Sencorp Inc. introduces a bold step forward in thermoforming technology. The GEN II. Thermoformer includes the following standard features: Sheet Guide: Heated sheet guide. Material Present sensing. New design incorporating Non-Marring materials Oven: 140 Long, 90 Zone, Radiant Quartz Oven 45 zones top and bottom allow more precise oven temperature profiling. Independently Retractable Upper and Lower Panels featuring a new mechanism for smooth positioning. Incorporation of Pointer and Scale positioning indicators. Available with: Thermalert MP50 Process Imager For real-time process temperature imaging, analysis, and control. The MP50 Features: Graphical temperature profiling. View cross-machine profiles, contour graphs, and thermograms in multiple windows. Customizable to meet your process control requirements. Edge-to-edge or sector temperature analysis. Fast scan speed up to 48 lines per second. Real-time color thermal images. Working in conjunction with DataTemp MP supports remote set-up and configuration of the process imager. The intuitive software design makes it easy to select measurement sectors, high and low alarms, imager, field of view, and other measurement parameters. Once the process is running, you can make remote real-time adjustments for precision control. 1
Chain Rail and Drive System: All new chain rail design including: Extruded Aluminum rail with integral water cooling passages. Creates an extremely rigid rail. Double #40 Pin Chain Dual width roller chain provides Enhanced wear characteristics. Extruded manganese silicon alloy chain guides greatly reduce co-efficient of friction, allowing smoother motion and extended roller chain life. Incorporates an automatic chain tensioning device for increased positioning accuracy. All above sheet line componentry is non-painted. Automatic motorized chain rail adjust. Automatic bowed chain rail adjust with digital readout. Upon cycle stop of the machine, the chain rails automatically move inward to avoid pre-stretching of material. Servo Drive assembly at the input end (rear) of the machine. 2
Form Press: Servo Driven top and bottom toggle with counterbalance. 7 Stroke with 9 1/16 top and bottom shut heights. 40 Ton Form Capacity, 4 Post Design Upper Servo Driven Assist Plug. AC Motor automatic top shut height adjustable +/-3.5. New design allows for automatic lock and unlock adjustment from the HMI. Includes digital position readout. Accommodates a maximum 32 wide x 34 long mold size. Moving platens are wide enough to allow the oven to reach the back of the mold on small tools, while not overhanging the platen. Automatic Lubrication system. Tool access for load and unload from the operator side of the machine. Air and water connections are made at the non-operator side of the machine, (no hoses over the sheet). Vacuum Bleed valve. Manual blow out valves (2). Optional: Motorized pressure form regulator. Motorized air eject regulator. Motorized vacuum bleed valve. 3
Trim Press: Servo Driven top and bottom toggle with counterbalance. 7 Stroke with 9 1/16 top and bottom shut heights. 100 Ton Cut on the Toggle Capacity, 4 Post Design (Optional Kiss Cut Model available) AC Motor automatic top shut height adjustable +/-3.5. New design allows for automatic lock and unlock adjustment from the HMI. Includes digital position readout. Accommodates a maximum 32 wide x 34 long trim tool size. Automatic Lubrication. Press is mounted on THK linear bearings. Linear bearings allow for more precise locating and smooth operation. The motorized X adjust designed with the drive motor in the lower fixed platen driving a sprocket against a fixed rack along the base. This design removes any adjusting jack mechanism from the center of the thermoformer base allowing un-obstructed access for maintenance. New Y adjust, rotates the entire trim press. Allowing adjustment of the upper and lower platens together. No Y Plate required. Tool access for load and unload is from the operator side of the machine. Air connections are made at the non-operator side of the machine, (no hoses over the sheet). 4
Robotic Parts Removal: The Sencorp GEN II design incorporates an industry first response to industry wide safety and ergonomic concern throughout the industry, with an automated nickless Cutting trim press / robot combination. Formed parts are removed directly from the trim press, eliminating nicked parts. When the trim cycle is complete, the robot arm enters the press from the operator side of the machine to acquire the thermoformed parts. Once the robot retracts the parts are lowered to an indexing flat belt conveyor. The conveyor is at an ergonomically correct height of 38 from the floor. Operator access to the end of the conveyor for the single or stacked parts. This process eliminates the need for operators to bend over the machine to lift large, heavy stacks of parts. The robot: Comprised of ultra high speed linear motors. Lightweight extruded aluminum with standard vacuum cup end of arm tooling. Single connect technology allows for the end of arm to be replaced in seconds with no disconnection of vacuum. Designed around a cycle speed criteria of 15 20 cycles per minute. 5
Scrap Rewind: The rewind features an all new design which incorporates a CE compliant design. Vacuum: 5 Horse power vacuum pump Controls: The GEN II controls package is designed in partnership with Siemens. Siemens newest and most advanced technologies have been applied to create a seamless fully integrated control package. The HMI consists of the Siemens Simatic Panel PC. The HMI is mounted on a movable slide which travels the length of the machine for viewing of on the fly process parameter adjustments. Also available is the optional Wireless HMI for un-tethered optimal flexibility from anywhere on the machine. The HMI will include intuitive full color control screens. 6
