The best solution for heating your home Vinslöv. A bungalow with Vedolux 40 UB and three Aqualux accumulator tanks. When the accumulators are heated up they retain heat for a long time and wood burning becomes convenient and environment friendly. Killeberg. This pair changed their old multipurpose boiler for economical pellet heating with a Comet boiler and a Viking Bio pellet burner. Österslöv. This family chose electric boiler Elomin III instead of a geothermal heat pump. The low investment cost meant that they could also buy additional insulation and a new bathroom with a Jacuzzi.

Värmebaronen manufactures and sells boilers for bungalows, pellet burners, oil burners, electric immersion heaters, electric cassettes, plus electric boilers for industry and real estate. Its head office and modern production facilities are located in Österlöv just outside Kristianstad in the northeast of Skåne province. Pellet burning simple, cheap and environment friendly Good quality pellets consist of wood which has been tightly compressed, nothing else. Waste sawdust from sawmills is compressed into small pellets which becomes an easily manageable fuel with a high energy content. While a tree grows it takes up carbon dioxide. When it dies it then releases the carbon dioxide back into the atmosphere. This is a process that has gone on for thousands of years without any effect on the environment. When pellets are burned the same thing happens. The carbon dioxide stored in the wood is released back into the atmosphere. Therefore, using pellets as a combustible fuel does not have a negative influence on the environment. Clean smoke Burning pellets in densely populated areas is not a problem. A correctly adjusted unit produces clean smoke gases and does not cause any discomfort to neighbours. Economical After firewood, pellets are the next cheapest type of energy on the market. In most cases, energy costs become cheaper than heating a home with a heater pump. If the total cost for a pellet burning system is compared with that of a geothermal heat pump the price for the pellet system is less than half. Why doesn t everybody burn pellets? Using pellets as a combustible fuel requires a little bit of work. Pellets, like all solid fuels, produce a certain amount of ash and soot while burning. The soot causes the smoke gas temperature to climb and the system should be cleaned when it raises approximately 50 ºC compared to a newly cleaned system. This applies to all pellet burning systems; even if some manufacturers claim that their burners work like oil burners and do not need to be cleaned. It is important to have an easily cleaned system Värmebaronen s systems are cleaned in just ten minutes, thanks to the boiler s hinged door and easily accessible flues. The cleaning intervals vary, from once a month to once a week during the coldest weeks of the year. Comet with Pellet Store 100 4

Pellet boilers All our pellet boilers are easily maintained With a boiler and burner from Värmebaronen you get a system that is easily maintained. And that s a good thing because then the maintenance gets done. All boilers, regardless of make, must be kept clean. Just a millimetre of soot reduces the system s efficiency. On all of Värmebaronen s boilers the heat-absorbing surfaces of the boiler tubes are vary easy to get at. With the help of the accompanying brush the tubes are cleaned in just 30 seconds. Unbeatable! The soot falls down into the boiler s combustion chamber and can be swept up or vacuumed with the ash. Simple! Check how the pellet boiler is cleaned! When you choose a boiler for burning pellets check carefully how cleaning is done. Even if pellets are cheap source of energy there is no point in letting all the heat disappear up the chimney. A clean boiler means you get to keep money for something else. The burner can be swung in all directions. Simple cleaning from the front. Technical data, dimensions and scope of delivery can be found at the end of the catalogue. 5

