Touchclave-PL: the revolutionary new range of small capacity porous load sterilizers from LTE Scientific Developed to satisfy a growing demand for smaller capacity, full specification porous load sterilizer, LTE Scientific have introduced a new range called Touchclave-PL, which has a unique combination of features to assist the operator and improve efficiency: touch-screen controls fully programmable and easy to operate sliding door saves space and makes loading and unloading easier steam-jacketed chamber Assists in drying and flashing off residual moisture air detector samples steam throughout cycle and detects presence of air in chamber automatic internal data archiving maintains a complete electronic record of all cycles rectangular chamber for optimizing load quantities vacuum system for improved air removal and effective sterilization. Also speeds up cooling and drying stages Automatic Leak-Rate Test verifies that the chamber is leak-free and therefore unlikely to allow air into the chamber during the cycle Bowie Dick test Cycle verifies the effectiveness of sterilization and drying when carried out with a suitable bowie dick test pack Principal Features of Touchclave-PL Sterilizers Selecting an autoclave is an important long-term investment decision. Choosing the right sterilization system will have a positive impact on performance and efficiency. The Touchclave-PL range is provided with a host of features specifically designed to improve throughput and usability. Standards All pressure vessels comply with the European PED 97/23/EC and are independently tested to PD5500:2000 Cat 3 along with other international standards. Touchclave-PL models comply with the requirements of BS3970, ISO13485 and HTM2010 (option). LTE also supplies sterilizers to meet the requirements of many other standards and guidelines, including EN285, and EN12347. Call our technical team or sales office to discuss your requirements. 1. Chamber. Made from 316L grade stainless steel. Fully compliant with the European pressure equipment directive 97/23/EC. Independently certified to PD5500:2000 Cat. 3. Complete with 10 year/15,000 cycle warranty. The chamber if fully insulated. 2. Steam Jacket. The steam jacket keeps the chamber hot in between cycles, and assists during the drying stage by flashing-off residual water in or around the load. 3. Air Detector. This is a standard feature for this application. The air detector samples the steam at all times during the cycle ensuring that any air leaks or non-condensable gases carried over with the steam supply are immediately detected. 4. Door and Door Seal. All models incorporate a fully interlocked vertical easy-glide sliding door. A floating door gasket is employed which ensures a perfect door seal. This seal is automatically retracted from the door at the end of each cycle, thus reducing wear. 5. Steam Generating Methods. Out-of-chamber steam source is provided either by an integral steam generator positioned beneath the chamber, or by the customer s own direct steam supply. 6. Control System. Touch Screen multi-program system. 7. Data Archiving. Up to 5000 cycles on an internal flash card. 8. Printers (optional). Various data printers and recorders are available. 9. Modem Link (optional). This is a useful feature which allows real time information to be viewed by our technical and service team, thus minimizing potential down time.
