GreenMaster HP Exhaust air heat pump for residential properties
Air-Site We are a Swedish company that likes air and energy recovery. That's why we develop products that use air to heat, cool and provide good-quality air. Our areas of expertise include FreeCooling, Air Handling Units, exhaust air systems and presentation and monitoring systems. Good-quality material and consistently high standards at all stages of production are required to achieve maximum energy savings. We never cut corners on quality. Since 2008, when we began our family business producing FreeCooling units in the garage at home, we have grown into a strong force in the ventilation sector. Although a great deal has changed during our expansion in recent years, we still have our small-business entrepreneurial spirit and flexibility. We work in close partnership with customers right from the development phase in order to create unique solutions that perfectly match the needs of the market. Our production facility, warehouses and offices are located in Lindome just south of Gothenburg in Sweden. We have development, support and marketing departments in the UK and representatives throughout Europe. We became part of the NIBE group of companies in 2016. Quality, expertise and proximity are our strengths and are reasons why so many apartment building owners choose our ventilation systems. 2 GreenMaster HP www.air-site.com
Exhaust fan Cooling coil Filter Upper section Air inlet Pipe connections Lower section UN Heat pump High temperature range: Flow line temperature 65 C. Return temperature 58 C. Heat pump Air flow 0.2 2.2 m³/s. Easy to remove the cooling module. Fire damper prevents flue gases entering the entire unit. GreenMaster HP exhaust air unit & heat pump The Swedish National Board of Housing (Boverket) has announced that it will be raising energy efficiency performance standards for housing in a couple of years. Our GreenMaster HP has been designed and engineered to meet the new standards and requirements of the Swedish National Board of Housing. It is an exhaust air unit with an integrated heat pump that recovers heat from exhaust air. GreenMaster HP has excellent aerodynamic properties, offers high energy savings and low noise emission. The product works in buildings with exhaust air ventilation systems that do not currently recycle indoor air. Aerodynamic qualities GreenMaster HP is built with one upper and one lower section. The ventilation system is contained in the upper section. The air flow is channelled straight across the upper section through the air intake on one end and the air passes evenly over the entire surface of the filter. The unit is equipped with software-controlled circulation pumps that supply the heat pump and the heating system with a suitable flow. Good energy savings The heat pump is located inside the lower section. It uses an inverter-controlled compressor, which means it increases and decreases speed according to prevailing needs. This improves efficiency and reduces energy consumption. Green- Master HP cools the exhaust air from about 21 C to almost 0 C and produces radiator water and/or hot water regardless of whether the building has district heating or not. www.air-site.com GreenMaster HP 3
The supply temperature reaches a maximum of 65 C and the advanced control logic continuously adapts the cooling performance to achieve maximum recovery based on the current air flow. GreenMaster HP has a colour display and state-of-theart controls connected to the Internet via myupway, plus scheduling and adjustment of indoor and hot water temperatures. The control module is the most important parameter for optimal recovery of air and has been uniquely designed in partnership with NIBE. Low noise level GreenMaster HP has such a low noise emission, it can be installed in the attic above a bedroom without any problem. Noise from a heating system is usually due to vibrations. This product is designed with a well-insulated sandwich structure and built-in compressor sealed in a soundproof enclosure to keep noise levels to a minimum. Furthermore, by reducing vibrations you extend the service life. No annual inspection The unit comprises six modules and comes with a connected brine system that has been tested and filled. The HP unit is airtight and contains less than 5 tonnes of CO 2 equivalent, which means there is no requirement for an annual inspection of the refrigerant circuit. It is also possible to request delivery of the GreenMaster HP without the six modules assembled. The unit is then filled with the brine on site following installation by a qualified HVAC or ventilation technician. 4 GreenMaster HP www.air-site.com
Flowchart Basic features GreenMaster HP cools the exhaust air from about 21 C to almost 0 C. The heat pump produces radiator water and/ or hot water regardless of whether the building has district heating or not. Fire safety features, pressure control, filter and flow metering, secondary flow metering and other key functions are selected via the Air-Site GreenMaster Application. Accessory features Energy meter An energy meter makes it possible to measure the active energy that flows through the measurement point. The building's total energy consumption can be monitored when the meter is connected to the pipe. Flow meter for water We have incorporated a flow meter for air and for water into GreenMaster HP. By measuring the water flow and temperature difference, we obtain the heat output. The coefficient of performance (COP) can be calculated using the heat output and power input. It is also very useful to measure the water flow when troubleshooting. Pressure control Air-Site s control system allows us to monitor important para meters: Increased pressure drop over the cooling coils at freezing temperatures. Full filter alarm. The fan flow is measured and when the duct pressure changes (due to stove hood operation), the fan speed is adjusted accordingly. Indoor or outdoor The product comes in three versions for installation indoors and two versions for installation outdoors. www.air-site.com GreenMaster HP 5