Economy Normally, Viking Bio starts with a low output. If the burner notices that this is not enough (very cold outside) it automatically changes to a higher output. The Viking burner feeds in small amounts of pellets often instead of larger amounts less frequently. This gives a more even flame which, in turn, gives higher efficiency. Good pellet quality is a prerequisite. Viking BIO has been tested by the Swedish National Testing and Research Institute (SP) and has been shown to be highly efficient. Comfort In the case of a high hot water requirement, such as when the whole family takes a shower during a short period of time, the burner automatically senses the increase in consumption and starts to heat the water before the boiler demands more heat (accessory). This is important if you have a heat exchanger. Viking BIO has an outlet for an external audible or light signal. Good to have if, for example, you have forgotten to fill up with pellets. Viking BIO gives off a low level of noise and is easy to clean. 6 Environment Viking BIO has been tested by the Swedish National Test and Research Institute (SP) with good results. Safety When starting up the burner checks that the boiler and chimney are safe to burn in. If, for example, these are blocked with soot the burner does not start. Information about the cause of any problem can be easily read on the boiler s panel. It is easy to correct the problem. The burner s unique ignition process eliminates the risk of smoke gases collecting and then igniting with explosive force (a common problem with pellet burners). The burner ventilates both itself and the boiler when starting up. Then it starts slowly and carefully. The flame slowly builds up to the desired effect. The burner continually senses if the temperature in the pellets fall pipe or ambient temperature is too high. The back pressure in the burn chamber is checked. The flame is monitored by a photo-electric cell. Should the burner not start for some reason it automatically blows out all the smoke gases out of the boiler before stopping. Safety has been tested by SP. Of course, Viking Bio is marked with SP s P-mark (meets legal and authority requirements). Reliability The only part that moves in the burner is the fan. All parts that become hot are manufactured using stainless steel of the highest quality. Viking Bio has a highly reliable electric starter. The start element is monitored so it does not overheat. Therefore, it is unusual that the start element ever needs changing, a problem that occurs on many pellet burners. Easy maintenance The burner is secured with easily accessible quick-release fasteners. Electrical connections and the pellets feeder pipe also have quick-release fasteners. You can easily release the burner from the boiler in approximately 10 seconds. The burner is light and easy to carry. Adaptable Viking Bio has a front burning flame just like an oil burner. Therefore, the burner suits most boilers, even in smaller modern oil boilers such as CTC 1100/1200, Nibe City and more. A conversion kit for CTC boilers can be ordered from Värmebaronen; the combination has been tested and approved by the Swedish National Test and Research Institute with good efficiency and approved environmental results.

Environment friendly, economical and safe pellet burning Viking Bio pellet burner is designed to burn stably, economically and safely. Where other burners have problems with puffs and blow-backs Viking Bio burns steadily. By monitoring the boiler and chimney before start, during operation and after the burn phase, the burner makes sure it always burns in a safe environment. The burner s panel indicates problems such as chimneys blocked with soot and problems with supply air BEFORE an incident takes place. Do not take risks - check carefully which pellet burner gives you the best security. Safety and high efficiency were of the utmost importance to the designers during the whole of Viking Bio s development phase. Per-Åke Lindstrand Product Manager, Development Department Burner head with a turbulent flame Electrical connections with quick-connectors A GOOD TIP! Temperature monitored feeder pipe. Quick-release fasteners. Quick-connector for the pellet feeder Low weight makes the burner easy to handle An informative panel Modulated operation Buy your burner and installation from a knowledgeable heating installation specialist. In that way you get the best economy and your Viking Bio will last longer. An incorrectly installed burner will turn your boiler sooty, burn more fuel and cost money. In addition, the life length of the burner s vital components will reduce considerably. A readjustment of a correctly installed installation is included after about a week. Pellet boilers Make sure it is installed correctly and you will get a problem-free burner that burns as economically as possible. Look upon adjustment as an investment. Quick-release fasteners make the burner easy to keep clean. Technical data, dimensions and scope of delivery can be found at the end of the catalogue. 7

Burners are accessories Comet Pellet/electric boilers with unique functions Comet is a highly efficient pellets fired boiler and a modern electric boiler at the same time. Well thought out functions reduce running costs by up to 1000 SEK per year compared to other new boilers on the market. The boiler takes care of itself. Even if the outside temperature changes rapidly the boiler automatically ensures that you get an even indoor temperature. The boiler stops producing heat in the summer but starts all vital functions daily. That means that nothing seizes up and everything functions when the autumn comes. When burning pellets soot can occur and this must be removed. This is an easy job thanks to the burner door being equipped with a snap latch. The boiler is cleaned from the front where everything is easily accessible. The boiler can also be fired with oil. Climate controlled heat gives the best economy and the best comfort. The boiler is always used as efficiently as 8 possible and the correct amount of heat is released into your home. You save money! During the spring and autumn, when nights can be frosty and daytime temperatures are up to 15 C, this is of extra importance. Functions when burning pellets The boiler ensures the burner runs for long periods. It then burns economically. The efficiency increases when the number of stops and starts is minimised. Functions when running on electricity Not only is Comet an efficient pellets fired boiler, it is also a complete electric boiler. Comet has a 13.1 kw output in 7 stages. The load guard disconnects part of the output when you use a lot of power (oven, washing machine and more). You can then manage with a main fuse with a lower rating, which costs less. A time tariff control is included. Plenty of hot water The copper hot water heater supplies up to 300 litres of water at 45 C. Sufficient for nearly all massage bathtubs. Safety system ensures continued operation. Should anything happen to the boiler s electronic controls the Comet has, as an extra function, a backup in the form of a built-in mechanical thermostat. No other boiler can match the Comet boiler. The Comet has a set of unique functions that together help you save money. Climate control, control of the pellet burner and the efficient integrated electric boiler save money and provide the best comfort. No wonder the Comet boiler is a big seller!