11. Controlled by Pressure. Controlling by pressure ensures excellent accuracy (typically +/-0.5 C) and almost undetectable overshoot. 12. Pneumatic Solenoids and Valves. Performance and reliability are the main advantages for using these types of solenoids and valves. A silent 6-bar compressor with receiver is included as standard 13. Safety locks. The door is prevented from opening unless the safe load temperature has been reached and the pressure has dropped to atmospheric. 14. Water Conservation. The water tank re-circulates the vacuum pump cooling water until it reaches a pre-set temperature, at which point it is then drained and replaced. This feature significantly reduces water usage during the cycle. 15. Exhaust Condensate Unit. A re-circulating exhaust condensate unit is fitted, enabling discharge water temperatures to be kept below 70 C to avoid damage to plastic pipes and the environment. This feature also serves to protect the vacuum pump from live steam. 16. High Performance Vacuum System. This system incorporates a high-efficiency liquid ring pump, providing a pre and post sterilization vacuum for improved air removal, effective drying and faster cycles. Touchclave Touch Screen Systems at the Heart of Every Touchclave-PL Sterilizer Touchclave-PL sterilizers are equipped with a control system which incorporates a powerful PLC combined with an easy to use touch-screen through which all commands, cycle data, program data and alarms are inputted and displayed. This versatile system gives users a choice of selecting from a menu of load-specific cycles or developing their own cycle profile. 8 cycles can be stored into the memory as standard. Load Specific Cycles - Load-specific cycles are selected by pressing the appropriate on-screen cycle title icon and then following the on-screen instructions. The cycles are pre-programmed to optimize air removal and drying profiles for each load type. Parameters within each cycle template can of course be changed by authorized personnel with the necessary access level to suit individual applications. Cycle titles can also be changed. Once the programs are stored in the memory, starting the cycle could not be easier. A cycle menu is brought up on screen, allowing the required cycle to be selected. For those who need their cycles to be traceable, there is a facility to input operator ID and Batch information at this stage. There is also a facility to program a delayed cycle start, which is particularly useful for maximising the use of the sterilizer. Every stage of the cycle carries a different information screen. A fully integrated thermal paper printer, tractor printer or chart recorder is available as an option if, in addition to the electronic data archiving, a hard copy printout is required of relevant cycle information. On completing a successful cycle, the screen will show the Passed display. If a fault occurs during the cycle, Failed will be displayed on the screen, with details of the fault conditions highlighted on a separate screen which can be accessed by the operator but only acknowledged by those with a supervisor access code. All fault conditions will also be printed where applicable. Touchclave Touch Screen Systems incorporate a self-diagnostic system which will highlight any abnormality in the cycle. As an option, a modem can be fitted to the control system which will allow our technical team to view real-time cycle data from a remote location, enabling us in many cases to advise quickly on operational issues, thus minimising possible down-time.
Data Archiving All Touchclave-PL models are equipped with automatic electronic data archiving. The long-term storage of thermionic records for sterilisation operations is an area of growing concern to both operators and administrators. Therefore all Touchclave Touch Screen Systems include an internal data storage facility which allows up to 5000 cycles to be stored on a single flash-card. As an option, a remote cycle data archiving facility can be added so that all cycle data, including any fault or alarm conditions, can be downloaded to a PC and permanently recorded. Main features of Touchclave data archiving: As Standard Cycle data and status are stored within the PLC Controller. Dependent on the configuration, up to 5000 cycles may be recorded here. The internal storage medium is easily replaced either periodically or when full. The recorded cycle data and status include checksum data to facilitate data validation. A new cycle cannot be started until the data from the previous cycle have been recorded. As an Option Cycle data may be downloaded to a remote personal computer, translated and formatted into HTML files, and either printed or permanently archived. During each transfer, the integral Touchclave checksum is verified, ensuring that the original data has not been corrupted or modified. The transfer of data stored with the Touchclave System is automatically started whenever the associated PC application is launched. The PC does not need to be on-line during autoclaving. Once the cycle data is stored on the PC, it may be browsed by date and summary information may be displayed. The data can also be used by management to review autoclave workload and working practice.
Touchclave-PL Sterilizers K150, K200 and K300 Models These products are designed to operate using either an integral steam generator situated beneath the chamber or the customer s own direct steam supply. To facilitate easy manoeuvrability and site positioning, all models are fitted with castors and will fit through a standard door. However we can offer one or a combination of the following options for those who also want a hard copy printout after each cycle: Thermal Printout This printer uses thermal paper which has a 15 year shelf life. Tractor Printer The advantage of this printer is that it can be placed remote to the sterilizer. Chart Recorders Various types of chart recorders, including the latest paperless models can be fitted to all Touchclave-Lab autoclaves. Modem Adding this option provides the facility to connect your autoclave directly into our technical office, which allows us to interrogate the system and view real time cycle data, enabling us to advise on operational issues without visiting site and to minimise on possible down-time. Volt-Free Contacts This option allows alarm and condition signals from the autoclave to be transmitted to remote monitoring stations, auto-diallers or building management systems.
