The fair was conducted on its traditional grounds in IEC Crocus Expo, Pavilion 1, Halls 3 and 4. The exposition of 15 300 sq.m presented 229 exhibitors from 18 countries. This year Heimtextil Russia again celebrates an increase in the amount of visitors: 17 656 professionals of the textile industry visited the exposition during the four days. Fair visitors could see the novelties of home and interior textiles presented by the companies from all over the world: Austria, Bulgaria, China, Egypt, Finland, Georgia, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Moldova, the Netherlands, Pakistan, Portugal, Tunisia, Turkey, Vietnam and others. National pavilions of Germany, China, Egypt, Pakistan, Turkey took part in Heimtextil Russia 2016. The international part of the exposition included such market players as Hefel (Austria), KT Exclusive (Germany), Bovi (Portugal), Neutex Home Deko (Germany), Castiglioni (Italy), Verbeekdesigns (the Netherlands), Gujarat Flotex (India), United Textiles (Egypt), Bari Testile (Pakistan), TIROTEX (Moldova) and others. Textile products of the domestic market were presented by such Russian companies as Gallery Arben, Casablanca, MONOLIT, Goldtex, Protos & Co, Vologda Textile Factory, Teatr Tkaney, Décor City, TexRepublic and others.
Both visitors and exhibitors of the trade fair noted the quality growth of Heimtextil Russia. The range of the companies participating in the trade fair as well as their presented products proved the image of Heimtextil Russia as a professional event of high level, high quality and high standards. The fair exposition also featured an increase of some product groups. Apart from the general exposition of textiles and already traditional pavilion of wallpaper and wall coverings (AdaWall (Turkey), Pina Tekstil (Turkey), SIHL GmbH (Germany), Fuggerhaus (Russia), Zhejiang Lulian Decorative Material (China), presented for the second year an expanded pavilion of surface design. The pavilion named Design Laboratory featured nine designers and design studios. Another new product group was Digital Print. Within the framework of this group Epson, SMART-T, RussCom Graphics and Textile&Technologies demonstrated the advantages of digital print on fabrics. was held with the support of its permanent General Media partner the leading Russian magazine on Interior design ELLE DECORATION. The multibrand furniture company Solo Office Interiors was the Official partner of the fair. It provided furniture for the VIP Lounge and Business Lounge. The business lounge coffee sponsor, Miko Group, treated fair participants to tea and coffee, and the food sponsor, Hellenic Goods, provided Greek delicacies for VIP lounge. Specialized web portal Шторы.рф was the Partner of, Novotel Sheremetyevo Airport - the official hotel of the fair. Heimtextil Russia is a specialized event for the professional audience. This year several b2b programmes were conducted during the trade fair, where visitors had a chance to meet with company representatives in a business format. B2b programme with textile manufacturers from Egypt and Pakistan was conducted in the business lounge. A special project named Heimtextil Russia Online Mania was held at the Heimtextil global booth. It featured representatives of the leading Russian portals on interior design and online shops of home and interior textile. continues to develop the theme of textiles in contract business. The highlight of this year was textile
equipment of commercial objects for public catering.these are restaurants, bars, cafes, night clubs and others. Textile product groups used in public catering include kitchen textiles, table decoration, curtains, wallpaper and wall coverings, carpets, furniture upholstery, etc. The exposition of presented a number of companies with a wide assortment of textile products used both for interior decoration of restaurant dining areas as well as for textile equipment of its kitchen area. We traditionally support the main theme of the fair with the annual contest for interior designers, which is also an amazing growth opportunity for young and talented designers. The contest this year was named New Perspectives and it was dedicated to the best textile decoration of a restaurant, café or bar. INTERIOR + DESIGN magazine was the media partner of the contest; AG Concept, Hellenic Goods, Tefal, Rondell sponsored the contest prizes. According to the contest conditions, an applicant had to send his project of textile decoration of a restaurant, café or bar in style with Heimtextil 2016/2017 trends. The first stage of the contest was supported by Pinwin.ru. The expert jury board defined three finalists, who became guest designers to decorate a special trend installation at. They were Vladimir Andriuschenko from Krasnodar, Marat Mazur from Saint Petersburg and Marina Sarkisyan from Moscow. During the fair they implemented their vision of table decoration using textile materials provided by the Sponsors of the Trend installation: Gallery Arben (Russia), Anka (Turkey), Fabreex (Russia), Treartex (Russia), multistiq (Germany), Figurniye Lambrekeny (Russia), Spradling International (Germany), Ernst Feiler (Germany). Vladimir Andriuschenko was recognized as the author of the best decoration, and in January 2017 he will go to the international trade fair for home and contract textiles, Heimtextil in Frankfurt, Germany. Marat Mazur and Marina Sarkisyan were the second and the third correspondingly. The three winners received many prizes from the sponsors of the contest. The award ceremony was followed by a buffet with champagne. Also near the trend installation New Perspectives visitors could see a Top 10 Gallery with the 10 best projects defined during the first part of the contest. Images for the Top 10 Gallery were printed by Epson, the sponsor of the contest.
