Central Heating Fund First time central heating installation; eligibility criteria: Non-gas i.e. currently do not use mains gas as the primary heating fuel, AND Do not have central heating, AND Domestic properties only - open to all tenures (homeowner, private and social tenant), AND Household must be at risk of fuel poverty(officially classed as fuel poor Hill s definition) contact COSIE to enquire, OR Meet the MTB criteria To access the service, a referral can be made via the COSIE programme Community benefits team Advice and assistance on welfare benefits, primarily for vulnerable client groups e.g. Those with mental health needs Those with physical disabilities Older people The team can help with: Identifying appropriate benefits and services Completing and submitting claims Appeals and tribunal processes To access the service, a referral must be made by a professional in the health and/or social care sector. Handyperson service The Ealing handyperson service arranges minor jobs in the home for older, disabled or vulnerable people. Heater loan 020 8825 6070, option 1 Volunteer Link Scheme (VLS) One-to-one volunteer befriending is offered to people within the London Borough of Ealing who are housebound and socially isolated as a result of disability or a long term illness. Anyone can refer a client to the VLS simply by completing the referral form.
