Before using Notice: 1. Operation temperature range: Check up whether the exhaust hose has been mounted properly. Cautions for cooling and dehumidifying operations: - When using functions on cooling and dehumidifying, keep an interval of at least 3 minutes between turning on and turning off. - Power supply meets the requirements. - The socket is for AC use. - Do not share one socket with other appliances. - Power supply is AC230V,50Hz 2. Cooling operation - Press the Mode button till the Cool icon (see Figure 4) appears. - Press the Temp + or Temp - button to select a desired room temperature. Troubleshooting Troubles Possible Causes Suggested Remedies Unit does not start when pressing POWER button - Water full indicator lamp blinks, and water tank is full. - Room temperature is higher than the setting temperature. (Electric heating mode) - Room temperature is lower than the setting temperature. (Cooling mode) Dump the water out of the water tank. Reset the temperature Reset the temperature Not cool enough - The doors or windows are not closed. Make sure all the windows and doors are closed. - There are heat sources inside the room. Remove the heat sources if possible - Exhaust air hose is not connected or blocked. Connect or clean the exhaust air hose. - Temperature setting is too high. Reset the temperature - Air inlet is blocked. Clean the air inlet. Noisy - The ground is not level or not flat enough Place the unit on a flat, level ground if possible - The sound comes from the flowing of the refrigerant inside the air conditioner It is normal. several operation icons will blink - at a room temperature higher or equal 18 C, Auto mode and cooling mode will work together. If the room temperature is equal to or above 18 C, the unit can cool in the automatic mode. At lower temperatures the device will protect the compressor by automatically switching into ventilation mode. E0 Code There is evidence that this error massage is caused to a room temperature which is too high. It can also caused by a temporary fault at the rating between incoming- and outcoming temperature. Please turn off the unit and turn in on after 30 minutes. If this fault is everlasting, your PROGRESS unit should be checked by a professional. E2 Code Water tank full Please empty the water tank. Can I switch the PROGRESS unit on immediately after unpacking it? When switching on the PROGRESS unit I sense a smell. What should I do? Can I operate the PROGRESS unit WITHOUT the extract air hose? At which intervals should the activated carbon filter of the PROGRESS unit be replaced? Production-related cause or incorrect storage of unit at e.g. dusty areas. No. The PROGRESS unit must be placed upright for at least 24 hours after every transport. Otherwise the compressor may be damaged and there is no capacity. Odour development can arise on first use and after a longer period of non-use by storing in unsuitable areas (e.g. dusty areas). Run the unit for ½ a day. The smell will disappear after a while. In the case of intensive odour development, air the room. Yes, but only in dehumidification mode. To achieve temperature adjustments, surplus coldness must be discharged. To use the purpose of the filter fully, it should be replaced every 6 months. 7

How can I increase the efficiency of the PROGRESS unit? External circumstances exist which may impact the efficiency of the PROGRESS unit. Room insulation, use of wall/window adapter, ratio of window space (solar radiation), operation of electrical units in the room (EDP), presence of several persons in the room. You can increase the efficiency of the PROGRESS unit accordingly by adjusting such circumstances. Compressor does not activate Depending on ambient temperatures and PROGRESS unit type it may take approx. 10 minutes after starting the compressor until the cooling capacity is reached. PROGRESS unit deactivates. How is the m² or m³ data of the manufacturer calculated PROGRESS unit does not cool correctly On reaching the set required temperature, the PROGRESS unit switches off automatically. Check manual setting of the required temperature as well as the TIMER setting. The m² or m³ data of the manufacturer for the various PROGRESS units are average values related to a room height of 2.5 metres. It must be considered that such data can be clearly underscored or exceeded under certain circumstances. Circumstances which work against efficiency of the PROGRESS units include e.g. bad insulation of the building, large window areas, south facing, attic apartment, many additional heat sources, such as e.g. number of persons, EDP, light, kitchen units, washing units etc. You achieve the most effective and economical cooling comfort if you already cool the room to be cooled when the room temperature is not yet heated up. Air conditioners operate more effectively if the temperature is to be maintained. To drastically cool the air and inventory in a fully heated room requires much more time and energy. 8

EC-Declaration of Conformity The unit complies with the essential health and safety requirements of the European Union. The EC declaration of conformity is the basis for the CE marking of this unit. ERP REGULATION This high-quality single-channel portable air conditioning unit is in accordance with the rules and regulations of the European Union, in particular the new ERP Regulation 626/2011 to a "local air conditioner." The coolant does have zero ozone depletion potential, but is a so-called greenhouse gases under the Kyoto Protocol and may thus contribute to global warming, if it is released to the atmosphere. Therefore only trained technicians with refrigerant certificate make a filling or emptying. Suntec your air conditioner does not have to use if used properly and undamaged coolant circuit can be refilled with refrigerant. GWP: R410A (R32/125: 50:50): 1975 NOTE CONCERNING PROTECTION OF ENVIRONMENT This product must not be disposed of via normal household waste after its service life, but must be taken to a collection station for the recycling of electrical and electronic devices.
