Installation Guide Main tips: Always pump first the vertical gap and later the horizontal Connected sanitary appliances do not need a trap Installing a nonreturn valve is a must. Lateral inlets must come from a 1-2% sloped pipe
Installation Guide Main tips: When a shower tray or a bathtub is installed minimum height must be respected, otherwise waste water may appear onto the shower enclosure. Ensure that lateral inlets equipped with the non-return valve are correctly assembled (NRV flap opens towards the unit).
Installation Guide Main tips: Ensure when installing the outlet pipe that no glue falls inside the NRV, this could cause malfunction as it may not operate (open and/or close) properly. When assembling a toilet ensure the pan connector correctly fits into the toilet spigot and the macerator unit without leakage. Ensure once the toilet is installed that the unit stands perfectly onto the floor and does not hang from the outlet.
Installation Guide Main tips: Always ensure there is a minimum gap of 22 cm in the installation above the unit to allow access for maintenance. Ensure the macerator is not concealed behind a wall or at a different level from the wc which might prevent its easier access.
Installation Guide Main tips: Prevent the installation of 90º elbows on the outlet running pipe, use 45º instead. Install a vac-valve if the unit pumps water to a collector pipe below ground level. Washing machines, dish washer machines or other units equipped with pump must not be connected unless specified to a macerator. (Except CICLON LS, where its use is allowed) Pipe must only run vertical (straight) or horizontal (with a 1-2% slope).

Maintenance Guide Fast access to all the electrical & mechanical parts which might require servicing. Avoid disassembling all the pipe connections and the toilet screws to the floor which are normally corroded. Easy access from the left side of a toilet. One screw away from accessing to the motor, capacitor, pressure switch, triac and wiring parts.
Maintenance Guide Required tools Screw driver Hand made tool (to position the pressure switch pipe). Hand made pliers (to help securing the security ring to the pressure switch). Protection gloves Procedure Always ensure the unit is disconnected from the power supply and close the water supply prior to any operation. To prevent any damage always extract the cassette unit from its enclosure before operating any component (motor, pressure switch, capacitor). Gloves are recommended when operating into the wet part to prevent accidental cuttings with the product sharp blades.

Troubleshooting
Maintenance Guide User has to identify the product as a CICLON Might happen in 1% of calls that product is not Ciclon product. Product serial number has to be sent to us & proof of purchase. Dux Ciclon Service Agent is asked to attend the repair. Repair report has to be sent by the Service agent to Dux NZ. For customer service follow-up. Dux offers a 2 year warranty for all its sanitary macerators & lifting stations. This warranty includes all manufacturing product failures, covering the cost of spare parts, labor costs and transport, but does not include any costs when failures are caused by installation or user.
Maintenance Guide Typical product failures: Improper use. Toilet used to evacuate elements which block the motor. Inadequate installation. Product installed not according to installation manual or using it for un-approved applications. Product failure. Electrical or mechanical failure.
Maintenance Guide How-to Macerator will not start Macerator works, does not discharge or discharges slowly. Macerator does not stop. Electrical supply Thermotrip motor protection Outlet pipe or unit blocked. Outlet pipe too high or too long. The outlet pipework is restricted The internal pressure switch has failed. Check wiring / switches / Fuse / Circuit breaker Wait 20 min (aprox). If you hear a buzz without further movement pump might be blocked. Cassette disassembly required for servicing. Maintenance Guide Replacing the vertical NRV It s advisable to pump clean water into the pipe before replacing or checking the non-return valve. Remove fixation clip. Remove 1 1/4 nut. Non-return valve joint. A recipient to collect all the water coming from the vertical pipe should be prepared.
