Model CA Air Handling Units are designed to give effective treatment of the air and are manufactured incorporating corrosion resistant materials, such as anodised profiles and stainless steel fixings. 1) CASING: Double skinned panels are fixed to an anodized aluminum alloy framework with stainless steel screws, forming a rigid casing enclosing the various air treatment sections such as mixing, filtration, heating, cooling, humidification, supply fan, extract fan. If required, various other sections such as heat recovery, multizone, sound attenuators can be incorporated. Air tight sealing is ensured through a neoprene gasket between the panel and the frame. Depending on the application and the operating environment, there are several options while selecting the composition of the double skinned panels. TYPE CA : Panels are of double skinned construction with insulation between two solid metal sheets. PANEL THICKNESS: 25mm or 50mm. PANEL MATERIALS: INNER SHEET (SOLID) Galvanized steel (plain/prepainted/preplasticised) Peraluman (Al. Alloy) Stainless Steel Sheet Galvanized Steel OUTER SHEET (SOLID) Galvanized steel (plain/prepainted/preplasticised) Peraluman (Al. 2) CONSTRUCTION: a) ACCESS DOORS: For inspection or maintenance of the components in various sections such as filters, fans, motors, coils, etc., double skinned access doors are provided either fully removable or with hinges made of die cast aluminum. b) RETURN/INLET PLENUM: Return/inlet plenums with same construction as unit casing can be supplied with or without opposed blade, volume control damper. c) BASE FRAMES: Units are supplied with a heavy gauge galvanized base frame. This base frame extends under the complete unit if unit is supplied in one section or under each section if unit is supplied in split sections. Optional: Intake Louver d) FILTER SECTION: Filter Banks are designed for easy withdrawal and replacement of filters. Fully sealed filter frames are designed to accommodate various types of filters such as: e) MIXING BOX & DAMPERS: Mixing Boxes are of same construction as the unit casing and are available with two or three dampers arrangement with configuration to suit the plant room ductwork. Dampers are sized for 6.0 m/ sec velocity. Dampers are of opposed airfoil blade type. Airfoil blades are made of aluminum alloy extrusions and are assembled in aluminum alloy framework. Optional - Panel filters - Automatic filters - Bag filters - Absolute filters Filters of specified manufacturer Filter manometers Filter pressure switches - Activated carbon filters - Intertial sand filters - Oil bath filters - Electrostatic filters f) COIL SECTION: Cooling/heating coils are computer selected to obtain specified heat exchange capacities. Cooling coils are of chilled water or direct expansion type, while heating coils are of hot water or steam type. Coils are made of copper tubes, mechanically bonded to aluminum fins, assembled in heavy gauge galvanized frame work. Water and steam coils are complete with galvanized steel headers while DX coils are with copper headers and brass refrigerant distributor. All coils are leak tested under water at 30 bar. Coils are mounted within the coil section to facilitate easy withdrawal. Drain pan made of stainless steel sheets is provided under the cooling coil section with threaded drain outlet. Optional Copper headers for water coils Vinyl coated aluminum fins Copper fins HERESITE coate coils Electro-tinning of Cu/Cu coil after manufacture. Stainless steel coil frame Run aruond coils - 5 -
g) MOISTURE ELIMINATOR: If necessary, moisture eliminators can be fitted after the cooling coil / humidifier section to avoid carry over of moisture. Eliminator blades are made of polypropylene and are assembled within a heavy guage galvanized steel frame. Optional: Eliminator blades made of galvanized sleel / prepainted steel / stainless steel, with frames made of galvanized steel sheets. h) HUMIDIFYING SECTION: Following types of humidifiers are available; Airwasher complete with recirculating pump, water distribution pipework, spray nozzles, inlet strainer, drain pan with overflow and moisture eliminator.
