Hydro bow screens Hydro bow screens are used for the treatment of process water. Bow screens are particularly suitable for complex and complicated separation processes such as waste oil prior to burning, as fine filter in wastewater purification prior to biological treatment, and in industrial wastewater treatment plants. Industrial enterprises such as the food and beverage industry benefit from our products, since the process water circulates in a sealed system and can be reused several times. Bow screens separate all fibres and lint in textile finishing plants, laundries and cotton bleacheries. The feed suspension is accelerated and fed crosswise to slot direction and tangentially to curved screen plate. The acceleration creates centrifugal forces which move the heavy solid particles away from the bow screen. This way the water can be discharged through the screen plate, separating the solids. Our bow screens are robust, lowmaintenance, self-cleaning and made entirely of stainless steel. The specially developed high-performance screen plates used by us allow a space-saving construction of the device. Hydro bow screens replace complex and expensive screening machines and systems, e.g. in the areas: Filtration, separation, purification, raking, thickening, recovery, classification, drainage. Depending on type of device, capacities up to 250 m3/h are possible. Solids (pollutants) of up to 90 μm can easily be separated. This grade of filtration ensures that the filtered process water can even be fed to heat exchangers for energy recovery without any problems. Thanks to the possibility of also achieving optimal performance in gravity flow, they offer the best conditions for efficient use in the area of pretreatment, as well as in various production processes. 3

Screen plates Many years of tests resulted in the development of screen plates that are particularly well suited for application in our products. They are reflected in all our products in form of welded wedge wire screens. The hydraulic performance of the screen plates depends on the slot distance and the quality of the feed suspension. The crucial difference here is viscosity and temperature of the pumped medium, as well as shape, volume and consistency of the solid particles contained therein. As with all static filters, the separation size depends on the filter cleaning. The size of the flow-through opening is increased by the triangular profile shape; this prevents twisting and creates a selfcleaning effect. Our separation systems can separate particles that are significantly smaller than the slot distance. This is due to the special inclined position of the profiles and the optimal screen plate radius tried and tested in numerous trials. The screen plate consists of stainless steel grade 1.4435, which not only ensures an excellent wear protection, but also acid and alkali resistance. The special high-performance screen plates can be retrofitted with slot distances of: 0.2 / 0.3 / 0.5 / 1.0 / 1.25 / 1.5 / 2.0 / 3.0 mm. If these slot distances do not produce the desired cleaning effect, customised solutions are available. The bow screen housing and the corresponding screen plate are calculated, designed and produced by our staff according to our clients needs. We attach great importance to ensuring that every special requirement is included in the planning process. 4

Open bow screens The BS type of our bow screens is one of the most frequently used housing models. The inlet and outlet can be placed at any position on the housing; thanks to the different combination possibilities of the connection types, this design allows a variety of applications. In contrast to the BS type, the BSL type is longer. This is particularly important in case of confined spaces to ensure a uniform filter area. Our housings of the BSX type are made of high-grade plastic. This is a very lightweight design, characterised by a low overall height. Thus, they are suitable for crate washing machines and applications with limited set-up space. If required, all bow screen types can be made of PE-HWU. This material is characterised by excellent heat resistance up to 80 C. In addition, it is resistant to acids and bases, which makes it particularly suitable for application in the chemical and petrochemical industry. The hydro bow screens are available in the following standard widths: 500-750-1000-1250-1500-1750-2000 mm. However, special designs can be realised in any shape and size. Covered bow screens The BSA type is completely covered. It is equipped with a movable cover in the screen plate area. The cover is hinged at the housing and easy to operate via the lever and the lockable pneumatic springs. It serves mainly as splash protection and aesthetics of the bow screen; it can also be equipped with an inspection glass. In addition, the integrated, removable solids container offers the possibility of postdewatering of the screening material. The screen plate as well as the solids container are integrated in the housing and covered. Same as in case of open bow screens, our BSAZ type offers a space-saving alternative that combines a large filter area and low space requirement with the benefits of a covered curved screen. The bow screens made of plastic can also be equipped with a cover and removable solid container. Due to the low material-specific weight of PE-HWU, the BSAK type is supplied without pneumatic springs. The cover is removable and can be made entirely of transparent plastic. The hydro bow screens are available in the following standard widths: 500-750-1000-1250-1500-1750-2000 mm. However, special designs can be realised in any shape and size. Special designs In special cases we also equip our hydro bow screens with a specifically developed screen plate cleaning. The nozzle arm with flat jet nozzles located above the screen plate ensures a trouble-free and unattended operation. An automatic control allows random setting of cleaning cycles and cleaning duration, depending on quality of suspension to be cleaned. On our vibrating bow screens the solids movement is supported by a dynamic guide plate. Due to the vibration, the risk of clogging in case of very small slot distances of the screen plates is avoided. This means separation of more, as well as smaller, solids. They are also ideal as preliminary stage for membrane cleaning in terms of reliability and prolonged service life. A gas-tight version of our hydro bow screen was developed for the filtration of odorous suspensions. It comes with a cover that is attached to the housing frame at several places in a gas-tight manner. In addition, the bow screen is sealed in such a way that it can compensate even overpressure during the production process. All our devices are also available with automatic solids extraction. For this purpose several devices can be set up in a row, for instance, and the solids extraction be performed via a spiral conveyor. Furthermore, the solids can be transported to lower-lying locations in the plant via discharge chute for subsequent use. 7

Fine rake screen Contrary to other products, our fine rake screens are used in areas in which the flow direction of the volume flow to be filtered is not diverted. In municipal and industrial wastewater treatment plants, in waste treatment and resource recovery, rakes are an indispensible separation tool during the production cycle. Our fine rake screens are available in various designs. We offer variants with screen belt, rake cleaners with spring loaded screen plate and expansion to coarse rakes available on site. The use of high-quality stainless steel and plastic materials ensures high corrosion resistance and permanent availability of the screens. Low maintenance, easy accessibility of the components, low energy requirement and easy handling guarantee the cost-efficient operation of the rakes in all plants. A high level of solid separation in the medium to be cleaned is achieved even at angles of attack up to 60 degrees. Our fine rake screens are available in widths of 400-1500 mm and slot widths of 0.6 to 15 mm. 8

Screw compactors screw compactor is The the aggregate for post-dewatering and compaction of residues from wastewater or process water cleaning. This includes in particular the screened and raked material from mechanical wastewater purification of coarse and fine rakes, drum screens or curved screens. The application ranges from municipal wastewater treatment plants all the way to wine-making. These screw compactors are used especially for residue dewatering in the paper industry, wood or food processing sectors. screw compactor The consists of a stainless steel trough with input shaft and recessed drainage zone. In addition, it is equipped with a shaftless carbon spiral specifically developed for heavy-duty application. Rotary filters Rotary filters are ideal for filtering very small particles such as algae, organic materials and microorganism from rivers, lakes and rainwater. Featuring a hydraulic motor, they are suitable for installation in places without electrical connection. This requires only a pre-pressure of 1.5 bar.
