Trash Removal Systems The trash removal inverts the tray for removal of any debris through a series of conveyors in a Z formation. Stainless steel chutes transfer the debris into the customer's collection bin. An airknife is fitted on the system and designed to blow through the webbing of the basket whilst it is in an inverted position.
Basket Feed Systems The empty basket feed conveyors are designed to deliver the cleaned trays from the wash plant through to the basket loading equipment. The conveyors are fully constructed from stainless steel. Access platforms provide safe access for high level maintenance and hygiene The system is fully automatic and controlled from a Seimens PLC with a HMI for operator information.

Basket Loaders We currently manufacture 4 types of basket loader for different markets: Standard loader pattern former High speed loader pattern former Robotic basket loader Double basket loader
Basket Loaders Loading rate up to 65 loaves/min. Basket can be loaded both ways with no change parts. Basket rotation on infeed and discharge for correct orientation. Pattern is selected through HMI. Pattern editing on screen. Servo control on pusher and retracting conveyor. Integrated with up stream and down stream equipment. Light curtain safety system.
Basket Stackers Newsmith can supply a variety of Basket Stacking Units: In-line units positioned at the discharge of the Basket Loader Centralised units where full baskets are transferred by conveyor to a central location. These systems incorporate a camera recognition system for product identification to ensure that the correct basket are stacked at each stacker. High speed units, operating at 30 baskets per min. this type of unit enable one machine to be used on 3 lines. This is an advantage on production lines where the same product is being bagged from multiple lines.

Dolly Loading and Unloading Newsmith manufacture a full range of equipment for the automatic handling of both single and double dollies including: i. Dolly Destacker designed to dispense stacks of dollies in a bottom out format and transfer them to the basket stacker discharge for automatic dolly loading. ii. Dolly Loaders allows two full stacks of baskets to be transferred from the basket stacker discharge conveyor onto two scissor lifts positioned at stack position on the dolly. Once transferred to the scissor lift tables the scissor lift tables lift to support the stacks of baskets allowing the transfer mechanism to return to the stacker discharge conveyor. The scissor lift tables descend to lower each stack onto the dolly. The full dolly is then ejected into a storage coral.
