Day 2: FLYING TO BIRJAND Early morning fly to Birjand where the first city in Iran that has the water supply organization is. It is well known for its barberry, saffron, jujube, almond, walnut, kashk (yogurt cooked and strained), dried plums and peaches. Starting city tour of Birjand to visit the highlights including: historical castle and part of old city. The castle is located on a natural hill. The castle is the oldest structure in the city and dates back to Safavids. Shokatieh School is beautiful Qajar style school was once Iran s third modern school after Tehran s Dar Al Fonun and Tabriz s Roshdiyeh. Mohsenzadeh Cistern, Akbarieh Garden and Mansion is a beautiful Iranian style gardens remained from Qajar dynasty and since 2011 is one of the nine Iranian gardens on the UNESCO s World Heritage List. Day 3: DRIVE TO FERDOWS After breakfast drive to Ferdows. En route stop in Efin village and visit beautiful barberry farms. Participate in barberry harvest. Visit Efin historical Masjede Sangi (Mosque). Eat lunch in Qaen and drive to Ferdows. Visit some highlight attractions in this city like Baladeh flume (a world heritage site). Overnight stay at Ferdows hotel. Day 4: DRIVE TO YAZD After having breakfast, we drive to Yazd. But en route we visit two destination: Esfahak and Tabas. The village has unique weather and the villagers are involved in farming, animal husbandry and weaving carpets is our first stop. The next destination before Yazd is Tabas. Golshan Garden (Bagh-e-Golshan) one of the rare Iranian gardens is in Tabas. It is really beautiful and historical that a permanent water stream is passing from it. The garden belongs to Afshariye- Zanyeh dynasty. Plants in different species from various climates and thousands of fruits trees have made the garden unique. After visiting, we drive to Yazd. Day 5: FULL DAY CITY TOUR OF YAZD Today, we explore the Old City of Yazd and the attractions in it. The Jame Mosque with its high portal and lofty minarets is the starting point of our tour. Having seen the mosque, then, we enter the oldest part of city (Fahadan) where in addition to enjoying its amazing texture and atmosphere we will visit shrines of Seyyed Rokneddin and Davazdah Imam and Alexander Prison. We visit Water Museum and Amir Chaqmaq complex, Dowlatabad Garden, world heritage site, and Zoroastrian sites including Yazd Fire Temple is the other places we visit. Day 6: VISITING MEYBOD AND NAIN Isfahan is our next main destination. En route to Isfahan we pass through two desert towns of Meybod and Nain. In Meybod we visit a citadel, a caravanserai, traditional ice storage, a beautiful pigeon house (a sort of dovecote). In Nain, we experience traditional wool-weaving process, a 10th century mosque and the Ethnological Museum of Nain. Then, we keep on driving to Isfaha. Day 7: FULL DAY CITY TOUR OF ISFAHAN An outstanding heritage of Isfahan Armenian community is Vank Cathedral with its beautiful frescos and a treasure of historical objects and religious artifacts in its museum. The next stop is a true time travel! You can behold the evolution of art, architecture and imagination in mosques: Jame Mosque of Isfahan, a world heritage site, dating back to 9th century. In Isfahan, Naqsh-e Jahan Square, awaits us to be visited. Before that we visit Hasht Behesht and Chehel Sotoun Palaces. The Safavid King, Shah Soleyman, built Hasht Behesht for his 8 most favored wives; the Chehel Sotun Palace was a place of reception; Naqsh-e Jahan Square is one of the largest and most attractive squares in the world. The two most awe-inspiring mosques in the Islamic world, Abbasi Mosque and Sheikh Lotfolla Mosque, along with Ali Qapu Palace Pavilion on three sides have given the square its allure. These attractions are connected via a row of two-story traditional shops where we can acquire the best handicrafts in Iran. For the evening, we have historical bridges of Si-o Se Pol and Khaju to visit. Day 8: DRIVE TO TEHRAN At the last day of travel, we drive to Tehran, but, before arriving Tehran we have a destination to see: Kashan is a green ancient town in the middle of desert.
