1 PH 3½-3 Pendant
In 2014, we are celebrating Poul Henningsen s 120 th birthday by introducing a new PH line to the market The PH 3½-3 pendant series. We have already introduced the PH 3½-3 pendant in a limited copper version with huge success! Now it s time to introduce the PH 3½-3 pendant with coloured metal shades!. 2
3 With the new PH 3½-3 we are opening up a new chapter in the large PH book! We are bringing a new series to the market which is a freeze of the early PH history.
The overall design/expression Matches the design of the PH 3½-3 from the late 1920s and early 1930s. We have been seeking a new vintage-look with a warmth and roughness, complementary to the more cold expression of the chrome plated surfaces in the program. 4
The new suspension unit This contains a number of details and rawness that stems from the early period of the PH products 5
The size The PH 3½-3 was introduced in 1929 The size of the top shade is 33 cm which in size places the new pendant in between the PH 3-2 and PH 4½-4 pendants. Materials, colours and variants The fixture housing is silk mat brown and made of copper. The pendant has metal shades, available in green, yellow, red and white with rolled edges. All colours are based on Poul Henningsen's colour universe. Like the designer, the fixtures are colourful! The expression is warm and soft! 9
Colours The white version is delicate and soft. Easy to fit in. The red and green colours are stronger colours that will be effectful used in any context. The yellow is a refreshing new colour and the curry-tone is very up-coming in contemporary décor. 10

Product details: Suspension unit: Silk mat brown, copper. Process: Extruded/Deep drawn copper which is copper plated, black plated, polished and finally lacquered with a thin layer Pendant tube covers the strain relief Cover, cord and socket. Can be installed separately. Two locking screws. Cover equipped with foils to avoid scratches Counter nut with knurling. Adjusting height of light source: 3,5 cm Clamp ring. Shades: Powder coated, aluminum shades. Semi-gloss. (White version is matt) Wet-painted on the inner-side. Matt White on the inner-side to optimize the light output As an extra feature, all shades have a white painted rolled edge, accentuating the familiar profile of the three-shade fixture and creating beautiful optical symmetry The rolled edge strengthens the shade. Lighting concept: The fixture is 100% glare-free, with a design based on the principle of a reflective three-shade system, which directs most of the light downwards. The shades are made of deep drawn aluminium with white inner surface that ensures gentle, downward light distribution. The downward light is both soft and pleasant. P. 22 Adjusting the height of the light source
Cleaning instructions: Cleaning instructions for shades: Wipe off dust wiht a dry, soft cloth. Remove greasy spots etc. with a soft cloth dampened in lukewarm water (<50 C) with a mild detergent. Never use detergents containing abrasives and solvents. Cleaning instructions for housing: Wipe off dust with a dry, soft cloth. If you use a soft cloth dampened in lukewarm water please remember to wipe the lamp with a dry cloth. Avoid using cleaning agents. 23
