshwater habitats (such as lakes, rivers, sloughs, ponds, prairie potholes, creeks, marshes, streams, reservoirs and wetlands) and estuarine/marine habitats. Method of application Field sprayer Crop Buffer Zones (metres) Required for the Protection of: Freshwater Habitat of Depths: Estuarine/Marine Habitats of Depths: Terrestrial Habitat Less than 1 m Greater than 1 m Less than 1 m Greater than 1m Turf 2 1 1 1 1 Outdoor 2 1 1 1 1 Ornamentals For tank mixes, consult the labels of the tank-mix partners and observe the largest (most restrictive) buffer zone of the products involved in the tank mixture and apply using the coarsest spray (ASAE) category indicated on the labels for those tank mix partners. TURF: Golf Courses, Commercial Turf Farms - For control of Pythium blight, Brown Patch, Waitea Patch, Fusarium Patch, Gray Snow Mould, Pink Snow Mould, Anthracnose, Fairy Ring, Leaf Spots Melting-Out and Summer Patch. Refer to the following table to determine the appropriate use rate and application interval by target disease. Do not apply more than 28.4 L of HERITAGE MAXX Fungicide per hectare per year.

During prolonged periods of favourable conditions apply on the shorter application interval. 3.2 6.3 32-63 14-28 Apply when conditions are favourable for disease development, i.e., warmer temperatures between 20 to 30 C and during periods of high humidity and extended leaf wetness. Use the higher rate under moderate to severe disease pressure. During prolonged periods of favourable conditions apply on the shorter application interval. DO NOT apply more than 2 sequential applications of Heritage MAXX Fungicide before alternating with a fungicide of a different group with a different mode of action. 3.2 6.3 32-63 14-28 Apply when conditions are favourable for disease development, i.e., extended period of cool (<15.5 o C) and wet weather in spring and fall. 9.5 12.6 95-126 1 fall application 3.2 6.3 32 63 14-28 6.3 63 28 Apply in late fall before snow cover. Do not apply on top of snow. Use the higher rate if there is a history of severe snow mould infection on the site. Use preventatively. Begin applications when conditions are favorable for disease infection, prior to disease symptom development. Apply as soon as possible after fairy ring symptoms develop. Severely damaged or thin turf may require reseeding. Fairy ring symptoms may take 2 to 3 weeks to disappear following application.

Apply the lower rate at 14-day intervals or the higher rate at 28-day intervals. Note: HERITAGE MAXX Fungicide alone does not control Dollar Spot. For Dollar Spot control please refer to the tank mix recommendations below. Dollar Spot - TANK MIX ONLY HERITAGE MAXX Fungicide alone does not control Dollar Spot. To control Dollar Spot, HERITAGE MAXX Fungicide must be tank mixed with either BANNER MAXX Fungicide at 26-51 ml/100 m 2, DACONIL 2787 Flowable Fungicide at 190 ml/100 m 2 or DACONIL ULTREX Fungicide at 115 g/100 m 2. Read the label of BANNER MAXX Fungicide, DACONIL 2787 Flowable Fungicide or DACONIL ULTREX Fungicide and follow the precautionary statements, directions for use (rates, diseases controlled and application intervals) and other restrictions. Application Directions: Apply the required amount of HERITAGE MAXX Fungicide in 8 to 16 litres of water per 100 m 2 (800 to 1600 litres per hectare). Repeat applications at specified intervals and do not apply more than 28.4 L of HERITAGE MAXX Fungicide per hectare per year. Use the shorter specified application interval when prolonged favourable disease conditions exist. (Refer to Resistance Management section). HERITAGE MAXX Fungicide Only Mixing Instructions: To prepare spray solution, partially fill the spray tank with clean water and begin agitation. Add the specified amount of HERITAGE MAXX Fungicide to the tank, allowing time for good dispersion. Finish filling the tank to the desired volume to obtain the proper spray concentration. Maintain agitation throughout the spraying operation. Do not allow spray mixture to stand overnight or for prolonged periods. Make up only the amount of spray required for immediate use. Sprayers should be thoroughly cleaned immediately after application. Do not use siliconebased products with HERITAGE MAXX Fungicide due to possible phytotoxicity. Mixing and Application Guidance: Refer to the following table for assistance in calculating product requirements based on target application spray volume, and size of mix load. Amount of HERITAGE MAXX Fungicide (millilitres) required for each 100 litres of spray solution at selected rates and target application volumes:

