Exercise POSTER 1 Analysis Analyse your specific neighbourhood according to urban heat islands: Where do you find them? What characterises the local context (built environment, societal dimension, and environmental aspects)? How is the surrounding affected by heat islands? POSTER 2 Concept Show up your ideas for dealing with heat islands in your neighbourhood. What could be done for preventing the consequences? Think of measures changing the built environment as well as planning process designs as part of an actor-centred approach.
Exercise POSTER 3 Details Give a closer view through one or more details of your case study. Either you can focus on a building, place, street or other detail and present a good idea for dealing with heat islands in detail. Or you make concrete propositions about the planning process, the stakeholders and their possible roles in steering and managing the planning processes etc.. PRESENTATION Present your results by using the posters on Friday morning. You will have 10 minutes time and should be able to answer questions from the auditorium.
