Suxess Compact Top HEALTHY INDOOR ENVIRONMENT WITH ENERGY EFFICIENT VENTILATION

Quality and performance with skills and tradition Suxess is based in Enköping, Sweden, where we both develop and produce highly modern ventilation units for all types of premises. For us at Suxess ERV, creating world-class indoor environments with absolute minimal energy use and low sound level is our primary objective. The city of Enköping has a solid tradition within ventilation with energy recovery that our employees carry on with experience and specialized expertise. This provides us with both a safe platform for advanced product development and the ability to grow at a rapid pace. A strong customer focus and great flexibility are the cornerstones of our business concept. We sell both standardized and custom-made units to suit the client s wishes. We offer compact ventilation units that are easy to install and maintain, and are guaranteed service-friendly. The extensive industry experience of our knowledgeable workforce is noted in our ability to develop new technical solutions that simultaneously utilize the best from older ventilation techniques. 2

Our vision is to be a leading player within energy recovery units. We will achieve this by providing customers with the best solutions for products, services, support and software. The Suxess product selection software will be the best and most modern on the market. The software is a convenient tool enabling us to offer the best product for every need. Product development is carried out in dialogue with our customers, and the products are designed in 3D using the latest CAD software. The units are then manufactured at our modern plant in Enköping. Top units with exceptional performance Suxess Compact Top (CT) is a new series of top-connected ventilation units in three sizes. The units, which are very compact, have low sound level and very high efficiency. Our products can display the best overall technical data on the market. The highly modern units feature integrated control equipment. All connections for ventilation, electricity and water are on the top part of the unit, which makes it both practical and easy to connect our energy-efficient units. The Suxess Compact Top units are manufactured either completely in aluzink-coated steel plate or with a sturdy framework of aluminum profiles. The rugged construction is immediately apparent not only in the materials used, but also in hinges, handles and other details. All third-party components are supplied by leading international manufacturers, and high quality is always our first priority when selecting a supplier. Top-connected units in three sizes, with nominal flows of 0.4, 0.8 and 1.6 m 3 per second, respectively. All connections aimed upwards. Units available in both right and left versions. Fans with EC-motors for highest possible efficiency. Units feature built-in reheaters for electricity or water. 4

Constructions with low internal pressure drops, highly efficient fans and filters provide low sound levels, absolute minimum energy use and practical solutions that simplify service. These are some important details that distinguish the Suxess Compact Top. The units are completely protected from dust and moisture all the way to the actual installation. For example, all duct connections are fitted with sealed plastic covers. After a quick and simple start-up, the unit is ready for operation. Our sales force is always on hand if any questions suddenly arise. The service-friendly solutions are another important factor that makes it easy to manage the Suxess Compact Top. The filters for supply and exhaust have to be changed at even intervals to maintain a clean indoor environment, and this is accomplished easily in only a few simple operations. Other servicefriendly features include an easily retractable fan and an easily removable rotor. The unit s energy-efficient and flexible control systems make sure its components always operate correctly. There are two alternatives for incoming power feed: 3 x 400 V or 3 x 230 V. The 50 mm thick insulation between the inner and outer plating guarantees that the unit maintains a low sound level. All components also have extremely high vibration reduction. The units can fit through openings up to 900 millimeters wide. Accessories include adjustable feet, u-pipes, flow meters, dampers, silencers and shunts. The units are equipped with type F7 filters as standard, on both the supply and exhaust sides. 5

Control systems The Suxess Compact Top series is available in several versions, with or without control systems. For example, we offer our own standardized control equipment Suxess Control. For clients in need of more features and communication alternatives, there is the Siemens Climatix. The units can also be delivered without control systems. In one option, electricity for the fans and the rotor motor is conected to a terminal block in the connector box. Another requires an electrician to make all installations on site. Suxess Control and Siemens Climatix General features Integrated control equipment in the unit. Modbus communication and efficiency measuring is a standard feature. 1 4 fan speeds in Suxess Control and 1 3 in Siemens. Temperature control Sensor for supply temperature assures a constant supply temperature through sequence control. The desired supply temperature is adjusted in relation to the outside temperature according to a preset curve. Exhaust control/room control Sensors for exhaust temperature assure a constant exhaust temperature through sequence control. Supply sensors limit the minimum and maximum supply temperature. The desired exhaust temperature is adjusted in relation to the outside temperature according to a preset curve. If exhaust sensors are replaced or supplemented with room sensors, room control is achieved. Flow control Constant fan rotation at one to four speeds Desired values for one to four speeds are set via a control panel. Speed changes are made via a timer-controlled channel. Pressure control SF, EF (VAV control) The pressure in the supply and exhaust ducts is held constant with pressure sensors and by controlling the speed of the fans. Air quality (CO 2 ) fan control When CO 2 sensors (room or duct sensors) read levels above the set desired value, the amount of is increased until the desired level is reached. Moisture regulation (Rh) fan control When Rh sensors (room or duct sensors) read levels above the set desired value, the amount of is increased until the desired level is reached. Rotating heat exchanger The efficiency of the heat exchanger is regulated in sequence with the heat and cooling coil. The rotation speed and thereby the recapture rate is controlled by the heat exchanger s internal control system. Efficiency measurement heat exchanger The temperature efficiency is measured above the heat exchanger when the control signal is 100 percent. Electrical heater The efficiency of the electrical heater is regulated in sequence with the heat exchanger and the cooling coil. The necessary control equipment for efficiency regulation is integrated into the electrical heater. The electric battery is post-cooled by regularly turning off the unit. Heating coil The efficiency of the heating coil is regulated in sequence with the heat exchanger and the cooling coil. The heating coil receives information from freeze protection sensors, which force open the valve when there is risk of freezing, shut down the unit and keep the coil warm in a standstill. 10

