The use of ear protection is advisable when working in close proximity to the Siren due to the high sound level produced by this device. All components are suitable for mounting in dry interior locations only. INTRODUCTION The Portable Alarm is a battery powered multi-functional alarm. The system has 2 operating modes: ALARM and CHIME. The Chime Mode is a low security facility used to notify you when the device is activated by producing a door-chime sound. In alarm mode the device will produce a constant high volume alarm sound. A dual Personal Attack function enables the alarm to be activated at any time in the event of a personal threat or danger, (except in CHIME mode when only the keypad will trigger the Personal Attack Alarm).

Siren Plug (fits over Siren Apperture) INSTALLATION Wall/Door Mounting: The alarm can be mounted on a wall or door using the mounting bracket supplied. The mounting bracket can be mounted in position using the screws or adhesive pads supplied. The alarm then fixes to the mounting bracket using the belt clip. Strap Mounting: Siren Indicator LED Panic Alarm Operating Cord Sensitivity Slide Switch Wall/Door Mounting Bracket The webbing strap can be used to attach the alarm to portable objects, (e.g. bags cases etc) by threading the strap behind and through the slots in the belt clip. This is easier if the belt clip is removed from the alarm. Removing the Belt Clip: The belt clip can be removed by turning the screw slot to a vertical position to release it from the alarm body. Refitting is by the reverse procedure. OPERATION Always ensure that batteries are fitted and in good condition.