One of the key events of the fair is the Heimtextil Russia Design Academy, which includes multiple projects and expositions. Lectures and seminars dedicated to interior design were conducted in a specially designed trend area, sponsored by TIROTEX textile company. This year the lecture programme was divided into several topical groups. The leading designers and decorators spoke about the features of textile equipment for hotels and restaurants; representatives of the successful Russian portals on interior design and online shops for home and interior textiles delivered lectures in the framework of Heimtextil Russia Online Mania project. Our praised guest from Amsterdam, designer Anne Marie Commandeur, presented the famous Heimtextil Trends 2016/2017 during the first three days of the fair. And the premiere of Heimtextil Russia was a special exposition named Design Education, dedicated to higher education on interior design in Russia. Fair visitors had an opportunity to meet representatives of Moscow Architectural Institute, Stroganov Moscow State University of Arts and Industry, Surikov Moscow State Academic Art Institute, Institute of Business and Design (B&D) and discuss learning environments, as well as take part in the practical workshops conducted by teachers of institutes throughout the trade fair. People could also visit Millami School sketching workshops. For those who wanted to have a rest during the intensive fair day and charge their mobile devices there were several Heimtextil Russia relaxation areas with special charging terminals, provided by the partner of the fair sky production company. Exhibitor statements Galleria Arben (Russia) Julia Chigina Our impressions of the trade fair are very positive: we had a good target audience and booth location. Speaking about the visitors I would say they were mostly drapery shops, including regional
ones. We also liked the fair grounds and a good location of Crocus Expo. Miinu (Germany) Mario Severin, Managing Director This is our first participation in Heimtextil Russia. It s quite good, we ve received a lot of positive feedback from the clients and made a lot of contacts. It seems that they like our products, the presentation. The organization is amazing. I don t know about the next year yet, but we will most probably participate. Kariguz (Russia) Anna Yarygina, Manager It s our first participation in Heimtextil Russia for the last five years. The visitors could be characterized by the days of the trade fair: there were more wholesalers during the first days, online shops and designers during the last days. Our booth was visited by the people with a vast geography all over the country: from Kaliningrad to Khabarovsk, from Central regions, Siberia and even CIS countries. Gujarat Flotex (India) Jay Prakash Tosniwal, Director The general impression is quite positive. The quantity of visitors is OK; they were primarily small companies. They were asking if we have agents in Russia from whom they could buy small quantities. The organization and logistics are very good, too. Our participation next year depends on the results of this fair. TIC DM Textil (Russia) Natalia Ovsyannikova, Head of Development Department Our company is a permanent participant of Heimtextil in Frankfurt, but we took part in Heimtextil Russia for the first time. In general our impressions from the trade fair are very positive: I would like to mark a high level of its organization and exhibitors range the largest companies from Europe and Russia. We evaluate our participation in the fair positively. We had many resultative contacts, continued negotiations with our existing clients and presented many product novelties. A large number of retailers and small wholesalers from Central Russia, Omsk, Novosibirks,
Kaliningrad and other cities visited our booth. And judging by the feedback many of those who met DM Textile for the first time, will soon become our partners. We are planning to take part in Heimtextil Russia next year. Meteor Textile (Turkey) Alexandra Ryzhenkova, Head of Sales Department It s our first participation in Heimtextil Russia. We have very good impression from the trade fair: very good fair grounds, beautiful decoration of the exposition, everything is clean and neat. We met as many visitors as we had expected, both existing and new clients. Our loyal visitors are drapery shops, design studios, online shops and wholesalers. Around 70% are people from the regions, 30% - from Moscow and Moscow Region. We are happy with everyhting. Donson (Russia) Stanislav Balak, Development Manager It s our first participation in Heimtextil Russia; before we had been participating in the Frankfurt edition. Our impressions from heimtextil Russia are very nice. The visitors are wholesalers, online shops, small retail chains, individual entrepreneurs, dealers, a lot of designers. 90% of the visitors are from the regions. I think we will participate in Heimtextil Russia next year. Cotton Home Industries (Georgia) Naushad H. Bhojani, General Manager It was the fourth time that we participated in Heimtextil Russia. This fair was good for us. We had a very good response. Our company is the only Georgian company in this exhibition. The visitors were ok, both in terms of quantity and quality. I can say that we have reached the goals we set before the fair. Eskar (Russia) Elena Svistunova, Head of Textile Department It s not the first time that we participate in Heimtextil Russia, and I can say that this year there were more clients on our booth. The visitors are mostly designers, online shops, drapery salons; around 60% of them come from the regions. We are planning to participate in Heimtextil Russia next year, too.
Alps (India) Nafis Saiyed, Asst. Vice President Furnishing Fabrics We last exhibited in Heimtextil Russia in 2010. During this break we started some business in Russia, so the Russian market is growing for us. The first and second days of the fair were very busy and the third and fourth days were a little quieter. But there is nothing to complain about. We are quite happy with infrastructure and the exhibition center. The organization is quite impressive! TIROTEX (Moldova) Denis Vasilenkov, Deputy Head of VED Department We have been participating in Heimtextil Frankfurt for 15 years, that s why when we were looking for a trade fair in Russia, we chose Heimtextil Russia. We have participated in this fair for the fourth time. The fair is organised on a stable high level. We like to participate here very much and we would like to thank the organizers for the support during the preparation period. The major part of our visitors are wholesalers. But recently there s appeared a group of visitors who are interested in small product quantities. This year there were many visitors from the regions: Ufa, Kaliningrad, Voronezh, Rostov. Before they had been generally from Moscow and Leningrad Regions. During the four days more than one hundred of existing and new partners visited our booth. Frankly speaking, we expected it to be much quieter due to the crisis. The organization of the fair becomes better every year it s very good! We have defined this fair for ourselve without any doubts and next year we ll take part in it for sure. DAYLIGHT (Russia) Valentina Antonenko, Project Manager We used to take part in this fair, then we made a pause, and we are back at Heimtextil Russia for the second year. A lot of designers, online shops, dealers and architects from Russia and the CIS countries came to our booth. The location of Crocus Expo is very convenient, one can easily get there even despite traffic jams. I like the fair organization very much: everything is accurate and clear.
Stivel (Тунис) Sami Dahmani The general impression of the fair is very good. We had many visitors and we managed to make a lot of new contacts. Speaking about the profile of the visitors, these were mostly designers, decorators and architects. The organization was very good, we are content with the location and infrastructure.
