Unlatch one end, swinging frame up/out approximately 45 and unhook the hinge from the housing. Refer to See Sheet 3 for instructions. Set lens aside and re-install as last step of installation. Remove electrical access cover. Note: Steps two and three can be reversed if ceiling space constraints required. Install the (4) T-bar brackets into the housing slots in each of the four corners using a #8 screw. Brackets may be bent to accommodate obstructions. If fixture is marked for orientation ( HEAD or FOOT ), be sure to align in the proper direction. Install the fixture in the T-bar grid system by lifting the fixture through the opening and lowering it onto the T-bar grid. 3. Attach support wires from each of the four T-bar brackets to the building structure. 4. If required, drill hole in the ceiling grid at the T-bar hole locations and attach the fixture to the grid with #8 fasteners. Drawing: 762000XX Rev: A Sheet: 2 of 8 Eng: CLD Date Drawn: 04/21/17

THERMAL PROTECTOR (AS SHIPPED) HOUSING THERMAL PROTECTOR (1) OR (2) USED Latch Access Cover THERMAL PROTECTOR INSTALLATION (WHEN SUPPLIED) THERMAL PROTECTOR (INSTALLED) HOUSING The thermal protectors are shipped taped to the side of the housing to prevent damage in shipment. After installation into the T-bar grid system, remove the tape and push the thermal protector into the hole in the housing until it snaps in place. CAUTION: The thermal protectors must not contact the T-bar grid system. f the housing has two thermal protectors, install the second protector like the first. Wire the fixture per instruction on pages 3 and 4. Drawing: 762000XX Rev: A Sheet: 3 of 8 Eng: CLD Date Drawn: 04/21/17

Flange spacing on the "long" axis of the fixtures should be 48" nominal (standard 4-foot). Flange spacing on the "short" axis of the fixtures should be 1' centerto-center. It may be necessary to modify an existing grid installation to accomodate the fixtures. Remove the lens/diffuser assembly from each fixture before attempting installation by unlatching one end. Swing frame up/out approximately 45 and un-hook hinge. Set assemblies aside and re-install as last step of installation. Install the fixtures into the grid flange system by lifting the fixtures at an angle through the opening and lowering them onto the grid flanges. Install T-bar mounting brackets to each of the four corners of each fixture with provided screws, nuts, and washers as shown. Attach fixture to T-bar grid system at all four corners using #10 fasteners (not included) through holes in mounting brackets. It may be necessary to drill a hole in the vertical web of the T-bar grid members. If required by code or weight restrictions of the ceiling grid, affix support wires from the building structure to the attachment eyelets in the mounting brackets as shown. Remove the wiring cover plate in the Master fixture (between the linear fluorescent and compact fluorescent lampholders) by unscrewing (4) #8 screws. Install the free end of the umbilical cable from the remote fixture into the master fixture and secure the plate with supplied nuts. Plug the connector(s) together inside the master fixture to complete the electrical circuits to the remote fixture. Make connections to line voltage per the diagram above. All connections to fixture driver are at line voltage. Use of a separate control interface, is require to control fixture by means other than line-voltage switches. All AC inputs to fixture must be supplied from the same branch circuit. After making wiring connections, re-install the wiring cover plate in the master fixture, install lamps, and re-install lens/diffuser frames that were removed before installation in the grid system. It is not recommended that optional -BSLED lighting be controllable from the patient bed, pillow speaker, or patientaccessible wall controls. Ambient line and exam line must both be energized to achieve exam light levels on patient bed surface. All electrical connections are made in the master fixture.
