ACCIDENT-PREVENTION NORMS For the use of the appliance, it is recommended to have read and understood the content of this manual. Machines shall not be used by children. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the machine. This machine is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge. This machine can be used by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the machine in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. The steam must not be directed towards the devices which contain electrical components, such as the interior of the furnace. As for the pressure devices, do not open the orifice of the filling during use. The device must be disconnected from the after use and before performing maintenance on the unit made by the user. Do not use in swimming pools when containing water. Keep far the children from the appliance, in function as well as when it is off Don t use without shoes the appliance for improper uses. Don t carry out any cleaning or maintenance work and never leave the appliance with the power inserted. The plug of the feeding cable must be removed from the socket before the tank is refilled with water. It is absolutely forbidden making the appliance work with the fixed protections and/or movable disconnected or with the safety devices excluded. If the feeding cable of the machine or of the iron are damaged, they must be replaced from the manufacturer or form qualified people. It is absolutely forbidden remove or tamper the safety devices. Each arbitrary modification made to the appliance raise the manufacturer from any responsibility for possible damages. THERMIC RISKS - Don t direct the steam jet on people or animals - Don t insert the fingers in the suction hole - Over heating WARNINGS The manufacturer declines all responsibility for damages deriving from using the appliance if the instructions of this manual are not respected modifications are brought in without previous authorization from the manufacturer repairs are made by unauthorized people original parts of the appliance are replaced with other no-original parts the machine is used differently from how it is recommended In particular, when the machine is used, the following instructions have to be respected: the high pressure steam jet can be dangerous if used in an improper way. Never direct the steam jet towards people. Never direct the steam jet towards yourself or other people for cleaning clothes or shoes. Do not use the appliance near other people, if these do not wear protective clothing. Pay attention not to touch the nozzles, as those become very hot while using steam. Never suck in flammable substances (petrol, solvents, varnish etc.), welding smoke, burning materials : danger of explosion and fire! If the electrical cable is damaged, it has to be replaced immediately by the manufacturer or by an authorized person. If an extension cable is used, plug and socket have to be water tight. In case of leaks of foam or liquids, switch off immediately! Children or not trained persons must not use this appliance. To guarantee the safety of this appliance, only genuine spare parts have to be used. Do not pull at the steam hose, it could get damaged a not adequate extension can be dangerous 6

Vacuum speed Detergent Function on PREPARATION Open the cap and fill the tank with tap water. Connect the plug to a socket on a patchboard provided with a switch with an efficient earth connection. The appliance is provided with a feeding cable according to its electrical input characteristics. Check that the electrical plant is in accordance to the current norms It is recommended that the power supply of this appliance includes a differential switch of 30 ma MACHINE STARTING Switch on the general switch The appliance starts heating up ( about 2 minutes) The steam is ready when the display shows 6 BAR Connect the plug of the steam hose to the single-block socket making sure that it is inserted correctly 8

Push the steam button (8) under the sheath handle and direct the steam jet towards the area which has to be cleaned For vacuum cleaning press the button for suction (9) For detergent function press button (10) (Optional) 8 9 10 FUNCTIONS VACUUM CLEANING LIQUID CLEANING For starting aspiration push the Blue button on the handle, aspiration starts with maximum speed. To change aspiration speed, keep the button pressed for 2 seconds, to switch off just push it once. VACUUMING FUNCTION : For the correct use of the water filter is always necessary to fill the water in the recovery tank up to the level shown on the separator. LIQUID VACUUMING FUNCTION : it is not necessary to fill water in the recovery tank since it will reduce the operating time. To use steam filter in addition to water filter please proceed as per the instruction at page 10 STEAM GENERATOR Select the desire function from the control panel (page 7 and 8). To generate steam it is necessary to wait about 2 minutes till the pressure reach operation pressure. During the heating time the display shows HEAT. The steam output can easily be regulated according to the surface to be cleaned. 9

REFILLING WATER When the water tank is empty, you will hear an acoustic signal and the display shows H2O. Proceed as follow: - Open the cap and fill water in the tank. - Close the cap. - Press the button (8) on the hose (you hear that the pump starts working) - Please wait some seconds and start again the cleaning operations. DETERGENT: (Optional) Do not add any detergents, chemicals, anti-calc solutions or essential oils in the water tank. These materials may cause irreparable damages to the boiler. The manufacturer is not responsible for any damages caused by improper use. On machines equipped with the function detergent, put the dedicated tank, through the metal basket in the two rear protrusions at the sides of the display. (See images). Connect the transparent tube by inserting it into the hole of the protrusion dedicated as in photo. Fill the tank. Now, by pressing the side button (red) on the handle, you can proceed to the detergent together with the steam. At the press of detergent you will notice in the display, CHEM, indicating the delivery in progress. (when turned on, press the button and wait a few seconds for the issue of the detergent) FILTRO VAP To switch the steam filter ON, keep pushed the button 3 on the control panel for 5 seconds (see page 7). To switch the steam filter OFF simply push button 3. 10

