TECHNOLOGY Additionally to top processing, quality materials used during the production and demanding inspection during the process, the unique system of heating units represents one of our main advantages as regards water heaters CERAMIC HEATING UNIT Electric unit is not submersible but ceramic, dry, inserted in the steel well. Since the water heater vessel and the well are made from one material type (steel), galvanic cell and electro-chemical reaction do not occur. Other producers usually use submersible units made from other types of material (copper, stainless steel), therefore the electro-chemical reaction occurs. The system of ceramic units is especially resistant to hard and aggressive water and significantly extends the vessel service life under all conditions. ENAMEL STEEL VESSEL Steel heater vessel from especially strong sheet metal resistant to pressure surges. It is equipped with quality nickel-free enamel which in combination with the magnesium anode guarantees long service life of water heaters DZ Dražice. Cleaning openings enable access to the vessel internal part for removing sediments and limescale and saves costs for the operation. MAGNESIUM ANODE Magnesium anode as additional protection against corrosion also extends the service life of the vessel and high utility value received with the purchase of DZ Dražice water heaters. POLYURETHANE INSULATION Quality polyurethane insulation with minimum 42 mm thickness provides low heat loss and operating costs.

HOW MANY LITRES OF WATER FOR YOU USE A DAY? This is a rough manual for help with calculation. Consider that the lower specified values apply for hot water consumption with temperature 40 C. Norma three to four minute shower: 40 litres Bath of standard size: 140 litres Hand washing: 15 litres Another calculation method is to consider total daily consumption of water in the household. It depends on the size of household and common consumption complies with the data below: Family comprising of two adults and one child: 200 400 litres of hot water Family comprising of two adults and two children: 250 500 litres of hot water 3. WHAT TYPE OF WATER IS IN YOUR AREA? Most DZ Dražice water heaters are made from enamel steel. Water quality is not an issue because most of our products use dry ceramic unit in the well, which provides minimum growth of calcic sediments during heating. This unique solution has 2.5 higher delivery surface in comparison with the submersible unit. 4. WHAT IS YOUR TYPE OF HEATING SYSTEM? Thermoregulation box KR Indirect water heaters are equipped with wells for sensor location from the external source (boiler for solid fuels, solar control unit, heat pump, etc.). Installations where control unit cannot be controlled from external source enable the use of thermoregulation box KR which controls external source or switching elements (e.g. three way valve). The switching temperature within the range 5 75 C. For the installation of the regulator sensors the heater vessel contains wells with internal thread M12 x 1,5. COMPANY HISTORY The origin of the future cooperative society dates to 1900, when widow Marie Kyselová invested a mill house in the society property. It formed a limited liability company Corn storage, artistic cylinder mill and bakery" in Dražice nad Jizerou. Between 1910 and 1917 the new management with Václav Čančík as the leader upon the recommendation from a professor at Prague technology institute Ing. Karel Novák started focusing on a very perspective production and distribution of electricity. In 1910 the hydro-electric power plant was constructed with two turbines with output 300 HP. In 1917, 69 villages with 8111 consumers were connected to the power plant in Dražice. The company reached its peak in the second half of the twenties. It employed 220 employees and owned 8 water power plants on Jizera River, steam power plant, 2 mill houses and distribution netowork with connected 383 villages with 24 080 users. The turnover in 1930 was considerable three quarters of Milliard Czechoslovakian Koruna. In 1948, after enforced selling of the distribution network and subsequent nationalization of a significant society part, the company changed its focus on the products and services for people focusing on household and sporting utilities, and 8 years the production program included custom made water heaters managed by former trader Mr Křovák. In the end of the eighties Družstevní kombinát Dražice produced around 13 000 of combined heaters annually. After new political situation in 1989, the society is divided to independent business companies. One of the company is a private Družstevní závody Dražice - strojírna, s.r.o.,which took over the water heater production. Between 1992 and 2003, sharp developemnt occured. The product range was extended, technology modernozed, and production contuinually increased. Basic modernization took place in 1997 by constructing a new enamel line The company became the largest seller of water heaters at home and in 1994 started exporting. The company exports to 16 European countries. In 2003, the company made 95 thousand heaters. In 2004, new hall was constructed as the preparation for constructing an enamel furnace. This furnace was constructed in Summer 2005, and enabled the company to increase the enamel shop capacity and improve the enamel procedure. In 2005, the product range was extended with accumulation tanks and in the end of the year, new types of angular water heaters OKHE were prepared. This year, the company produced 115 000 water heaters and employed 210 employees. In 2006, 100 % share of DZ Dražice - strojírna, s.r.o. was transferred to Swedish company NIBE Industrier AB, which became the sole owner of DZ Dražice. During 2007, the extension to two assembly lines took place and the capacity increased to 150 000 pcs annually. DZ Dražice started offering heat pumps NIBE, solar sets and flow and stainless heaters NIBE. Recently, the company started focusing on further product range extension. In 2011, the new products included water heaters with heat pump, hybrid water heater connectable to photovoltaic panels, outdoor accumulation tank, and introduced a heater with intelligent control and many function OKHE SMART.

PRODUCT RANGE OF DZ DRAŽICE INCLUDES WATER HEATERS, ACCUMULATIONS TANKS, AND HEAT PUMPS Accumulation tanks serve accumulation of excessive heat from its source. The source may be a solid fuel boiler, heat pump, solar collectors, fireplace inserts, etc. Some types of tanks allow combination of connecting even multiple sources. Heat pump ground-water, water-water These heat pumps receive the heat from the ground top surface, rock bed or ground water represent a great method for heating family houses, apartment houses, and other larger buildings. They are supplied with integrated reservoir for water heating or without it. Heat pumps air-water These pumps receive heat from the surrounding air. Unlike the simpler pump types air-air, these are connected nected to the building heating system and can heat the house and hot water. Ventilation heat pumps Ideal for heating households and heating hot water. The ventilation heat pump provides the building ventilation, receives energy from warm waste air, and uses it for heating and warm water heating.