Pellet boilers Burners are accessories Joker Star Pellet/Electric boilers Joker and Star are efficient, easily managed multipurpose boilers for firing with pellets or electricity. Joker and Star are controlled by mechanical thermostats that use the pellet burner or electrical heater, depending on the selected mode. On the panel you can see which energy type is being used. Joker and Star have been developed to meet high reliability requirements. The boilers can also be fired with oil. Pellets mode Firing with solid fuel produces ash which must be removed if good fuel economy is to be maintained. These boilers are easy to manage thanks to a burner door with snap latches and quick-release connectors for electricity and pellets. Electric mode Electrical heating has two output steps. The boilers load guard disconnects part of the output when you use a lot of power (e.g. oven, washing machine) You can then manage with a main fuse with a lower rating, which costs less. When using electricity, you can see the size of the electric output being used. Hot water with a heater Joker The copper hot water heater supplies up to 300 litres of water at 45 C. Boilers with water heaters like Comet and Joker are relatively insensitive to lime in the water and can quickly provide large amounts of hot water. Hot water with a heat exchanger Star The heat exchanger produces hot water according to need. The water is heated as it passes through the exchanger on its way to the tap. Lime in the water? Choose a hot water heater! Lime deposits in the exchanger reduce both its heat transfer properties and its hot water capacity. Check your water or have it tested if you are unsure. Easy installation Thanks to their compact size Comet, Joker and Star are simple to install in your boiler room. Star is only 120 cm tall and all connections are easy to get at. A damper increases the efficiency To prevent unnecessary ventilation and cooling of the boiler when the burner is not operational there is an air damper fitted in the flue pipe. Technical data, dimensions and scope of delivery can be found at the end of the catalogue. catalogue. 9

On all wood-fired burners in our range the heatabsorbing pipes are cleaned through the one and the same door. There are no inaccessible doors on the top or sides of the boiler. You stand comfortably and have full control over what you are doing. Save time, wear and tear on your body and money by choosing an easily managed installation An easily cleaned firewood burner saves a lot of time and work. All of Värmebaronen s firewood boilers are tested and have been shown to have high efficiency but the most important thing is that the boiler is easily cleaned. Otherwise, soot and deposits can cause heat to leak out of the chimney instead of staying in the boiler where it comes to good use. Regular cleaning takes just a few minutes, so you can do it as often as you want. As a result you consume less wood and spend less time in the woodshed! Always check how cleaning is carried out when you choose a wood fired boiler! An easily cleaned boiler will save your back and knees, give good fuel economy and save a lot of time and effort in the boiler room. Remember that you are going to be friends with your boiler for a long time. What seems easy now can become an unpleasant task when you get older. A wood-fired boiler should be cleaned from the front, not from above or from the side where it is cramped and difficult to get in. Then there is a big risk that the cleaning never gets done. Did you know that it takes just around one minute to light the boiler? With the accompanying LPG lighter the boiler is quickly lit and, therefore, environment friendly. As the boiler becomes fully operational in such a short time the amount of smoke produced is minimal. Good for the environment and you remain friends with the neighbours! After cleaning with the accompanying brush you rake out the ash and soot into the ash pan which sits in the stand (accessory). There, the hot ash is safely stored until it is time to empty the ash pan. With the accompanying LPG lighter you light the burner in around one minute. Quick and environment friendly. 10

