1. INTRODUCTION Congratulations! You have just purchased a Duolix MAX high output, low consumption double flow central ventilation unit from Atlantic. This central unit will allow you to have good quality air indoors at all times, whilst saving energy. Thank you for placing your trust in our products, please read these instructions carefully before using your product. This document describes all of the functions of your unit. Perfect ventilation is now possible with the Atlantic Duolix MAX! 2. PRESENTATION OF YOUR DUOLIX MAX DOUBLE FLOW UNIT 2.1. The Duolix MAX unit A lack of ventilation causes pollutants to accumulate and this can be damaging to your health, comfort and your home. (Humidity, CO2 emitted by you and others, damp and dirty carpets and floors, persistent misting...) The Double flow CMV is a ventilation system that filters and extracts foul air from service rooms ( the kitchen, bathroom, WC, laundry room ) and also blows in fresh, filtered air at the same time, into the living areas (living room, bedroom, office ) In SUMMER The new air cools down upon contact with the extracted air. It is naturally cooled when it enters and thus avoids heating your home. In WINTER The fresh air collects the heat from the foul air and is pre-heated when it enters by the heat exchanger. In winter the fresh air is pre-heated by the high efficiency heat exchanger (92% recovery) when it is 5 C outside and 22 C inside, the fresh air enters at 21 C. The fresh air enters cool in summer: when it is 30 C outside and 21 C inside, the fresh air enters at just 22 C. Your electricity consumption is halved: thanks to its DC motors: from 24 W-Th-C per motor depending on the layout of your home. 3

DETAILS OF YOUR DUOLIX MAX Construction: Painted steel housing. White moulded front. Inside: PSE and insulating polyurethane foam. High performance counter flow polystyrene heat exchanger. High efficiency pleated filters F7. Built-in flow splitter. Weight: 40 kg. 5 connector holes 125 on top face fitted with seals: 1 fresh air inlet diam 125, 1 air outlet diam 125, 1 fresh air distribution hole diam. 125, 1 air inlet from kitchen diam.125, 1 air inlet from sanitary areas diam. 125. Radio-controlled. 2.2. The remote control To increase efficiency and your comfort, the Duolix MAX has a nomad remote control that allows you to manage all functions of your appliance: - activation of boosted flow in kitchen - activation of the general boosted ventilation in your home - reduced ventilation flow when absent - selection of automatic or manual programmes - display appliance information (state of filters, inlet/outlet temperature, efficiency of unit )! 3. FIRST USE 3.1. Safety instructions IMPORTANT: - This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) without experience or knowledge of it, unless the operation of the appliance has been explained to them by a person in charge of their safety. - Children should be watched to ensure they do not play with the appliance. 3.2. Position of the remote control The range of the remote control may vary depending on the obstacles in its path (walls, floors ). In most cases, its range is sufficient to allow the remote control to be placed anywhere in the home. In an open area (i.e. with no obstacles) is 100 m. However the following recommendations should be respected to get the best results from your appliance. Recommendations: The remote control must not be exposed to sources of humidity (showers, sinks ). The maximum recommended ambient temperature for the remote control must not exceed 40 C continuously. To ensure it operates correctly, we recommend that the remote control is not placed of fixed to a metal support. Quality of signal The reception signal quality of the remote control can be viewed by pressing the button for 5 seconds. The reception level will be displayed for one minute if no other button is pressed. If the following screen is displayed, it means that the remote control is not receiving the signal. 5

To improve the signal quality, move the remote control closer to the Duolix MAX. If the problem persists, carry out the pairing procedure. Refer to the paragraph "Pairing procedure" on page 13. Placing it on a flat surface The remote control may be placed on any flat support. For better stability, unfold the rear support to stand it in the upright position. Fixing it to the wall To fix the remote control to a wall, first detach its attachment bracket at its rear: 1 - Move the base away from the support 2 - Pull to release Then fix the bracket to the wall with screws and plugs (not supplied) suited to the wall. 3 - Use the holes to fix the support to the wall. 4 - Place the remote control against the support to clip it back together. 6

Display of energy saving: This is an estimation based on a comparison between a Duolix MAX double flow ventilation and an equivalent system without an exchanger (self-regulating single flow for example). These two systems provide equivalent air renewal (same air flow rates) but, as explained on page 3, the double flow system recovers the energy from the air extracted to heat the air blown into your home. This energy that is recovered is displayed in on of the pages of the menu. To display the energy saved by your Duolix MAX since the counter was last reset, press thearrow buttons and until the previous screen is displayed. then Reset Thegains in kwh can be reset on the remote control by briefly pressing the two arrow buttons simultaneously when in the and efficiency. menu with the display of the gains OK Gain kwh 4.5.
