SUN COLLECTORS water warming in swimming pools and sometimes as a support of heating in lowenergetic houses with lowtemperature heating system (floor, wall and ceiling heating), eventually for industrial purposes. Collectors are flat and tubular, according the type of absorber. Flat collectors with flat absorber, protected by a special toughened glass in tightly isolated frame. Special antifreeze mixture flows in copper tubular register under absorber and works as a heat carrier. The ATTACK flat collectors are ideal solution of D.H.W. preparation and seasonal warming of swimming pools. There is a very good relation between price and output of these collectors. Vacuum collectors with double-wall glass vacuum tubes and copper pipes with heat transmitting liquid. Selective absorbing layer is created on the internal side of pipe. In order to use the radiance maximally, there is parabolic reflection glass placed behind the vacuum pipe. Vacuum ensures perfect high temperature isolating protection in copper tubes. Efficiency of these collectors is higher in transient and winter period. They can be used for D.H.W. preparation and also as a support of heating. Solar collector is a device, where the sun s energy is transformed into the thermal energy. Sun s radiance falls on the absorber of collector, connected with the tubular distribution of collector s heat transmitting liquid. Heat transfer is ensured by the heat transmitting liquid, which flows between collector and heat exchanger placed in the tank water heater. ADVANTAGES OF USAGE OF THE SUN COLLECTORS y After the first investment there is sun energy practically for free y Option to save 60 70 % of costs for D.H.W. preparation y Solar energy is not influenced by supply and requirements for fuels thereby it is not related to the increasing prices of oil, wood, etc. y There is immediate saving of money, remaining for many years in future y Solar energy is clear, renewable and sustainable and it helps to protect the nature y Solar energy does not contribute to the global warming, acid rains and smog y Solar energy actively helps to eliminate harmful greenhouse gases y Solar systems practically do not require any maintenance and they work for decades of years y The ATTACK solar collectors can be installed on all types of roof y Option of horizontal or vertical installation of collectors PROJECTION AND INSTALLATION OF THE SOLAR COLLECTORS By installation, it is necessary to consider the place for solar collectors (roof of the house or free area for collectors standing on a suitable place), with respect to the planned distributions. It is important to consider the natural or impound area (e.g. trees or row house), eventually the shadowed place. Flat collectors are more suitable in case of requirement for the D.H.W. preparation and seasonal warming of swimming pool. Vacuum collectors are suitable, if there is an option of additional heating necessary, because of their higher output in transient and winter period. By the optimal tilt angle of 40 50 is the whole year usage balanced (as a support of D.H.W. preparation). The tilt angle of 25 30 is suitable for summer usage (as a support of D.H.W. preparation and swimming pool warming). y Determination of usage of the solar energy is important for orientation of collector. Deviation from the South decreases amount of energy, but it is not significant by 30 angle. Orientation to the East / West may decrease utilization for 30 %. If it is possible to choose between two options, it is better to select orientation to the West. y According to the way of usage, it is necessary to select type of collector. The vacuum type is suitable for the whole-year operation, the flat one is intended for the seasonal (summer) usage. y By system projection it is important to consider sufficient volume of tank to achieve safe operation and reliable function.