Wood Wood-fired boilers for natural ventilation Combimax & Vedolux Combimax 30 UB, Vedolux 40 UB and 50 UB the natural choice for all true wood burners! Combimax and Vedolux are ceramic wood-fired boilers with reversed combustion, designed for those that want to burn wood. The combustion chamber depth in Combimax is 40 cm deep. In Vedolux the depth is a full 57 cm, leaving a good margin to get in half metre firewood. Pellet burners or oil burners can also be fitted on the boilers. All wood-fired boilers are tested and environmentally approved. Comfort, safety and the environment The boilers are designed to be fired with full output without producing smoke gas temperatures that are too high. The boilers then produce more heat than the house needs and, therefore, require accumulator tanks. That means you can limit the number of times you fire-up and get and get an even temperature in your home 24 hours a day. The boilers do not have a built in water heater; that is placed in the accumulator tank. (UB = Without hot water heater) Convenient and simple All cleaning and soot removal is done through the one and the same door. To bring Combimax 30 UB and Vedolux 40 UB up to a comfortable work height a stand is available (accessory) Vedolux 50 UB is mounted on a stand at the factory. The built-in ash pan makes it easy to rake out ash and store it safely. Natural ventilation If you have a good chimney that draws well (see technical data) a boiler with natural ventilation is an excellent choice. However, if your chimney does not meet these boilers requirements you should choose Vedolux 30/37 boilers with fans instead. Solid doors that keep sealed The boilers have solid, face-ground doors with All cleaning is done through the same door. solid handles. They remain leak-proof the full life length of the boiler. There are no seals that can break, no wing nuts that can get lost. Technical data, dimensions and scope of delivery can be found at the end of the catalogue. 11

Firewood boilers with a fan Vedolux 30 Vedolux 37 Two firewood boilers for half meter firewood with a suction fan. An alternative to our tried and tested natural ventilation boilers. The boilers, like all other firewood boilers from Värmebaronen, are designed to make wood firing simple and uncomplicated by making them easy to clean and keep free from soot. This means you save wood and spend less time swinging an axe. The difference between boilers with fans and boilers with natural ventilation. Vedolux 30/37 works through reverse combustion with the help of a suction fan. Therefore, they can be connected to a chimney that does not meet requirements for natural ventilation. This is good if you have a low and narrow chimney. The fan stops automatically when the fire has died which reduces unnecessary heat extraction. Convenient and economical heat with an accumulator tank. Vedolux 30/37 should be fired together with accumulator tanks. Most suitably, the boiler should have one or more accumulator tanks supplemented with automatic filling and a hot water heater. In this way you get a high degree of efficiency. The accumulators hold heat for a long time and wood-firing becomes simple and convenient (you do not have to put wood into the boiler so often). The volume of the accumulators should be dimensioned to suit the size of the house. Your installation contractor will help you calculate what your home requires. Vedolux 37 Vedolux 30

Cooling coil Wood Easy control panel With the help of the brush you can clean the boiler from one and the same direction. Good for your back and knees! Doors that do not warp or bend. They remain leak-proof the full life length of the boiler. Solid handles. You pull ash and soot into the ash pan with the ash rake. Flue pipe included in delivery. Suction fan Long, curved pipes without difficult corners make the boiler easy to clean. Spacious combustion chamber, takes 50 cm long firewood. Stand with a practical ash pan where ash and soot can be stored. Simple and convenient! (accessory) Quick ignition with the accompanying LPG lighter. Dissected picture of Vedolux 37. Vedolux 30 has the same functions but the doors are of a different design. Vedolux 30/37 in general Vedolux 30/37 are wood-fired boilers with suction fans, mainly intended for wood-firing but also equally good for pellets and oil. The combustion chambers are designed for reverse combustion with ceramic grates. Combustion chamber depth is 550 mm and swallows, with ease, wood in 500 mm lengths. If used correctly the boilers give a high degree of efficiency and release only small amounts of substances hazardous to the environment. These boilers have been tested and environmentally approved. Easy to clean = saves time and wood All flues are cleaned through the one and the same door at the front of the boiler. Therefore, it is easy to clean regularly. As the flues are rounded you don t miss corners that are hard to get at. Otherwise, soot and deposits can cause heat to leak out of the chimney instead of staying where it comes to good use. The fan on the back side. Technical data, dimensions and scope of delivery can be found at the end of the catalogue. 13