Water cooling coil The efficiency of the cooling coil is regulated in sequence with the heat exchanger and the heating coil. Night cooling The unit is started at night to cool the rooms with outside. Cooling energy recovery by way of rotating heat exchanger If there is a need for cooling and the outside temperature exceeds the set temperature of the exhaust, the recovery unit for cooling the exhaust will start automatically. Filter guard Filter guards SF/EF. When the pressure exceeds the set value on the respective filter guards, an alarm is activated. Control by annual clock The weekly program is a seven-day program for start and stop and for two to four speed operation with the possibility of controlling the unit with different weekend programs. Operating information The following operative information can be accessed by way of the control panel: The actual temperature in the intake, exhaust and outside, as well as network operation status, fan status, current desired values and outgoing signals. Circulation pump for coils The circulation pump stops if no need exists and the pump is maintenance run during standstills. Alarms and operating indication These are indicated very clearly on the control panel. The following events will trigger an indication: Deviations from the desired value of the supply. Alarm from rotating heat exchanger, electrical battery, freeze protector, fans for supply/exhaust, sensor malfunction, filter guards and external smoke/fire detectors, etc. A sum alarm is connected to a terminal block in the unit for any necessary onward connection. Accessories Timer 1 8 hours Air quality (CO 2 ) room sensor Air quality (CO 2 ) duct sensor Moisture (Rh) duct sensor Moisture (Rh) room sensor Pressure sensor for duct pressure control Room temperature sensor Siemens Climatix Extra features Control panel/hmi with large IP65-class display. Menus and selections are easy to find and choose. One control panel/hmi can control several units. More control panels/hmi can be designated to one unit. Siemens Climatix has up to three fan speeds. Uplink to superior systems via: Modbus TCP-IP/RTU OPC BACnet Lon Pressure control SF and EF with flow surveillance Holds the pressure constant in the SF and EF ducts by way of flow surveillance of SF and EF. Pressure control of SF (EF) with slave control of EF (SF) and flow surveillance Holds the pressure in the SF (EF) duct constant and slave controls the flow in EF (SF) by way of flow surveillance, SF and EF. The pressure in the supply duct is held constant by way of pressure sensors and fan rotation speed control. The flow from the supply slave controls the flow from the exhaust fan via the fan rotation speed control, so that the flow in the room is balanced. Flow control of SF and EF and flow surveillance Holds the SF and EF pressure constant. The flow in the unit is held constant by way of measuring probes in the respective fan inlets and rotation speed control of the fans. Desired values for the one to three speeds are set using the control panel. A timer-controlled channel is used to switch between speeds. Operation time measurement The total number of operation hours can be seen in the control panel. Alarm indication occurs after a set number of hours. Alarm and operation indication Indicated very clearly on the control panel. The 50 latest events are saved in an alarm history. The following events will trigger an indication: Deviation in the difference pressure/ flow. Sum alarm and operation status indication are connected to a terminal block in the unit for any necessary onward connection. Smoke and fire A control unit for control and surveillance of dampers with fire and/or fire gas capability and smoke detectors. Fan control in the event of fire where the following alternatives can be selected. Fire fan maintenance run with pressure surveillance Stop SF/EF, Stop SF/Operation EF, Operation SF/Stop EF, Operation SF/Operation EF Control of fire damper SF/EF shutdown 11

Suxess has a comprehensive and optimal assortment of products, both standard range and customer-specific units. Tailor-made solutions focused on the needs of the customer are just one of our many strengths. Suxess offers alternative solutions to optimize the size of the ventilation unit based on the desired flow. At the same time, the customer gets a cost-efficient unit. Some customer-specific offers from Suxess: Roof-placed units for schools, industries and larger facilities. Adjustments of the standard line, such as stainless steel finish, easily disassembled units and flat-packs. A roof-placed unit can require unique solutions when it comes to dimensioning, connections and other technical areas. We also offer technical support to customers who wish to replace their old units with a new, modern one. Perhaps this might be a unit from Bahco Ventilation, which was once developed by our most experienced engineers. 12

Environment and quality An active environmental focus reduces the company s use of resources, lowers costs and contributes to a better environment for all of society. A management system for quality and the environment is a cornerstone for us at Suxess ERV, and the right tool for executing an effective and well-organized environmental program. It also provides a working model for continuous improvement. In order to provide good results it is necessary to have routines for continuous improvements and their implementation. By monitoring and measuring our results we ensure that the company s internal processes are both environmentally and qualitatively secured. Suxess is a member of the trade association Svensk Ventilation, which works to strengthen the efforts to find new talent, quality and certification with - in the sector. All Suxess products include filters, heat exchangers and other components that have been certified by Eurovent. The next step for us is to certify the internally developed products of Suxess and thus acquire our own certification. 13
