1. Spray cooling channel Because of their modular construction, spray cooling channels are appropriate for nearly every house type with an intermediate ceiling.they are available in 5 different widths and consist of heat-insulated polyurethane plates. The individual hole pattern of the spray cooling plate enables optimum adaptation to the respective maximum summer air rates. The maximum admissible intake air speed of approx. 2.5 m/s in the channel for spray cooling, ensures a uniform supply of fresh air all over the house. Ideal climate in the piggery with Big Intake air The right air intake systems are essential to ensure a stable negative pressure ventilation. To achieve this, Big Dutchman offers the following: 2. Door ventilation The door ventilation is a simple air intake system for compartment houses or houses with a service room. It can be used especially in small finishing compartments and for piglet rearing = cost-effective system. The air rate to achieve a maximum air speed of 2.5 m/s, however, requires certain aisle diameters restricting the maximum size of the compartment. 3. CL 1200 fresh air units This universal fresh air unit is fitted into the wall of new houses (in older existing houses flange inlets can be used).the insulated inlet flap is kept in the closed position by stainless steel springs making the entire house air-tight. The operational panel can either open all fresh air units at the same time or one after the other. Heating Optimum temperatures in the house have a crucial influence on health and efficiency of the animals. In most climate zones, some form of heating is essential. Big Dutchman offers the following heating systems: 1. Delta pipe This heating system is appropriate for intake air systems with diffuse fresh air intake (spray cooling channels), is made of aluminium and operated by hot water (small water content). The delta pipe is a good heat conductor, has a high efficiency, low weight and can be easily mounted. It ensures constant ambient temperatures in the house. 2. JET MASTER or gas convector Both heaters are available for connection to natural or propane gas. A connection to a chimney is not required.the heat generated is 100 % beneficial to the animals with no heat losses.

Besides the respective air inlet and exhaust air elements, the computer is the catalyst for efficient climate control. Big Dutchman s MC 34 H meets the requirements in an ideal way. It is available for houses with one or two compartments and controls the entire house climate. Besides temperature and humidity control, control of humidification, cooling and/or soaking are also part of its capability. The four basic functions temperature, air humidity, ventilation and alarm can each be set by a separate key. In conjunction with the text display, operation is very easy. Temperature-controlled emergency opening system Special attention has to be paid to the operational reliability of the ventilation system. Therefore, an emergency opening system should be built-in. Big Dutchman s temperature-controlled MC 78 T emergency opening system ensures survival of the animals in case of power failure or technical breakdowns. The system comprises a 24 V DC power supply unit with built-in maintenance-free battery and charger and a separate temperature probe. The temperature, at which the system needs to react, can be adjusted manually at the device. This means that in an emergency, the intake and exhaust air elements will not open fully at once but gradually depending on the temperature. The emergency opening function itself is located in the MC 34 H. This means that the climate computer surveys the MC 78 T and raises an alarm if for example the temperature limit for emergency opening is set too high.
ntilation system for every house Exhaust air To ensure stable negative pressure ventilation requires the respective exhaust air chimneys including fans. For this, Big Dutchman offers the following possibilities: 1. PU exhaust air chimney with fan incorporated These chimneys consist of 50 mm thick polyurethane tubes. Thanks to the stable coating, inside and outside, of smooth glassfibre reinforced polyester, installation of the fans is very easy. Aspirating mouth and diffuser permit zero-loss aspirating and blowing of air. The chimneys are available in different sizes (Ø 370 to 920 mm) depending on the required air rate. 2. CL 600 exhaust air chimney The CL 600 exhaust air chimney has an aerodynamic shape which gives a large air performance. It is polypropylene and has a smooth, dirt-repelling surface. The self-supporting roof plate construction does not require any additional suspension or bracing.the plate is supplied depending on the roof slope, the roof profile and the height above the roof. The incorporated fan belonging to it is very easy to assemble and available in different versions. The exhaust air chimney is only available with a diameter of 650 mm. 3. Axial fan with frame These fans are suited for incorporating into a wall or ceiling. The frame has an aerodynamic shape and consists of high-quality reinforced plastic. Axial fans are characterised by high air performance with low energy consuption.they are easy to adjust, work at a low noise level and are available with a diameter of 300 to 920 mm. Cooling, humidifying, soaking Big Dutchman s Fogging Cooler is the ideal system for large house units for cooling, humidifying and soaking. Particularly on hot summer days it ensures constant temperatures in the house, provides the right air humidity and reduces dust formation. Moreover, it can be used for soaking before a thorough cleaning. The special nozzles, made of stainless steel, provide very low passage rates but very high passage speeds. This creates a very fine aerosol fog.
Info Matic the PC program as version Windows 95 Big Dutchman s PC management program called Info Matic offers a graphic representation of the entire house climate. Info Matic is running under Windows 95 and offers the user a good survey of the connected houses and their in-house environment conditions. You can open the house by a simple mouse click. Possible deviations can be rapidly analysed and the respective measures can be taken.