Double boiler Biomax The burner is not included. New Biomax uses tested double boiler technology but is also suited to modern biofuels and high requirements on comfort. A modern classic that stems from our popular workhorse Triomax. Biomax gives you the freedom to choose fuel based on what you yourself find easiest and most economical. The boiler can be fired just as wall on pellets or wood. Separate boilers make it easy to choose the type of fuel. Not only that, it also works as an electric boiler with an output of 9 kw, sufficient for most bungalows. If desired, it is easy to convert the boiler for oil-firing. Combination burning has its advantages For example, you can burn wood during the autumn and use pellets during the winter. In the summer you use pellets or electricity to heat your water. You choose what suits you best. When you don t want to burn wood, pellets is still an economical option. As backup you have the boiler s electric mode that takes over automatically if e.g. you run out of pellets. Safe and secure. Simple firewood burning The firewood combustion chamber is 40 cm deep and is designed for reverse combustion with ceramic grates and an afterburner. The boiler is lit using the accompanying LPG lighter in around one minute. All cleaning is done through the one and the same door on the front of the boiler. It could not be easier. Convenient pellet burning The Viking Bio pellet burner can remain fitted to the boiler. The boiler door has a snap latch and can be opened so far that the burners hangs by the side of the boiler. A pull out ash pan in the bottom of the combustion chamber eases removal of ash from the boiler. Environmentally approved The boiler has been tested by the Swedish National Testing and Research Institute and meets all limit values with good margin. If you use firewood you need an accumulator tank, if you just burn pellets you can manage without one. The burner door and pull out ash pan make soot removal and cleaning easy. 14

A damper in the flue pipe reduces heat loss when the burner is not working. A smoke gas thermometer shows when it is time to remove soot. Wood Pellets Control panel, easy to read and understand Electric mode 9 kw. The boiler is cleaned through the one and the same door. Good for your back and knees! The practical burner door is easily opened. The burner hangs on the door and can be easily turned to the side. Built-in copper lined hot water heater 100 litres Long, curved pipes without difficult corners make the boiler easy to clean. Cast doors that do not warp or bend. They remain leak-proof the full life length of the boiler. Solid handles. Ash pan for the pellet burner. Ceramic hearth and afterburner. BIOMAX is equipped with two hearths. One is intended for wood burning and in the other a pellet or oil burner is fitted. In addition, BIOMAX has a built-in electric heater giving 9 kw. BIOMAX is prepared for the Viking Bio pellet burner from Värmebaronen. There is plenty of room for ash on the hearth and cleaning away soot is simple. The burner can remain on the boiler thanks to the hinged burner door. The boiler also has an ash pan which simplifies handling. An easily maintained boiler is economical Biomax is very easy to clean regularly. Therefore, the job is not avoided. You get good fuel economy, saving time and money. Remember that you are going to be friends with your boiler for a long time; what seems easy now can become an unpleasant task when you get older Therefore, check carefully how maintenance is carried out before choosing boiler. Firewood burning requires an accumulator tank Biomax works with reverse combustion through natural ventilation when you burn firewood. Like all modern wood-fired boilers BIOMAX is equipped with ceramic grates. When burning firewood the boiler should be provided with one or more accumulator tanks supplemented with automatic filling (if you burn pellets no accumulators are needed). Environmental requirements are met and firewood burning becomes convenient. Discharges from the chimney are almost negligible and consist mainly of just water vapour and carbon dioxide. The boiler has been tested by the Swedish National Testing and Research Institute and shown to have good environmental values. Burner door The boiler is delivered with a burner door designed for Värmebaronen s Viking Bio pellet burner. For other makes of burners a pellet door kit can be ordered (accessory). It fits most burners on the market. If you would like to use an oil burner in the boiler you can supplement with a conversion kit for oil mode (accessory). Technical data, dimensions and scope of delivery can be found at the end of the catalogue. 15

Combimax CU Vedolux CU Firewood/pellet burner with built-in hot water heater Combimax CU and Vedolux CU are ceramic boilers with reversed combustion, designed for those who want to burn pellets yet still have the possibility to burn firewood. If you already have an accumulator tank without a hot water heater already built-in then the CU variants of Combimax and Vedolux are a good choice. It is easy to connect a pellet burner; Viking Bio is fitted to the door where you put the firewood in, easy to open when cleaning. The boilers are designed to be wood-fired with full output without producing smoke gas temperatures that are too high. They produce more heat than your home needs and, therefore, should be used together with an accumulator tank. This means you can limit the number of light-ups to 1-2 times per day. Besides sparing the environment it is easier to manage and you get better comfort. If you burn pellets an accumulator tank is not needed. These boilers have been tested and environmentally approved. Combimax CU The boiler has a copper lined hot water heater of 100 litres and electric immersion heaters. An output up to 13 kw in seven steps is gradually connected according to need. It is also equipped with a load guard. This means you can get by with a lower rated main fuse. Combimax CU can be automatically controlled by a time tariff. The depth of the hearth is 40 cm. Vedolux CU Vedolux CU has two contacts so it can be supplemented with electric immersion heaters, plus a 130 litre copper lined hot water heater. The hearth depth is 57 cm, perfect for half meter firewood. Viking Bio pellet burner complete with extension (spacer). Here it is fitted to the door where you put in the wood on a Combimax CU. A well dimensioned hearth means plenty of space for the ash and the burner sits at an easily accessible and comfortable work height. 16

