Background Horticulture have been known as an important sector for economic growth, nutritional enhancement and enviromental sustainability. Horticulture products provide essential components of healthy and nutrinotious diet includings vitamins, phytochemicals, minerals and fiber that made horticulture is not only about production of food. It contributes to the quality of life and lifestyles. Along within, horticulture is now facing saveral challenges that expected to become even more stiffer and diverse. Improved nutrition, food functionality, theraupatic products and industrial uses should be considered traits to be improved by all the parties while agronomic traits is still on continuing improvement. This International Seminar gives the latest finding related to horticulture for the quality of life and also to exchange the ideas and esthablished new research collaboration in the field of horticulture. Objectives 1. To exchange the ideas dan to present the latest research related to horticulture 2. To facilitate opportunities for networking and new research collaboration in the field of horticulture from all the stake holders 3. To discuss the present and up coming issues in the field of horticulture, especially in ralated to horticulture for the quality of life
Activities Description The International Seminar will be divided into three sections, as follow: 1. Plenary Seminar Panel discussions from keynote speaker and five invited speakers.speakers presented include national and international academics, research institutes, and public companies. 2. Oral Presentation Session A total 30 selected presenters with selected topics will be presented orally. The presenter would spend about 7 minutes for the main content of the presentation and 3 minutes for Question and Answer (Q&A) section. 3. Poster Session Selected posters will be exhibited during the International Seminar. Papers that are not selected to be presented orally get the chance to be presented in poster session.
