Glass Wool Production Line Glass wool is a kind of insulation materials which is made of natural ores, such as quartzite, dolomite, feldspar, limestone and so on. With the features of low density, convenient and easy installation, non-toxic, incombustible, fireproofing, non-decay, quakeproof, corrosion-resistant and good flexibility, the glass wool has comprehensive advantages among insulation materials. It has found a wide utilization in the fields of national defense, petroleum, chemical industry, electricity, shipping, architecture, metallurgy and transportation and so on. The raw materials added with auxiliary agents such as calcined soda and borax are melted into glass fluid in the tank furnace. The lava is drawn, blown or thrown into very thin fibers under centrifugal force of the spinner. The forming fiber will be collected to be original felt by wool collecting machine. The original felt is sent into the curing oven to be solidified and shaped by the conveyor. After curing, the products will go through the cooling section. It will be cut by slitting cutter and cross cutter according to the setting length. Finally, it will become the final products such as board, blanket. I. Main Equipment

II. Brief Introduction of the Main Equipment 1. Melting System The main equipment includes batch mixer, melting furnace, feeder, furnace platform, firebox, etc. Batch mixer equipment includes crusher, mixer and weighing apparatus. Melting furnace is built with refractory materials, and it uses natural gas as fuel. Feeder is the machine that feeds mixed batch into furnace in circle-arc diagonal blanket feeding manner. Furnace platform is the foundation platform for supporting melting furnace and centrifuge or other machines to meet installation and operation requirements for equipment on the platform. 2. Fiber Forming System Main equipment of the fiber forming system includes centrifuge, air/natural gas premixing system, compressed air system and cooling water system, etc. Centrifuge is the equipment that produces glass wool fiber from vitreous fluid. It consists of centrifuge, ring-form firebox, compressed air blowing/stretching machines and fiber distributor. Air/natural gas premixing system is the equipment that mixes the two kinds of gases as per the required proportion, and then the mixture is fed into the centrifuge. Compressed air system can provide high-pressure air for fiber forming to make fiber quality up to the expected requirements. Cooling water system can ensure normal operation of centrifuge under high-temperature condition. 3. Glass Wool Collector Glass wool collector is the equipment that collects fibers into crude felt. It includes collecting device, binder applying device, distributor, induced draft system, driving system, side wall device and cleaning system, etc. Fibers are collected into crude felt, which is then sent to curing oven via the transition conveyor. 4. Curing Oven Curing oven is the drying equipment that processes by heating and shapes glass wool layers containing binder as per the densities, thicknesses and widths required for products. In the process, glass wool layers containing binder are sent into curing oven, and conveyed by chain board for heated processing and shaping, to make binder and fibers polymerize into one, producing glass wool blanket and board products in certain shapes. Curing oven consists of furnace body, conveyor, pressing mechanism, hot blast system and driving mechanism. In the above, the hot blast system consists of many heating zones, and each heating zone has a heating furnace, which uses natural gas as fuel. 5. Conveying and Cutting Machines Conveying machine plays the role that conveys the shaped products to cutting machine to be cut. The cutting machine s function includes two parts: horizontal cutting and vertical cutting. 6. Blanket / Felt-rolling Machine It could roll the blanket into rolls according to the production requirement. III. Centrifugal Glass Wool Production Process Mixed materials are melted into vitreous fluid in the tank furnace. There is a single-hole platinum leak board installed at forming part of the furnace, and well-melted vitreous fluid flows out from the leak board and forms a vitreous fluid stream, which will fall vertically into a centrifuge the principal part of fiber forming equipment. The centrifuge rotates in high speed, and by making use of centrifugal force, it forces vitreous fluid to be thrown through pores on its surrounding wall to form primary fibers, which, still in high-temperature soft state, are immediately effected by air current jetted from ring-form combustion nozzles arranged concentrically with the centrifuge, and then further split and stretched into secondary fibers with average diameter 5 ~ 7μm, namely, glass wool. Glass wool blanket and glass wool board are main products in which glass fibers are used as substrate material. While forming, glass wool fibers are covered with sprayed phenolic resin binder, and they fall downward to the conveyor of collector. Adjusting negative pressure of air draft at lower part of mesh belt can make the glass wool fibers uniformly spread into a batting layer on the mesh belt. Batting enters into curing oven to go through drying, curing and shaping, and is cut vertically or horizontally as per required sizes into glass wool blanket or board. V. Technical Parameter