Elomax Double sheathed electric boiler Prepared for connection to a heater pump or solar panel? What is a double sheathed electric boiler? ELOMAX s sheath encloses the water and hot water boiler which together are used for storing heat from e.g. a heat pump or solar panel.!heat pump ELOMAX controls the heat pump so it can be used to the maximum yet sparingly. The heat pump is stopped and started less often which gives it a longer life length.!solar panel ELOMAX ensures that the solar panel is used to the maximum during the spring, summer and autumn. Even sunny winter days add favourably to hot water and indoor heating. ELOMAX Do you feel that you need to do something about your heating costs but want to wait with a big investment? ELOMAX is a well dimensioned electric boiler that can be completed at any time with the heat pump and/or solar panel of your choice. Boiler installation is simple and you get a heating system at a low price that lasts well into the future. ELOMAX takes care of itself and ensures that you always have an even, comfortable indoor temperature. The boiler is a safe foundation in your heating system and means that you can add to or change it whenever you want. ELOMAX is economical and gives good comfort. Simple and cheap to install, it takes care of itself and controls other units that are connected for best economy. Regardless of whether you want to use the boiler on its own or together with a heat pump/solar panel you make a good choice for the future. 18

Electric heating General about the Elomax boiler s control system ELOMAX s control system uses a number of sensors to calculate your homes current output requirement. The results from the sensors determine what the boiler thinks is going to happen over a certain period of time. One could say that ELOMAX reads temperature trends to control your homes heating as economically as possible. This also means that other connected units are run efficiently and sparingly, most important when determining how a heater pump should work. ELOMAX is protected against bacteria (legionella) in accordance with standards set up by the Swedish National Board of Housing. Heat pump When a heat pump is connected to the ELOMAX boiler s automatic heating system it will be controlled by the current outdoor temperature and the temperature in the heating installation. ELOMAX will let the heat pump run as much as possible (except when a solar panel is connected). Sometimes you can notice how ELOMAX s trend control works e.g. when the temperature has fallen and the heat pump should really start. Instead of starting the heat pump is allowed to remain switched off a while as ELOMAX calculates that your home s hot water requirements can still be met with good measure. In this way the heat pump benefits from long running times and is spared as the number of starts/stops is reduced. Solar panel Solar panels are used during the summer months to heat water, and in the autumn and spring they also help to heat your home (solar panels can also have produce an output on sunny winter days). Solar panels are always given priority. When the output from the solar panels is not enough the heat pump starts as a support. As a last resort, ELOMAX starts its built-in electric boiler to cover energy requirements. ELOMAX is a good alternative for those thinking of selling their bungalow in a few year s time and do not want to make large investments in the bungalow s heating system. ELOMAX works as a foundation in the heating system and contributes, through its versatility, added value to the bungalow when it is time to sell. Technical data, dimensions and scope of delivery can be found at the end of the catalogue. 19

