Environmental monitoring and assessment SLU has a unique purpose that sets it apart from other universities in Sweden. Since 1997, SLU has been conducting extensive environmental monitoring and assessment, by request of the Swedish government. The programme reflects Sweden s commitment to international conventions and directives in the international area.
