to respect our planet Klover has always had the utmost respect for nature, investing in renewable and environmentally friendly energy sources. ood has always been used for heating, while the pellet is a younger fuel. ood pellets are made using untreated sawdust and without the use of added glues or paint. A pellet mill forces the sawdust through a series of holes which causes the sawdust to heat up to temperatures that enable the lignin* in the wood to bind the pellet together. This give the pellet its characteristic shiny surface. The pellets are held in a hopper which is part of, or near, the stove. An auger moves the pellets from the hopper to a combustion crucible where they are burnt. This combustion process is controlled by an on board computer. The pellet feed rate is carefully monitored so that the pellets are burnt hard and fast. A fan blows air directly into the crucible, giving a good supply of oxygen, with the result that the low moisture pellets burn cleanly and with efficiencies of over 90%. The boiler models then pass the hot gases up and down through a series of tubes inside the boiler, which transfers nearly all of that heat into the water. The non-boiler models have a fan which actively blows hot air into the room. Unlike a woodburning stove a pellet stove is automated. The stove turns itself on and off and you can program it just like your normal oil or gas boiler. 4 *Lignin: Trees have two transport systems, the xylem and the phloem, which play a similar role to our venous and arterial systems. The phloem carries the sugars, produced in the leaves through photosynthesis, to feed the cells in the rest of the tree. The xylem takes water from the roots upwards to higher parts of the tree. Lignin is what makes the xylem waterproof.

PELLETS Smart 0 Smart 0 Pellet Cooker ith an output to water of 17.5, and total automation, the Smart 0 will take care of all your heating and hot water needs, give you a hot oven and hotplate as well as being a really stylish addition to your kitchen. As with all Klover products, the Smart 0 is superbly built, and designed with great attention to detail. You can set it exactly as you would an oil or gas boiler so that it comes on and goes off to fit in with the way you live. On the left hand side of the cooker is the hopper that holds 32 kilos of pellets, which are automatically fed into the fire chamber as fuel is required. The hopper only needs reloading every one or two days and with Klover's advanced combustion system, this nearly carbon neutral fuel is being burnt at over 90% efficiency. Built to the same exacting high standards as all Klover products, it is designed to give years of trouble free, low cost and environmentally friendly heating. It is simply boxed in so that it becomes part of the house and it doesn't need maintenance panels or access doors. OODPELLETS Bi-fire mid Burgundy ceramic covering Combined log and wood pellet boiler stove The Klover Bi-Fire Mid is a combined log and wood pellet boiler stove that is able to give out over 25 of heat, plenty for most houses. Like other Klover boilers the Bi-Fire Mid is handbuilt with care and attention given to every detail. The uncompromising selection of high quality components ensures the longevity of this boiler.the Bi-Fire Mid has a wood pellet boiler on the left hand side and a log boiler stove on the right. You can burn them separately or together and you can program the pellet burner to come on as required. Light the log boiler and let that first load of wood get the house warm and then the pellet boiler will automatically come in to keep it there. Burning only wood pellets at an efficiency of 90.8% the Bi-Fire Mid gives up to 10.7 of heat to water and 4.3 to the room. Burning only logs the Bi-Fire runs at 75% efficiency and gives up to 9,7 of heat to water and 3.0 to the room. This gives a combined output of 20,4 to water and 7.3 to the room. There is the option to add in a combi-coil which provides on demand domestic hot water and the Bi-Fire comes as standard with Klover's unique Security Top System. The Security Top makes installing the Bi-Fire Mid easy and safe, whether it is going onto an open vented or pressurised system. OODPELLETS Bi-fire Silver ceramic covering Combined log and wood pellet boiler ith a 48 Kg hopper capacity for the pellet burner, and a large firebox for the wood stove side, this 28.6 output Bi-Fire has the capacity to heat your whole house using either logs, pellets or a combination of both. Like the Bi-Fire Mid it also has an option to heat all your domestic water. The Bi-Fire can give out up to 10.5 to water and 4.5 to the room burning wood pellets, at an efficiency of 89.5%. Burning logs the Bi-Fire can give out up to 8.1 to water and 5.5 to the room at an efficiency of 74.8%. This gives a combined potential output of 18.6 to water and 10 to the room. The Klover Bi-Fire can also, of course, be run at lower outputs once the house is up to temperature. ith the choice of burning wood or pellets or both at the same time the Bi-Fire really does give you the best of both worlds. Two completely separate combustion chambers, one for pellet and one for wood, guarantee the maximum efficiency of the flame and flue gases.that's why Bi-Fire reaches high performance with the of lowest emissions. A single flue allows the installation of the stove in any room without the necessity of complicated building work. PELLET MEETS OOD. Bi-Fire has the option of burning just pellet or just wood. If you are using wood there is also the possibility of programming the pellet to automatically fire up as soon as the hot water falls below the desired temperature, burning pellet and wood simultaneously. OOD Boiler Fireplace TKR TKR 35 Boiler Fireplace The Klover TKR 35 is extremely well made and the quality of the design, finish and materials specification shines out. The vertical sliding door glides up into the wall with a positive and smooth action, the heavy gauge steel body is built to last and even the installation is made easy by the wheels on the feet. The TKR will produce up to 17 of hot water and pass up to 11.5 of heat to the room at a very impressive 83% efficiency. Suited to open vented or pressurised systems the TKR has Klover's unique Security Top system which makes linking this stove into an existing heating configuration