In case of a power failure, it will work in the status set before power interruption after energized again. 9.4 Defrosting Defrosting theory: The defrosting of evaporator is realized by turning on the heater, following the temperature rise, the frost on evaporator becomes melts, and the melted ice becomes water and flows into the drain pan via the draining system, the water in drain pan is exposed into the environment and eventually evaporates. Defrosting steps: Compressor is switched off the air duct closed the fan in freezer chamber works for 3~10 min(for different kinds of refrigerators, the time is different too) the heater starts working the heater is switched off when the temperature rises to the defrost temp setting defrosting done. 9.5 Function Selection a. Locking and Unlocking In unlocking status, press the D button for 2 seconds to enter the operation locking status, and the icon 6 displays the locking pattern; in locking status, press the D button for 2 seconds, and the icon 6 displays the unlocking pattern, the lock is released. b. The temperature is regulated as: -16 C - -17 C - -18 C - -19 C - -20 C - -21 C - -22 C - -23 C - -24 C - -16 C - -17 C after the temperature regulating, the nixie tube flashes for 5 seconds, and the new set temperature becomes effective after being locked. Note: When the set temperature of refrigerating chamber or freezing chamber is changed, the relevant status mode (such as Quick Cooling status, Quick Freezing status, Quick Cooling and Quick Freezing mode, or Holiday mode), set in refrigerating chamber or freezing chamber, is exited/canceled immediately. 30 / 39

9.6 Self-diagnosis a. Phase I of display panel self-inspection: Fault detection of the connected sensor. If the resistance therein is found abnormal, the fault code will be displayed on the panel and the alarm be triggered to buzz for as long as 6 seconds before the phase II of self-inspection begins; if the sensor functions well, then the phase II of display panel self-inspection will automatically starts. Inspection of all the temperature input ports. If something goes wrong, corresponding fault code will be shown on the display panel. b. NOTE: E6 will be shown on the panel if the display panel fails to receive correct communication messages during 5 seconds after powered on, or if it fails to receive correct data during 60 seconds when de-energized. NOTE: E6 will be shown on the panel if the main-board fails to receive correct communication messages during 8 seconds after powered on for 15 seconds, or if it fails to receive correct data during 60 seconds when powered off. 31 / 39

9.7 Compressor fan control(none) 10. Circuit Description 10.1 Power Supply The AC input power is reduced in voltage by SMPS control chip and filtered off wave by the inductance-capacitance filter, then output the DC 12V power which will mainly power the relay that controls strong current. Relay is used to control the strong current loaded switches of compressor, ice maker and defrost heater. The DC 12V power will output stable 5V electricity after passing through the adjustor 7805, to power for the main control chip and thus monitor the temperature changes in refrigerator. 10.2 Test circuit for door switch As is shown in the picture, R-S/w and GND are directly connected with the door switch. Therefore, if the refrigerator door is closed, the said switch will be turned off and a high power level of MCU port be detected and if the refrigerator door is opened, the said switch will be turned on and a low power 32 / 39

level of MCU port be detected. MCU is able to tell whether the door is closed or opened from high or low power level. 10.3 Temperature test circuit It s conducted by the sensor, making use of the characteristics that resistance value reduces as the temperature increases, and the thermostat that has temperature coefficient of resistance in medium temperature. The characteristic that resistance value reduces as the temperature increases is deemed to have negative slope or negative temperature coefficient (NTC), and such thermostat is called as NTC thermostat. The resistance value changes sensitively with temperature and typically changes 7% ~ 3% per degree centigrade. Sensor used in the refrigerator is NTC thermostat. There is following computing formula for the sensor: Sampling voltage / reference voltage = R1 / (RNTC + R1) AD value / reference AD value = R1 / (RNTC + R1) The reference voltage is 5V, RNTC is the resistance value of the sensor, R1 is R31\R32\R33 in schematic diagram that is 5.1K 10.4 BLDC Fan motor circuit The fan in the freezing chamber is running when the compressor is operating. Check 12V and FAN to see if there is a voltage of 12V. When in normal operation, the fan is in low level and the voltage between 12V and FAN is more than 11V. If there s no voltage when the compressor is in operation, fan motor or electric control panel can be replaced. 33 / 39

10.5 Fan motor circuit of the ventilation door Stepping motor is installed on the ventilation door while the main control board outputs square waves. The ventilation door will open when the refrigerator needs refrigeration and will be closed when do not. 10.6(R/T)Resistance value of the sensor (R/T) Tx( ) R(KΩ) Tx( ) R(KΩ) Tx( ) R(KΩ) Tx( ) R(KΩ) Tx( ) R(KΩ) -30 33.81-15 14.31 0 6.495 15 3.141 30 1.617-29 31.85-14 13.55 1 6.175 16 2.999 31 1.55-28 30.01-13 12.83 2 5.873 17 2.865 32 1.486-27 28.29-12 12.16 3 5.587 18 2.737 33 1.426-26 26.68-11 11.52 4 5.315 19 2.616 34 1.368-25 25.17-10 10.92 5 5.06 20 2.501 35 1.312-24 23.76-9 10.35 6 4.818 21 2.391 36 1.259-23 22.43-8 9.82 7 4.589 22 2.287 37 1.209-22 21.18-7 9.316 8 4.372 23 2.188 38 1.161-21 20.01-6 8.841 9 4.167 24 2.094 39 1.115-20 18.9-5 8.392 10 3.972 25 2.005 40 1.071-19 17.87-4 7.968 11 3.788 26 1.919 41 1.029-18 16.9-3 7.568 12 3.613 27 1.838 42 0.9885-17 15.98-2 7.19 13 3.447 28 1.761 43 0.9506-16 15.12-1 6.833 14 3.29 29 1.687 44 0.914 34 / 39