Elomin III Electric boiler Elomin III CU Elomin III is a modern and compact electric boiler. Worry free, with simple maintenance and a high level of heating comfort. It is cheap to invest in, which together with its low installation costs makes it a good alternative to e.g. a heat pump. If you are thinking of buying a heat pump do some careful calculations first! If you have a smaller bungalow it will take many years before you have saved what you spent on the expensive installation of the geothermal heat pump. That is what many bungalow owners have discovered when it has already been too late. Elomin III s low price and simple and cheap installation means that you can buy extra insulation and get a woodstove - and still at a cheaper price than if you had chosen a geothermal heat pump. You reduce your heating costs considerably and increase the cosiness and value of your house. No drilling or digging up the whole garden. Something to think about. Reliable Elomin III has, like all other boilers from Värmebaronen, got good results in insurance companies research on faults and shortcomings 20 in bungalow boilers and heat pumps. The Elomin boiler has been developed over many years and has sold in thousands. That is one guarantee for a safe investment. Climate controlled heat gives the best economy and the highest comfort The boiler is always used as efficiently as possible and the correct amount of heat is always released into your home. You save money! During the spring and autumn, when nights can be frosty and daytime temperatures are up to 15 C, this is of extra importance. Load guard The load guard works in seven stages and protects the house s main fuse. This function limits the boiler s output gradually when e.g. the washing machine, tumble dryer or oven are in use at the same time as the boiler. You can then manage with a main fuse with a lower rating, which costs less. It takes care of itself When heating is not needed the heater part switches off automatically and only the hot water heater keeps going. The circulation pump starts at regular intervals so it does not seize up for when the autumn comes. Because of the boiler s automatic control it only needs adjusting on installation. Then it takes care of itself. Heat s where it s needed Adjustable maximum and minimum temperatures for the radiators means that rooms or the cellar can be heated, even if the rest of the house does not require heating e.g. during the summer. A unique function that should really be obvious; nonetheless, a function that only Elomin III has had for along time. With or without a hot water heater Elomin III can be delivered in two different designs. It comes either as CU 200, complete with a 200 litre hot water heater, or in the UB design, without, which suits all of the market s modular water heaters with dimensions 600 x 600 mm. Easily serviced The door is opened from the front, giving good accessibility when servicing.

Most Värmebaronen products leave the factory complete, with all equipment fitted. There are two reasons why we do this: Security. The boiler will be trouble-free if it is equipped in this way. There will be no additional costs. Elomin III UB When you choose Elomin III you get a complete electric boiler with all the equipment you need. The CU 200 model with hot water cylinder also comes complete, of course. If you choose a different make, you will need an automatic safety device between the boiler and the cylinder. This adds to the cost of the installation. Also includes outdoor temperature and current transformers. Subject to possible modifications The hot water cylinder in the Elomin III CU 200 is heated with external heating panels. The panels are not affected by limescale and other deposits, unlike a normal immersion heater. This beneficial way of heating water puts the Elomin III in the lead. Technical data, dimensions and scope of delivery can be found at the end of the catalogue. 21

Water-borne heating for small and large areas Underfloor heating/radiators in: the garage your second home your extension, and so on More and more people are discovering the possibilities of ThermoFlow NG and VE 4 mini electric boilers. Our VE 4 and Thermo Flow NG boilers are used in many fields of application. Since the VE 4 was launched, it has become very popular. Many people use it for underfloor heating in extensions and conservatories; for others it has provide a simple way of heating the second home or a separate garage. The VE 4 is also used for workshops and in holiday villages and on campsites. These boilers have countless applications. Separate systems an advantage For underfloor heating is it an advantage to have separate systems for heating and hot water. The temperature of the hot water does not depend on the temperature of the water in the underfloor heating system (normally 25-40 ºC). Simple installation The photo above shows the VE 4 installed as a heating source in a built-on conservatory. The boiler is well concealed in a cupboard and heats the underfloor heating pipes in the conservatory floor. No need to disturb existing systems The first approach that comes to mind when planning an extension is to connect the heating to the existing systems of the house. In many cases it is cheaper and simpler to install a mini-boiler. A mini-boiler is the obvious choice for heating a separate garage or summerhouse, but it s a good option for an extension to the house as well. Outside view 22