MAINTENANCE Always unplug the appliance before cleaning or servicing operations on the machine. For the safety of the operator and to secure always perfect performances, the following controls and servicing is recommended : After each use For proper hygiene, we recommend to empty and to clean the bucket always after use and to suck up 2 glasses of water to clean also the pipes. Dust Bucket cleaning Press the release button and lift the cover in an upright position. If necessary, remove and rinse it with tap water. Remove the dust bucket and empty it into a sink or preferably into a W.C. to prevent clogging. Rinse the bucket back in its housing. Close the cover by pressing the front part slightly till the lock clicks. To clean the flexible hose and the used extension units, suck in a small quantity of clear water. Doing so you keep the conducts clean inside and prevent deposits and bad smells. Unhook the dirt bucket, empty it and rinse it carefully. To exploit the machine performance please pay attention at the following: The Filters shall not be obstructed. The cover washer shall be well positioned in its place. All filters can be cleaned with water. When dry, you can use them again. IMPORTANT:keep the filters always clean. Cover filter: rotate the float, remove the filter and clean it. 11

Upper motor filter: take the filter out of its housing and clean it Outlet filter: remove the rear grid pressing it on the side and clean it. Motor cooling filter: Remove the grid, take out the filter and clean it. Then replace the filter and the grid. Periodically Check regularly that the power cord does not present any signs of wear or ageing. If it is damaged, it is absolutely necessary to replaced it immediately by the same type of power cord, before using the appliance again. CLEANING THE BOILER The cleaning of boiler is advisable at least every 200 working hours. The machine has to be cold and the electrical plug disconnected. With a wrench n 22 open the stopper under the machine and empty completely all remaining water in the boiler. When the boiler is empty, close the stopper carefully but without exceeding. Control visually or with a rod the remaining water quantity in the cold water tank : dose 0.4 lt water and 0.4 litter vinegar (or a recommended descaler) Connect the electrical plug, switch on the main switch. Wait until the pump finishes to fill the boiler and stops. Switch off the machine, disconnect the electrical plug and leave the machine for 8 hours. With the cold machine, open the cap and empty the loose limestone in the solution and rinse the boiler and close the cap CH 22 carefully. Fill the refilling tank with clean water and switch on the machine. For about 10 minutes use steam with care, because it will have a sharp smell because of the remaining vinegar in the boiler and in the conducts. When the operation boiler cleaning is completed, to start the appliance again, follow the instructions explained under Starting. After the cleaning operations of the boiler, when the pump is filling with water, it s recommended to control if the stopper under the machine is leaking 12

MALFUNCTIONING ANOMALY Steam is leaking from the accessories Plug of the steam hose is difficult to insert in the socket of the machine. Boiler needs more time to heat up. Pressure goes down quickly while using steam SOLUTION Due to wear or damage of seals Replace the seals on the coupling paying attention not to cut or to mark them and to place them carefully Do not force to insert it, but put a bit of silicon on the steam coupling in the machine Clean the boiler as explained. Symptom of limestone, clean the boiler as explained. WARRANTY The warranty is recognized in conformity to Dls no. 24 dd 24/02/02 starting from the sales date and within the edges of the state. During the warranty period the free replacing of all the particulars which could have defects will be recognized to final judge of our technical service. The cost of the transport and packing of the parts to be repaired or replaced are to be charged to the buyer. Warranty decays if: the instructions of this manual are not respected modifications are made without the previous authorisation of the manufacturer repairs are made by unauthorised people the original parts are replaced with other parts the appliance is used differently from the present manual The warranty does not cover repairs, replacing and improper use made during the warranty period without our authorisation. Anyway the buyer can never pretend the damage compensation, of any nature. The competent courts in case of dispute is in Vicenza (VI) Italy. 14

WASTE AND RECYCLING Do not discard the components of the appliance in the environment. For their waste, the laws of the country where the appliance is used have to be observed. The appliance is constructed with materials that must not be dispersed in the environment. For their disposal contact recycling centres or the supplier.
