HOW TO USE YOUR UNITONE 2000F APARTMENT VIDEO UNIT: 1. RECEIVING CALLS FROM THE CONCIERGE As soon as the Concierge calls, you will hear a chime and see a view of the visitor in the lobby on your monitor. You can either: Press TALK and tell the Concierge you will receive the visitor, or Don't answer and the visitor will be told you're not at home. 1.3 If nobody answers the concierge call, the concierge will be able to leave a message. 1.4 Optionally calls from the concierge to an apartment unit, can be forwarded to residents land line or Smartphone. 2. CALLING THE CONCIERGE Press the CALL button on your keypad. If the Concierge's line is busy, you will receive a busy signal, but he/she will automatically be notified that you called and will call you back. 3. VIEW OF THE VISITOR IN THE LOBBY 3.1 Whenever the Concierge calls you or answers your call, your monitor will display a view of the visitor in the lobby 4. INFORM THE CONCIERGE OF A FIRE, POLICE OR MEDICAL EMERGENCY 4.1 Press the appropriate button depicting FIRE, POLICE, or MEDICAL to send the alarm to the Concierge. The Concierge will immediately receive the information on his/her computer. As soon as he/she acknowledges the alarm, the sound and the yellow light will turn off. 4.3 After receiving the emergency alarm, the concierge will be able to communicate with the apartment in emergency mode. 4.4 Optionally alarms can be sent to residents Smartphone, as a text message or email. 5. TENANT INFORMATION STORED IN COMPUTER You can give important MEDICAL information to the Concierge, where it will be stored in the computer and used in an emergency. You can also provide useful information about frequent visitors, domestic help, your pets, etc. in order to receive better security and services. 6. TAXI REQUEST Press the "TAXI" button and the Concierge will be signaled to get you a cab. 7. MESSAGE SERVICE 7.1 The Concierge can send messages to individual apartments or to a group of apartments. If the green LED indicator next to the Message is blinking, press the Message button to see the first message. Press Message again for additional messages. button 7.2 To cancel or keep messages follow the directions on the screen. 7.3 Optionally text messages to apartment units can forwarded to an email address. 8. INTRUSION ALARM SYSTEM Setting or Changing the Security Code 8.1 Call the Concierge, and ask for the code change authorization. He will send you a short "BEEP" over the receiver. 8.3 Enter your 4-digit code and then press the "ENTER" button. No one (not even the Concierge) will know your code. You can change this code as often as desired following the above procedure. If you enter the wrong code hang up and repeat the procedure. INTRUSION ALARM SYSTEM continued A) Away Mode How to Activate: Make sure the front door is closed. Press "AWAY" button, the red light will illuminate. Leave the apartment within 30 seconds. How to Deactivate: Upon your return, when you open the door, beeps from the unit will remind you to enter your code within 30 seconds. (Press your 4-digit code and the "ENTER" button and the red light will be turned "Off"). If someone breaks into your apartment and does not punch in the code within 30 seconds, a signal will be sent to the Concierge, and your unit will sound an alarm signal. B) Home Mode Press "HOME" button and the red light will illuminate. Should someone break in, the alarm will sound immediately (there is no 30 second delay) and a signal is sent to the Concierge. (To turn off the alarm, press your 4-digit code and the "ENTER" button). C) Duress Emergency Mode If you are ever forced at gun point to enter your apartment, the system allows you to discreetly call for help. When entering your code, add or subtract one digit from the last digit in your code. For example, if your code is 1234, enter 1233 or 1235 and the "ENTER" button. The Concierge will get a duress signal from your apartment, while your unit will remain silent (as if it were deactivated). NOTE: To prevent accidental alarms, you should set a security code, even if you are not planning to use the alarm. This way you can deactivate it (red light "Off") when it is accidentally turned on.
