Angepasste Wärmenutzung SolarPlus / perfectly adapted systems for heat recovery Based on our long-time experience with heat recovery in drying systems and by utilizing our simulation system, we are able to develop the best heat recovery system for your appliance. Depending on temperature level, heat availability, site conditions, sludge properties and drying target, we apply an optimized systems of heat exchangers, pre-heating of intake air and floor-heating. Via sensors, the central control unit, equipped with ClimaControl receives real time information about current heat recovery and optimizes its utilization. Beispiel Provence SolarPlus / example of a smaller installation High up in the North of Germany, one of the smallest SolarPlus plants is located. It dries more than 1 500 tons per year on a drying surface of 400 m². Supplementary heat is coming from a nearby biomass-treatment plant, which produces electric power from biogas. Waste heat from the gas engines is delivered to the SolarPlus-unit by utilizing a hot water circuit. Beispiel Provence SolarPlus / example of a large size installation This SolarPlus-installation puts waste heat of a nearby industrial plant to beneficial use by utilizing it for drying more than 40 000 tons of sludge. In this application SolarPlus can showcase its tremendous flexibility: on most weekends when no waste heat is available, drying is purely solar. In peak production times, up to 7 MW are efficiently utilized for drying. SolarPlus / example in industry This SolarPlus-installation works within an industrial unit situated in Belgium. It treats the entire sludge from the inhouse WWTP by solar energy and utilizing 400 KW of waste heat. This SolarPlus does not only reduce the cost of sludge disposal, but also contributes significantly to meet the self imposed targets of drastically reducing the waste production of the unit. SolarPlus / example for effluent treatment This SolarPlus-unit is situated in a biogas plant in Dordogne valley (Southern France). There, agricultural residues and bio-waste are transformed to electric power. The effluent of the biogas plant is utilized as a fertilizer in agriculture. However, transport distances are sometimes long and the season for land application is restricted to a short time-span after the end of summer harvest. In order to reduce the related storage and transportation costs, the effluent is dried with SolarPlus. 1 The Electric Mole For efficient, even drying it is crucial that the sludge in the drying chamber is evenly distributed and periodically turned over, mixed and ventilated. With the Electric Mole, Thermo-System offers a solution that is not only smart, but also extremely economical. The Electric Mole is made out of stainless-steel and has been proven to work in most types of sludges over the period of many years. The Electric Mole finds its way about the drying chamber with the help of ultrasonic sensors, and works within the entire area fully automatically day by day, week by week, year in, year out Robust, and capable of being taken out of the drying chamber at any time that means optimum ease of maintenance and redundancy at all times. No matter what kind of sludge, no matter what d.s.-content the Electric Mole even deals with the sticky phase without difficulty! The Electric Mole is started fully automatically via the controls of the drying plant 1 to 30 times a day, depending on the configuration of the plant and the drying conditions for 20 to 60 minutes at a time.