very straightforward. There is the option for a combi coil which can give instant domestic hot water when the stove is running. The superior design of this stove shows again at the base of the firebox with the inclusion of nine, very thick firebricks. These soak up a lot of heat which is then reflected back up into the firebox raising efficiency and which will continue to give out heat long after the stove has gone out. Lift these bricks and you gain access to the hydraulic components such as the central heating pump and expansion vessel. Consequently, when the TKR has a service or when something needs testing, these parts are easily reached by your engineer. See relevant brochure. OOD Boiler Fireplaces SS + X top Boiler Fireplaces Klover Boiler Fireplaces SS and X Top can come in two sizes, a 24 or a 29 output, and in two styles, either a flat ceramic glass front or a Panoramic glass front. They are designed to heat your home while minimising log consumption with an efficiency of over 80%. ith the large heat exchangers located close to the hottest part of the fire, your domestic hot water (option) and radiators will heat up in no time. Dedicated woodburners, these two models can deliver 17 and 21 respectively to water and between 7 and 8 to the room. They can be fitted to a vented or pressurised system, made easy by Klover's Security Top system, and can come with an electronic control unit (option). The Panoramic model is fitted with thick firebricks which store up the heat and releases it even after the fire has gone out. OOD Log Boilers KL 29-40 Utility Log Boilers The Klover Utility Boiler 40 gives out up to 38.6 of heat making it suited to providing heating and hot water for large size houses. The Klover Utility Boiler 29 is the smaller version producing up to 28.8 output and, like its larger brother, it makes sure it maximizes the heat from the flue gases as well as the flames giving it an efficiency rating of 83%. e would usually recommend installing Klover boiler stoves and utility boilers with an accumulator tank as this lets the boiler run at full output until the tank is hot and allows the heat to be stored until it is needed. 10 H 6 6 D = width (mm) D = depth (mm) H = height (mm) 27

ICON KEY BOILER CONTROL Possibility to put the combined gas-fired boiler in standby mode when the KLOVER item s pump starts. Consequently, two combined boilers will never work simultaneously. FIRE VIE You can enjoy the pleasure of looking at the fire through the ceramic glass. The door has a special air vent which keep the glass clean for a long time (cleanliness also depending on fuel quality and on flue efficiency). 3-AY VALVE CONTROL In case of combination KLOVER item with another boiler, possibility to control a 3-way valve installed on the DH circuit. In this way, if the item is not able to produce the quantity of domestic hot water you need, the 3-way valve shuts the pellet- andor wood-burning side and opens the gas-fired boiler side. EASY TO CLEAN Cleaning the flue gas pass is simple and quick. SIC U R O to p Sa fety Sy s tem HO IT USED TO BE. Before the Klover SICURO top System was developed, to install any kind of wood boiler into a heating system it was necessary to install an open feed and expansion vessel in the loft, a heat sink radiator able to be heated by thermosyphon directly from the stove and a load unit to maintain the boiler temperature. None of those are necessary with a SICURO top stove. It also allows the stove to be connected directly to a pressurised system without pressurising the boiler or needing an overheat safety valve. Should a power cut occur when the stove is running, and the pumps cut out, the stove can continue running safely until the electricity comes back on or the fuel runs out. THE IDEA. The SICURO top system was designed in 1998 in the KLOVER workshops in order to offer a range of 'Security' products that are technologically innovative, whilst still maintaining the highest standards in every detail. This system has been developed and improved, to increase thermal yield, safety and reliability. Today Klover can boast of a special safety system that is a one-ofa-kind in the world, and has proven itself for over 10 years. THE SICURO top SYSTEM. SICURO top exploits the Bain-Marie double boiler principle, allowing you to have the home heating system with a closed expansion vessel, while SICURO top has an incorporated openvessel, and therefore zero pressure in the boiler. A SICURO top heating appliance can be integrated into a system that is already installed (any type of boiler, even wall-hung gas-fired boilers) or can function as the sole source of heating for your home. The boiler body is a water chamber" type with exchange elements in direct contact with the flame. The hearth is closed by a ceramic glass door. The combustion chamber is completely surrounded by water (except for the front part and fire top). The flue gas does a double pass before leaving the combustion chamber, thus transmitting as much heat to the water as possible. A primary and secondary heat exchanger respectively heats the radiators and produces domestic hot water. The heat exchangers are immersed in water that flows into a stainless steel tank that has a removable cover so that the entire system can be inspected. A specially-designed magnesium anode protects the boiler body and the stainless steel heat exchangers from stray currents and galvanic corrosion. 34
SIMPLE BUT EFFECTIVE OPERATION. The fire and flue gas heat the water inside the boiler body which in turn heats the water circulating in the heat exchangers (primary heat exchanger in 22 mm diameter stainless steel pipe for heating system and secondary heat exchanger in 14 mm stainless steel pipe for domestic hot water production). Control of the water running inside the primary heat exchanger (for radiators) is managed by the electronic control unit, while the water running in the secondary heat exchanger (DH) is assured by the pressure of the water mains or by the autoclave, if needed. ZERO PRESSURE. There is no longer the danger of pressure building up if the water boils. The pressure inside the boiler body is zero. The product is equipped with an overflow tube which provides safety in case of boiling, discharging the excess water from the tank. S I C U R O t o p S a f e t y S y s t e m 35
