SUBCAST-SW#5 Using the SubCast to connect 2 Subwoofers with stereo inputs to a Surround Sound System equipped with Subwoofer Stereo Outputs. Sub L Sub L: Subwoofer L channel Output To 2 nd transmitter Sub R Sub R: Subwoofer R channel Output To 1 st Transmitter 1 Single to dual RCA cable is provided with each SubCast kit. In this application we are connecting 2 transmitters with left and right channel low frequency information. SubCast Transmitter #1 Set to channel 1 Note: 2 single to dual RCA cables are needed for this connection SubCast Transmitter #2 Set to channel 2 To 2 nd Transmitter = Surround Right channel Each transmitter will link to its corresponding receiver, and each receiver will be connected to its own Subwoofer. Active subwoofers are being used in this example, but if passive subwoofers are used, an amplifier for each one will be required. SubCast Receiver #1 Set to channel 1 SubCast Receiver #2 Set to channel 2 1 Stereo RCA cable is provided with each SubCast kit. Active Subwoofer #1 (With Stereo inputs) Active Subwoofer #2 (With Stereo inputs)
SUBCAST-SW#6 Using the SubCast to connect 2 Subwoofers with stereo inputs to a Surround Sound System equipped with a single Subwoofer Output. To 2 nd transmitter LF LF: Subwoofer Output SubCast Transmitter #1 Set to channel 1 A stereo mini plug to RCA cable is needed to make the connection between the 2 SubCast units SubCast Transmitter #2 Set to channel 2 To 1 st Transmitter 1 RCA single to dual cable is provided with each SubCast kit, as well as 1 mini to RCA. = Surround Right channel In this application we are connecting 2 transmitters in a daisy chain fashion, so that both transmitters get the same audio material at their input connectors. Each transmitter will link to its corresponding receiver, and each receiver will be connected to its own Subwoofer. Active subwoofers are being used in this example, but if passive subwoofers are used, an amplifier for each one will be required. SubCast Receiver #1 Set to channel 1 SubCast Receiver #2 Set to channel 2 Active Subwoofer #1 (With Stereo inputs) Active Subwoofer #2 (With Stereo inputs)
If your Audio equipment doesn t have any line level outputs available, you can still connect it to the SubCast system; simply get a Speaker to line level converter and connect it as shown on the diagram. You can get this small converter/adapter at most home electronics stores or you can get it directly from Soundcast. If a passive subwoofer is used, an amplifier will be required at the receiver end. Receiver 2 Stereo RCA cables are provided with SubCast
