Making Waves! Our 10-Year Event 2012 WAFSCM 10th Annual Conference October 10-12, 2012 Sheraton Madison Hotel Madison, Wisconsin

General Information Fall conference registration includes 2013 membership in WAFSCM, attendance at all plenary and concurrent sessions, entry to exhibits, Thursday breakfast and lunch, and all refreshment breaks. Register by October 2, 2012 and receive the following rates: Member ($90), Non-Member ($110), Public Employees, Retired, and Unemployed ($55), or Student ($20). There are minor additional fees for the Wednesday night reception ($15) and Friday morning field tour ($20). The field tour will view the Madison Arboretum, Lake Wingra, and the Wingra Creek restoration. We would like to acknowledge SEWRPC and the MMSD for their ongoing support of the 2012 WAFSCM Conference. Conference registration does not include access to the workshops on Wednesday. Please note that registrants are on their own for breakfast and lunch that day. The CFM Refresher ($35), CPSWQ Training ($115), and Aquatic Organism Passage Design Workshop ($45) require additional fees to cover printing costs. Attendees registering after October 2 will be charged late fees as listed on the website. The conference is a great way to earn Professional Development Hour (PDH) credits. A PDH form will be available at the conference to assist with your record keeping needs. However, consult your professional association for specific rules and requirements. Registration on-site the day of conference will be by cash or check only (no credit card payments). The Wisconsin Chapter of NASECA and WAFSCM have come together to co-sponsor the Certified Professional in Storm Water Quality (CPSWQ) training and exam. CPSWQ, Inc. has developed standards and procedures for certifying persons who are qualified to practice in the field of stormwater quality and seeks to promote the common business interests of persons who are so certified. CPSWQ s are being recognized throughout the United States and Canada as individuals who have demonstrated the minimum proficiencies needed to design and evaluate construction and postconstruction stormwater management practices.

Lodging at The Sheraton HOtel A block of rooms has been reserved for WAFSCM at the Sheraton Madison Hotel at 706 John Nolen Drive, Madison, WI. Rooms are available at the special rate of: 15 rooms have been reserved at the state employee rate of $70/night, use Code WSJØ9A. $129/night room block available under Wisconsin Association for Floodplain, Stormwater, and Coastal Managers, or Code - WAJØ9A. The cut-off date for making reservations at the special rate (provided rooms are still available within the block) is Sunday, September 9, 2012. For reservations, contact the Sheraton Madison Hotel at (608) 251-2300. Be sure to mention you are with WAFSCM and give them the appropriate code when you call to receive the special rate. Please note: Check-in time is 3 pm; Check-out is noon. All policies related to your hotel reservation should be discussed directly with the Sheraton Madison Hotel.