Electric heating VE 4 (open) Thermo Flow NG Thermo Flow NG VE 4 Versatile, wall-mounted electric boilers that can tackle most heating tasks. Thermo Flow NG can be used for all kinds of heating, whilst the smaller VE 4 is often used for small areas and extensions. These boilers do not have built-in hot water cylinders or hot water heat exchangers. Compact dimensions The boilers are small and therefore easy to position. Although they are small they can heat a larger area than you might imagine. Complete The boilers come complete. Simple connected water and electricity and the installation is ready to use. Thermo Flow NG Wall-mounted electric boiler rated at 11 kw. Just like the Elomin III, the boiler is climatecontrolled. This means that the outdoor Technical data, dimensions and scope of delivery can be found at the end of the catalogue. temperature controls how much heat the boiler produces. When no heating is needed, the boiler is turned off automatically. The circulation pump is run at regular intervals during the summer months so that it starts easily when autumn comes. The Thermo Flow NG has frost protection. A room thermostat is available as an accessory. A pressure-controlled bypass valve extends the life of the boiler and ensures reliable operation. Load sensor The seven-stage load sensor protects the main fuses of the house. The function temporarily limits the output of the boiler when an appliance such as a washing machine, dishwasher or cooker is operating at the same time as the boiler. VE 4 The output of the boiler (4.5 kw) corresponds roughly to the heating demand for a living area of 80-100 m², depending on insulation and ventilation. The boiler is controlled by a built-in thermostat. Accessories for VE 4 UTK 2000 makes sure that the outdoor temperature controls the boiler. This function is built into the Thermo Flow NG. A room thermostat is available as an accessory. 23

3 1 2 5 4 Immersion heaters Economical and reliable suitable for most boilers and accumulators. If you heat with wood, having an immersion heater is a convenient backup heat source. When the fire is out and you don t have the time or the energy to light it, the immersion heater can automatically take over the task of heating. The immersion heater is also useful if there are problems with the burner or if you have run out of oil or pellets. Power demand If you plan to meet your entire heating demand with immersion heaters, their output should be between 6 and 12 kw. Allow 70 W/m 2 with a ceiling height of 2.5 metres. If you just want to heat hot water during the summer months, 1.5 to 6 kw will be enough. VB 1510 - VB 6010 (L)* These immersion heaters are suitable if you don t need an output of more than 6 kw or if you want to add an F model immersion heater to get higher output. VB 3020 - VB 6020 VB 3020 - VB 6020 has two power steps and no main switch. Apart from this it is the same as VB 1510 - VB 6010. VB 6002 - VB 9002 The advantage of VB 6002-VB 9002 is that it loads the phases equally, in two steps. VB 9002 is for industrial use only (no delay). VB 6003 F - VB 9003 F (L)* The F-models are fitted with a delay on all or half their output. The can also be fitted with a load sensor, VBB 12 TX, or with an outdoor temperature compensator UTK 2000. * Tanks with long immersion heater bosses require special immersion heaters. These have an L after the product name. Available in models VB 6010 L and 9003 FL. 1. Internally ready-wired simplifies installation and reduces cost. 2. Electrical automatic control easily accessible. 3. Electrical coils of SIS 14 2348 stainless steel or copper can handle most water qualities. If the tank is made of a material that contains copper, you should order a copper immersion heater instead. The same applies if the water is brackish or has a high chloride content. 4. Sensible accessories, such as a load sensor to protect the main fuses. 5. Automatic control, standard: Single- or multi-stage thermostat. Overheat protection (manual reset). Operation indication. Built-in main switch (not VB 3020-VB 6020). Compact, so easy to position 24

K-060 K-060 is an insulated container for immersion heaters. Any immersion heater with an R50 connection and a insertion length up to 420 mm can be installed in the container. This means immersion heaters rated from 1.5 kw to 9 kw. The container is also available in stainless steel, K-060 R. Used to supplement an existing boiler or hot water cylinder. EK 15 E 15 kw divided into seven steps, controlled by an electronic thermostat. Can easily be climatecontrolled with UTK-E. Can also be controlled by a heat pump or by another 0-10 V external signal. EK 15 E has a seven-step load sensor. Electric boilers 26 kw - 1.5 MW There is a wide range of electric boilers for power outputs above 15 kw. These are also described in a separate catalogue which can be ordered from Värmebaronen. 1. Electrical automatic controls easily accessible under the cover. 2. Standard automatic control: thermostat, overheat protection, operation indication, built-in switch and delay. 3. Ready-wired for simplified installation and reduced cost. 4. Värmebaronen means quality Swedish insurer Folksam s reports on heating boilers and heat pumps which break down often and far too soon are presented at regular intervals. Happily, there is no cause for concern if you are the owner of a boiler from Värmebaronen. Our electric and wood-burning boilers don t even figure in the statistics. Other boilers have also performed very well. Obviously nothing lasts for ever. But if you choose a heat source from Värmebaronen you get quality product which lives up to its promises! MADE IN SWEDEN Our head office and modern production facility are located in Österslöv just outside Kristianstad in north-eastern Skåne. RETAILER VB Inhouse Reklam 070308.
