Most helpful customer reviews 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Make Healthcare a nice place spend time. By William Fisher An absolutely excellent photographic promotion of the way people should expect to be treated when they do not feel too wonderful themselves. Jain has shown how healthcare can make a difference in healing when the environment contributes to the patient's comfort. The shame is that architects and administrators apparently have not learned a thing in the 20 years since the book was published. I have worked within a 350 bed hospital at least that long and wish I could say that her vision of a healing and comforting space was common. Just the simple observation that patients spend most of their time on their back so the ceiling should have something attractive to view justified the cost. If you have any influence on the design of any healthcare facility do us all a favor and find a copy of this book and look at the pictures. Please...
