For instructions on operation, maintenance and further description of the product please refer to the Operation and Maintenance manual. Safety Instructions Intended use The Mira LED treatment light is designed to provide local illumination of the body of a patient for diagnosis or examination. The light is not designed for use during surgery. It is designed for continuous operation. It must be possible to stop the examination or diagnosis without danger to the patient if the light fails during use. User profiles Medical staff All persons with medical training who work in the field for which they were trained. Cleaning staff All persons familiar with national and workplace hygiene requirements. Electricians All persons with training in electronics and electrical technology who are familiar with the relevant standards and regulations. Certified installers Persons qualified by training, knowledge, experience and knowledge of the regulations to install and remove the equipment. Safety instructions The instructions are part of the product and must be kept so they are accessible for all subsequent users. All applicable occupational health and safety regulations and the requirements specified by the national regulators for hygiene and disinfection must be observed to reduce the risk of disease transmission as much as possible. All work on the light (including repairs) must be done by qualified electricians only. The light must be installed by a certified installer. The light must not be modified or manipulated. Use in any other manner than with the original parts may result in different specifications and life-threatening dangers. The light must not be used in an explosive environment. The power supply to the light is a potential ignition source. The light must be used in dry rooms only. The light must not be left on unattended. Keep all flammable equipment and objects away from the light head and light cone during use. The protective earth must be connected to the light housing for lights of safety class I. Do not use a damaged light. Defective cables can also be a potential hazard. Do not position cables near heat sources or sharp edges. Eye damage. Never look directly at the light cone. Replace damaged glass before using the light again. The light must be connected to the mains with a protective earth to prevent electric shock. Never apply additional loads to the light head and the spring arm. Do not cover the light with a cloth or similar stuff while operating. Safety Instructions Specific fitting instructions Mira LED Ceiling Mount Mounting material not included in delivery. The ceiling mount may be fitted to ceiling only with a concrete strength of B25 (C20/25) or greater. Contact with reinforcing elements of the solid slab ceiling must be avoided. In case of doubt, a licensed fitter should control the mounting on the respective surface. The drill holes should be made by a skilled person in accordance with the drill hole tolerances recommended by the manufacturer of the fastening anchors. The screws must be carefully tightened using a torque wrench in accordance with the recommendations oft he manufacturer oft he fastening anchors. Mira LED Wall Mount Mounting material not included in delivery. The light may be mounted only on walls that guarantee sufficient hold. The necessary technical information can be found in the Installation section of this manual. Installation: Mira LED Floorstand Remove M3 Allen screws on the sides and remove the power supply case. Push together the cables oft he upper and lower stand tube until a click is heard. Loosen the 2 M6 Allen screws on the lower stand tube. Thread the stand tube cable through the wheeled stand. Attach the lower stand tube to the wheeled stand using the 2 M6 Allen screws. Mount the upper stand tube on to the lower stand. Push together the cable of the lower stand tube and the power supply until a click is heard. Tighten the screws of the power supply case with M3 Allen screw and lock washers. Screw the cable holder on to the lower stand tube using M4 Allen screw. Never unscrew the upper cable holder danger of injury. When both cable holders are removed, the connector is then free and can fall causing possible injury and/or damage to the cable and equipment. 6 Amico Lighting Solutions

Replace damaged power cable before using the light again. The mains voltage and frequency must match the data on the name plate. Disinfecting, Cleaning and Sterilization Damage due to improper cleaning Do not use alcohol, solvent or cleaning agents containing chlorine or scouring agents. Damage to lens by concentrated disinfectant or solvent. Follow the manufacturer s recommended mixing ratio. Use of incorrect cloths may scratch lens. A dirty lens will reduce the illuminating power. Clean lens regularly. Spray and wipe disinfection is permitted. 2 Clean the PMMA lens with a leather cloth soaked in cleaner. Plug in cable. Install the cable to the mains supply. Switch on 2. If both cable retainers are unscrewed, the connection will be loose and will fall, which may cause injury and damage to the cables and lamp.
