T12022N Safety and Instruction Manual PLEASE READ CAREFULLY Ultra Xtreme Nutrient Extraction System

1912 Midland Metal Spinners was founded by George Cadman, who was then 65 years old, as a metal holloware manufacturing company, in St. Mark s Street, Wolverhampton. They later moved into the Tower and Fort Works in Pelham Street, which ultimately gave rise to the famous Tower brand name. 1961 Tower became one of the largest manufacturers of aluminium holloware, electric kettles, tea pots and other household articles with over 1,000 employees. 1974 Russell Hobbs took ownership of the expanding Tower brand. 1937 Tower exhibited some of their latest holloware designs at the British Industries Fair. As you can see from the original poster, their stand No. A410 must have been a great sight as it promoted their Beautiful, inexpensive, untarnishable Plate, at prices all can afford to pay. The Easiest Way to a Healthy Diet The Tower Ultra Xtreme Nutrient Extraction System not only extracts all the goodness in fruit and veg, but also in seeds, skins and stems. The powerful slow start motor and stainless steel diamond cut blades burst open seeds and crack through stems. It breaks up the parts so fine that you won t even know that they re there, giving you every bit of nutrition possible from your ingredients. The manual speed dial means you are always in control, allowing you to make smoothies, juices, soups and dips as smooth as you wish. The nonslip rubber feet mean that even when the blender is on power, it will stand firm. The generous two litre container means you can blend everything in one go, and the high strength jug is heat-proof, shatter-proof and dishwasher safe. 2 Register online at www.towerhousewares.co.uk for your FREE extended guarantee.

3 USING YOUR APPLIANCE 1. Place the blender on a dry, level surface. 2. Ensure the On/Off switch and the speed selector dial are in the off position. 3. Fill the jug with your ingredients and attach the lid before fitting the jug onto the base of the blender. 4. The jug will push into place. If it is not fitted correctly, the blender will not work. 5. Set the speed selector dial to your required speed. 6. Plug the blender into an electrical outlet and switch on. 7. Turn the On/Off switch the On position. 8. You can use the manual speed selector dial to control the speed during use. 9. To stop blending, turn the On/Off Switch to the Off position. Speed adjust: The blender has an analogue speed dial, working from left to right. Due to the slow start motor, the blender will begin slowly and speed up to the selected speed Pulse: The pulse switch must be held down for use. When the pulse switch is released the blender will automatically stop pulsing. If you are blending on a low speed, pressing the pulse switch down will speed up the blender. Blending hot liquids: When blending hot liquids do not fill the blender jug beyond the 1 litre level. Completely remove the centre portion of the two-piece container lid before starting the blender. This allows the rapidly heated air from the blender to vent whilst it s running. Hot liquids may push the lid off the jar during blending. To prevent this and any possible burns, place one hand on top of the lid to hold it down, with the protection of an oven mitt or thick towel. Keep any exposed skin away from the lid. Begin blending any hot liquids at the lowest speed. Soups: The speed that the blades travel warms the liquid allowing you to create tasty soups using your blender. Pause between pulsing and blending to see when your soup has reached your desired temperature and consistency. Tips: When you are using many ingredients, always ensure the liquid ingredients go into the jug first, followed by the solids. Make sure all ingredients are cut into even sized pieces for good consistency. When blending liquids, do not fill the blender past the 1 litre mark. Reset Button: There is a red reset button situated on the underside of the base. If the safety cut out is activated due to overloading or overheating press the reset button. 8 Register online at www.towerhousewares.co.uk for your FREE extended guarantee.

Safety and Instruction Manual 4 TROUBLE SHOOTING & FAQ S Blender fails to start or stops whilst it is running and cannot be restarted. My blender will not switch on. Blender doesn t turn off. Ingredients are not mixing properly. How big is the jug? How small do I need to chop my ingredients? Do I need to peel my ingredients? Food is unevenly chopped. You cannot achieve crushed ice from ice cubes. Hot smell emitting from unit Check to see if unit is securely plugged into an electrical outlet. The motor stops during operation due to overheating press the red reset button on the underside of the base, Once 10 minutes has passed, plug the blender back in and resume normal operation. Allow further cooling. Check the reset button under the base of the blender. Make sure the blade assembly is properly assembled to the jar and that it is not misaligned. Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet and call customer service for support. Ensure you have added enough liquid to the ingredients. Your mixture should be fluid at all times. You may have exceeded the max fill line on the jug. Do not fill past the highest graduation marking. The jug is 2 litres. Make sure all ingredients are cut into 1 cubes for optimum results. It is recommended to peel any fruit with a fibrous, thick skin, such as bananas and oranges. Depending on personal taste you can leave skins Either you are chopping too much food at once, or not pulsing properly. Reduce the amount of food in the jar. For best results, use ice straight from the freezer. Attempt a shorter operating time. The blender might have overheated, allow to cool before reusing. Helpline: +44 (0) 333 220 6066 9