Page 13 of 17 Rate of HERITAGE MAXX Fungicide Target Application Volume (litres/100 m 2 ) (ml/100 m 2 ) 8 12 16 32 400 266.7 200 63 787.5 525 393.8 95 1187.5 791.7 593.8 126 1575 1050 787.5 Rate of HERITAGE MAXX Fungicide Target Application Volume (litres/ha) (L /ha) 800 1200 1600 3.2 400 266.7 200 6.3 787.5 525 393.8 9.5 1187.5 791.7 593.8 12.6 1575 1050 787.5 Examples: 1) If the intended rate of application is 32 millilitres per 100 m 2, and the sprayer is calibrated to deliver 12 litres per 100 m 2, a 100 litre batch size would require 266.7 millilitres of HERITAGE MAXX Fungicide. 2) If the intended rate of application is 6.3 litres per hectare, and the sprayer is calibrated to deliver 800 litres per hectare, each 100 litres of spray solution would require 787.5 millilitres of HERITAGE MAXX Fungicide. Tank Mixtures - Pesticides: For Dollar Spot control, HERITAGE MAXX Fungicide can be tank mixed with BANNER MAXX Fungicide or DACONIL 2787 Flowable Fungicide, DACONIL ULTREX Fungicide or SUBDUE MAXX Fungicide. HERITAGE MAXX Fungicide can also be tank mixed with PRIMO MAXX Turf Growth Regulator. Read the BANNER MAXX Fungicide, DACONIL 2787 Flowable Fungicide, DACONIL ULTREX Fungicide, SUBDUE MAXX Fungicide and PRIMO MAXX Turf Growth Regulator label(s) and follow the precautionary statements, directions for use (rates, diseases controlled and application intervals) and other restrictions. 1. Always check the compatibility of the tank mix using a jar test with proportionate amounts of HERITAGE MAXX Fungicide, BANNER MAXX Fungicide, DACONIL 2787 Flowable Fungicide, DACONIL ULTREX Fungicide, SUBDUE MAXX Fungicide and PRIMO MAXX Turf Growth Regulator or other chemicals to be used, and the water, before mixing in the spray tank. 2. Provide sufficient jet or mechanical agitation during filling and application to keep the tank mix uniformly suspended. 3. Fill tank at least 1/2 full of clean water. 4. If using BANNER MAXX Fungicide or SUBDUE MAXX Fungicide or PRIMO MAXX Turf Growth Regulator as a tank mix partner, add BANNER MAXX Fungicide or SUBDUE MAXX Fungicide and HERITAGE MAXX Fungicide first and then add PRIMO MAXX Turf Growth Regulator next. 5. If using DACONIL 2787 Flowable Fungicide as a tank mix partner, add HERITAGE MAXX Fungicide first and then DACONIL 2787 Flowable Fungicide next.

Page 14 of 17 6. If using DACONIL ULTREX Fungicide as a tank mix partner, add DACONIL ULTREX Fungicide first and then add HERITAGE MAXX Fungicide next. 7. Up to 2 applications are permitted if the total number of fungicide applications in a season is equal to or greater than 3. DO NOT apply more than 1 application of Heritage MAXX Fungicide or any other group 11 fungicide per season if the total number of fungicide applications is less than 3. Each application of Heritage MAXX Fungicide or any other group 11 fungicide on ornamentals should be alternated with at least one application of another fungicide from a different mode of action group registered for control of the target diseases.do not apply more than 2000 L/ha for foliar applications. DO NOT APPLY BY AIR. Ornamentals and ornamental varieties may vary in their tolerance to HERITAGE MAXX fungicide. Since not all ornamentals and ornamental varieties have been tested for tolerance to HERITAGE MAXX fungicide, small scale testing is recommended to ensure plant safety before large scale use. Tolerance to HERITAGE MAXX may also be affected by other factors including plant growth stage and environmental conditions. Consult your seed or plant supplier for information on the tolerance of specific varieties of ornamentals and ornamental varieties to HERITAGE MAXX fungicide. Post plant drenches should be made in a 20 cm band. RESISTANCE MANAGEMENT RECOMMENDATIONS For resistance management, please note that HERITAGE MAXX Fungicide contains a Group 11 fungicide. Any fungal population may contain individuals naturally resistant to HERITAGE MAXX Fungicide and other Group 11 fungicides. A gradual or total loss of pest control may occur over time if these fungicides are used repeatedly in the same fields. Other resistance mechanisms that are not linked to site of action but specific for individual chemicals, such as enhanced metabolism, may also exist. Appropriate resistance-management strategies should be followed. To delay fungicide resistance: HERITAGE MAXX Fungicide should be applied in an alternation program with other registered fungicides that have a different mode of action, and to which pathogen resistance has not developed. DO NOT apply more than two (2) applications before applying one (1) application of a fungicide of a

Page 17 of 17 different group with a different mode of action. Fungicide use should be based on an IPM program that includes scouting, historical information related to pesticide use and crop rotation and considers cultural, biological and other chemical control practices. Monitor treated fungal populations for sign of resistance development. If disease continues to progress after treatment with this product, do not increase the use rate. Discontinue use of this product, and switch to another fungicide with a different target site of action, if available. Contact your local extension specialist or certified crop advisors for any additional pesticide resistance-management and/or IPM recommendations for specific crops and pathogens in your area.
