In addition, the tungsten inert gas welding coupled with the special postweld processes ensures the welded area has the same level of corrosion resistance and mechanical strength as the parent metal. This ensures the longest possible working life for every cylinder. Internal air gap and floating baffle The internal air gap and floating baffle system allows for a compact selfcontained unit which eliminates the need for an external expansion vessel and allows for a quicker and simplified installation. Expanded water is accommodated within the cylinder using an internal air gap maintained by a patented floating baffle. Every unit is pressure tested in the factory to bar five times the normal operating pressure making Megaflo eco suitable for all domestic and commercial applications. No sacrificial anode is required with Megaflo eco. With inferior grades of stainless steel, glasslined steel and copper, sacrificial anodes are required to achieve a degree of corrosion resistance.
