Operation As a supplement to the control panel s integrated siren, the external alarm siren alerts the neighborhood in the event of intrusion or fire detection. The intruder flees minimizing the risk of property being stolen or damage being done. Its integral strobe enables rapid location of the alarm s source. This alarm siren is only compatible with TwinPass control panels. Features TwinPass radio transmission Learning of the personalized radio code 0dB output choices of siren modulation: Shrill modulation for internal use Deeper modulation for outdoor use Selectable alarm duration: 0 sec, 0 sec or 90 sec. Selectable strobe duration: 0 sec, 0 sec, 90 sec or min. Duration of siren and strobe in the event of fire detection: min. Selectable audio feedback as confirmation of arming & disarming Siren and strobe triggering: Immediate, hours for panic, fire or tamper activation Immediate or delayed by 0 sec in the event of intrusion (bell delay to avoid disturbing the neighborhood if the user forgets to disarm the system) Triggering in the event of break-in: Single: a single detection event Confirmed: detectors activated in less than 0 sec (movement of the intruder around the house) Tamper function: hour monitoring against lid removal. Installation You now need to proceed to the installation of the siren. We advise you to follow the stages described in this chapter. If the siren does not perform as expected please re-start the installation procedure as necessary. Necessary materials crosshead and a flat screwdriver. drill with mm Ø masonry bit. The fixing accessories supplied. Opening Remove the securing screw from the base (see view of the bottom of the siren). Unlock the battery cover in the base of the siren. Open the battery cover. Guarantee label Remove the detachable half of the guarantee label and affix it to the guarantee extension request form supplied with the control panel s documentation. In the event of this being an addition to a system: Affix the Label to the guarantee extension request supplied with the product and send it to the address indicated on documents supplied. If you have already learning the personal radio with the remote control, it isn t necessary to restart the learning with the keypad During test mode, the tamper function of the siren is disabled to avoid any unexpected operation of the siren during its installation. Take one of the systems remote controls or gain access to the systems keypad. Briefly press (less than sec) the sirens learning button. The siren confirms by emitting a short sound and goes into learning mode for 0 sec. Hold the Off button of the remote control or send consecutive Off commands from the keypad. NB: if any Off command is sent or if the learning is not correct, the siren indicates the error by short beeps. In this case it is necessary to restart the process from the beginning.

Mounting Use the wall bracket as a template to determine the fixing points (see Fig. ). NB: Leave a 0 cm gap under the siren to facilitate future lid removal. Remove the detachable washer and to insert it into the position marked A. Fix the wall bracket using the fixing accessories supplied. Mount the siren on its bracket. Lock the lid screw into place (see Fig. ). Send an On command from a remote control (or keypad): the siren confirms with a warble sound followed by the audible signal report (if configured to do so): the test mode is automatically exited, the tamper function now becomes active. T esting Arm the control panel. Wait for the end of the exit delay ( min 0 sec). Go into an area protected by a movement detector or open a protected exit: the control panel then activates the siren immediately or with a delay of 0 sec (according to configuration). Verify the siren and strobe duration matches your selection. NB: it is advisable to make regular tests of the system. Checking and replacing the battery The alarm siren constantly checks the state of its battery. It indicates when the battery is low with an audible bip, bip, bip, bip each time the system is armed or disarmed. The central unit indicates failures by means of a spoken message: Beep, worn siren battery. or succesives beeps withflashing light. Before changing the siren s battery, put the central unit in test mode. Replace the battery as follows: Take a remote control and a crosshead screwdriver to the sirens location Unscrew the locking screw while pressing the On button of the remote control Remove the siren from it s wall bracket Open the battery cover Disconnect the battery and wait min before connecting the new battery. Connect the new battery and close the battery cover Refit the siren to it s bracket Make a real alarm test. The siren is now operational. NB: all the settings previously made are remembered.
