Report Number: 126076-EMC1 EMC Report Page: RS 6/17 Test description: The surges are coupled into the mains supply entrance of the EUT by means of the coupling filter listed in the test equipment table. The coupling unit is used for testing the external wiring. Signal ports are tested when wires may exceed 30 metres according to manufacturer s specifications. For DC power ports this is 10 metres. The time in between pulses must not exceed 60 seconds. Requirements: Performance criterion B: The EUT shall continue to operate as intended after the test. No degradation of performance or loss of function is allowed below a performance level specified by the manufacturer, when the EUT is used as intended. The performance level may be replaced by a permissible loss of performance. During the test, degradation of performance is however allowed. No change of actual operating state or stored data is allowed. If the minimum performance level or the performance loss is not specified by the manufacturer, either of these may be derived from the product description and documentation, and from what the user may reasonably expect from the EUT if used as intended. Input and output DC terminals allowed to exceed 10 m: Common mode Surge testing according to EN 61000-6-1 Test level: +/- 0.5 kv, each individual line-earth Start position Two pulses of each polarity for each phase angle (12 per line) Running position One pulse of each polarity for each phase angle (6 per line) Results: Input and output DC terminals exceeding 10 m: Surge testing according to EN 61000-6-1 Standby position Two pulses of each polarity for each phase angle (12 per wire) Coupling mode: common (2 ohm + 40 ohm, 0.5 µf) L1 to PE L2 to PE Test level Polarity 0.5kV Pos Neg A check mark ( ) indicates test specification has been observed and no EUT response detected.

Report Number: 126076-EMC1 EMC Report Page: RS 7/17 The EUT complies with performance criterion B of EN 61000-6-1. Conclusion: The Fire extinguisher activator, brand FirePro Systems, type Activator meets the requirements of EN 61000-6-1 with regard to immunity to voltage surges. 3.3 Immunity to electrical fast transients/burst (EFT) - Test performed in accordance with EN 61000-4-4 - Severity levels and performance criteria in accordance with EN 61000-6-1, clause 8 - KIWA test procedure: WV_EU_EM.TIEF: General procedure for testing the immunity behaviour of electrical and electronic appliances, systems and installations to electrical fast transients - Measurement uncertainty: Parameter: Test level (range): Level uncertainty: Uncertainty in spike amplitude 500 2000 V 12 % Uncertainty in rise time of spike 5 ns 40 % Uncertainty in duration of spike 50 ns 23 % Uncertainty in repetition frequency of 5 khz 0.1 % spikes Uncertainty in duration of the bursts 15 ms 1.7 % Uncertainty in burst period 300 ms 0.1 % The reported expanded uncertainty is based on a standard uncertainty multiplied by a coverage factor of k=2, providing a level of confidence of approximately 95%. A reference ground plane is placed 10 cm behind the EUT in case this is a wall hung appliance. If the EUT is a floor standing appliance, the reference ground plane is placed on the floor and the EUT 10 cm above it. The EUT is placed on a table with a reference plane 10 cm beneath it. The disturbing transients from the EFT generator are coupled into the wires with the use of a coupling device, except for the AC or DC power wires which are connected directly to the generator. When testing 3 phase equipment only one phase is exposed at a time because of the lack of a 3 channel coupling device. The phase that is used in the EUT to power the control electronics is tested first and only when relevant with regard to possible susceptibility the phases are rotated to include the other 2 phases in the test.

Report Number: 126076-EMC1 EMC Report Page: RS 8/17 Notes: - The disturbance must be present for one minute minimum per polarity of pulses. - Pulses of each polarity are coupled directly to phase, neutral, phase + neutral and phase + neutral + safety earth. - Required pulse repetition frequency: 5 khz Requirements: Performance criterion B: The EUT shall continue to operate as intended after the test.
