PROJECT SCOPE OF WORK CITY OF TOWN AND COUNTRY STORMWATER PROGRAM Project Name: 362 Featherstone Dr Project ID Number: 27-3 Problem: Anecdotal evidence suggests a natural spring exists in the backyard of 362 Featherstone Drive. With heavy rains (3-4 times per year) water seeps out of the ground, dispersing along the backyard and eventually entering a creek. The City has installed 2-3 rain boxes in close proximity to the spring seepage in an attempt to store the water underground, with the outfall pipes connecting to the resident s private system. The first box was installed in the Fall of 26 and the later box(es) installed in the Spring of 27. The resident reported that while the rain boxes may give slight relief during smaller storms, minimal improvement is observed during larger events. The surfacing water has contributed to a sump in the yard, approximately 4-feet wide and 2-3 feet deep. The resident reports than sheet flow during a heavy rain event is often 2-inches deep, flowing through a large portion of the backyard. No reports of structural flooding are known. Proposed Solution: Installation of a dry creek bed will allow for the surfacing flow from the spring to have a protected flow path, decreasing the likelihood of surface erosion. Required Easements: 362 Featherstone Drive (Temporary Construction Easement) Commentary: There is an existing area inlet in the yard; MSD does not claim ownership. Project may be eligible for City of Town & Country Storm Water Maintenance Policy. PROJECT SCOPE OF WORK
