Pelican Club Jupiter, FL April 2018 Newsletter April 2018

Cotleur & Hearing received final site plan approval in March for the Pelican Club. The project will renovate the existing Rustic Inn building in the Jupiter Inlet Village into a spectacular wedding, dining, and special events venue. The Pelican Club will be operated by Lessings, a highly regarded hospitality and food service company based in New York. Lessings operates numerous wedding venues, restaurants, and food service operations in the Northeast, with a primary focus on Long Island. The Pelican Club will be Lessings first foray into the Florida market. The renovation will bring stunning new architecture to the Inlet Village that will provide a fresh upgrade to the Rustic Inn building. The building has been redesigned to better capture panoramic views of the Jupiter Lighthouse and Loxahatchee River from the interior. The renovation also includes a landscaped courtyard that we expect to be one of the most photographed spots in the Inlet Village. The venue is expected to open in March of 2019, and will have approximately 25 full-time and 50 part-time employees. The Pelican Club, along with the adjacent Love Street development, will further enhance the Jupiter Inlet Village's status as one of Palm Beach County's premier dining and entertainment destinations. WLAM - World Landscape Architecture Month Florida April 2018 April is World Landscape Architecture Month! CH staff participated in a variety of celebrations to share the amazing profession of landscape architecture with the community. Check out some of the photos from Arbor Day and ASLA Florida.

On April 14, CH's Sarah Dark [Left] assisted in the planning and planting of 35 trees donated by Greenscape, Inc. and JEA at Tideviews Preserve in Atlantic Beach.

CH Staff attended the Frederick Law Olmsted's Birthday Party at the West Palm Brewery & Wine Vault with ASLA Florida on April 26. CH's Nicole Plunkett was the featured speaker for the Town of Juno Beach Arbor Day Tree Dedication on April 27. This event was in collaboration with the Juno Beach Civic Association and The Garden Club of Juno Beach. The dedicated tree was a Bauhinia tomentosa, Yellow Bell Orchid Tree, donated by Palm Beach State College.

CH's Sarah Dark[Left], member of the City of Atlantic Beach's Environmental Stewardship Committee, assisted in the planning and organization of the City's Arbor Day Celebration held at Atlantic Beach Elementary School on April 27. Mayor Ellen Glasser, City Manager Joe Gerrity, ESC members, and City Staff assisted in the planting of a southern red cedar at the school. Over 600 live oaks and bald cypress trees were distributed to students to take home and plant. Employee Spotlight George Missimer April 2018

George Missimer graduated from Florida State University in Spring 2017 with a Bachelor in Environment and Society and a Minor in Biology. After graduation, George began working at Cotleur & Hearing as a Planning Technician under one of CH's project managers. He assists on a variety of residential and commercial projects in Indian River County, St. Lucie County, Martin County and Palm Beach County. George grew up in Stuart, Florida and is an avid water sportsman. Spending all of his free time learning as much as he could about South Florida through activities such as fishing, spearfishing, sailing, and even teaching others about the environment, George developed a love for the area. The experiences he had growing up in Martin County led him to study the interactions of all forms of life and their surroundings. Naturally this led him to want to help influence the way South Florida develops in the future. Employee Anniversaries April 2018
